I have a 2018 Ram 1500 5.7l with a CAI, 4.10 gears, a throttle body spacer and I did the pcm swap with the Diablo 93 octane tune last week. It 100% woke it up.
I have a story to tell, hope you don't mind. I bought a used 2015 challenger from a local Cadillac dealer. The car has been lowered, cat back exhaust, corsa cold air intake and a granatelli 95 mm throttle body, A aluminum one piece drive line from drive line shop all was discovered after I got it home and started looking it over. I thought it would be fun to buy a Diablo i3 for it so I ordered it from American muscle. Long story short I spent 600.00 plus for tuner and swap to find out my pcm was already unlocked the person trading it in kept the tuner and didn't tell the deal. I'm hoping to get a few bucks back because I don't need the swap . I contacted American muscle and they said contact Diablo , I hope between the both of them they will help me out really hate paying 600+ for a 400.00 tuner.
Well that’s quite a surprise! Sounds like a badass car! I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to get all your money back. A simple return. Thank you for sharing!
You can just look at the speedometer and tell too, I have a 5.7 Chrysler 300 which has the exact same speed of the challenger and charger, and your moving speeds faster than mine.
I have a question Can you please reply but I have a RT that use 89 if I use the Diablo tuner and tune it to 93 octane will it damage the car or motor switching to 93 I know this might sound crazy but I’m still learning ?
Your car will run better on 93. Just drain out all the 87 before tunning it to 93. Or leave around 50km and than add 93. But no your motor will last wayy longer using 93. I only use 93 on mine.
I bought a bmr front strut brace for my rt challenger and the ride feels so much better. I'm eventually going to add some hp upgrades to it, but I'm on the fence on the i3 tuner. My main peeve is the throttle response. I don't want a throttle enhancer in the cabin and I'm looking at the afe scorcher programmer that goes under the hood. Is the diablo i3 tuner worth 500 in your opinion? I'm just working on the suspension for now .
It depends on what you're looking for. I bought the unlocked PCM and the tuner for $1100 just to disable the MDS permanently and I'm happy with that for now. I'm happy just running the recommended 89 octane and am not really interested in spending the extra money that premium costs. Unless you are going to opt for a custom tune(probably $200 more) then its not worth it from a pure performance standpoint in my opinion.
To be honest, i do think it was worth it in the end. Making this purchase opens many "doors" for you to do with your car. I personally can tell a difference just by doing the stock tune that diablosport provides. You can also have a real life tuner make a custom tune specific for your vehicle's needs as well. If you are thinking of continuing down the path of modding this would definitely be a wise purchase to make!
The Diablo sport built 93 tune runs with a 1 flex most of the early band of the fuel map running it between 13.6 and 14.2 af during Max rev, a custom tune could give you a right on the spot stoich, but that's given good fuel, with America's flex on shit imported fuel, its safe to run with a 1 on the af in case you get bad gas you will thank yourself for having just a slightly delayed ignition still as opposed as running and hoping it's perfect every time . The Diablo sport the safely runs the upgraded octane boost of 93 giving you about a 20-30 hp upgrade that's in fact you also run some open sort of intake wether it's a drop in knn or a shiney over priced one and some exhaust work, majority cat Deletes, you can keep quiet on this with a flowmaster dual 40 res delete still, and quite a monster. Wether or not it's a v6 or v8. I have an sxt 2018, with some weight mods -350 gone without bastardizing it, a racing aluminum driveshaft and a tune. I push away rts until 75 from a stop. And I'm better on gas :))))))
Swapped driver seat for lightweight sparco -50 lbs, lighter battery but reliable -20 lbs, muffler delete -40, res delete -22, flowmaster super 10 +10lbs, cat delete 20, passenger seat delete -60, rear seat driver side passenger bench delete -21, spare tire tool and tray and lining -50, bumper support deletes -44 all around, aluminum racing driveshaft -25, +25-30ish with diablosport 93 octane working with intake and cat delete. My little Hoe is fast. Pulls on stock subi stis in my town and blew away a friends hemi from a dig half a length till he matched me around 75-80 but most light street races are done then, I need a wider rear tires because I slip just a tick before I hook now, but a good set of 275s would be perfect. Will be doing with a 17 inch rim swap opposed to my stock 18s. Will save unsparing weight there as well and that can feel as if I'm anywhere from 50-200 lbs lighter depending on my setup with rotational force.
The v6 has plenty of street able power. It can do its full 160. My 0-100 is what matters the most, that's what makes my car a fun daily without too much bastardizing. Still have room for a passenger with plenty of leg room and since airbags are temp disabled due to seat delete change. It's for the best.. and car looks clean. Drives fast. I should just throw in one of them nos sub speakers in place of my front passenger seat just so I have an excuse 😅 don't need now. Only things that get me in my town are corvettes, high mod tuners with boost upgrades, and mustangs, but let's give it to Ford, they make their mustangs too light with too much power, fast yes, not controllable, with opened up against our boater challengers, but hey I like feeling good going fast, planted, and I'm 6 3. I need the room. Than a light floated feel doing 80-100 with a windy highway usually up towards chicago
So all in all 3400 lbs after reduction. That's a 400 including wheels. And about 30 hp increase with diablosport 93 tune and one time pcm. That makes power to weight for the v6 now at .1hp per pound vs the hemi rt 5.7 at .089. That's a firm 10 percent faster than the rt with a v6 monkey wrench upgrade. The dcs pack has a power to weight ratio of .11. So that's a lot of heat to bring especially with easier hooks on lower power lighter weight setups. My launch will be faster every time. :))))
Hey man was hoping you could help maybe have some knowledge. I bought this intune i3 with the pcm swap kit for my 2017 R/T. What’s the process with the original pcm? Don’t you have to copy the codes or something so the new pcm doesn’t get bricked ? If so do those directions come with the new pcm ?
Your new PCM will come with easy directions, if you watch the video on my channel where i actually install the new pcm youll see how simple it really is. All i had to do was unplug the stock PCM and replace it with the unlocked PCM. i didnt have to copy anything over from the original. Hope this was helpful!
Diablosport guy has been emailing me for 3-5 days now but no help whatsoever and even claimed I was the first customer with this issue which I have shown him screen shots showing him I'm not the only one.

I have a 2018 dodge challenger, Diablo tuned, holy shit HUGE difference, I was blown away and couldn’t stop laughing out of sheer joy.
what diablo tuner do you have and what did you tune?
I can’t wait man my Challenger is a 6peed 22 rt I can’t wait to tune mine and put my long tubes headers on as well

The previous owner kept the controller
Nice interior. You need to do a 0 - 60 time. Mine does 4.7 stock.
Definitely opened that thing up
My dude was speechless at the 4:40 mark lol

I own a 2010 Challenger RT with the tremic 6 speed, and i just ordered the Dioblo tuner yesterday, can i expect an increase also?
I assume this voids the warranty? As in the dealer can tell your pcm has been altered?

Before tunning it add the fuel n drive w it for couple of days so the engine readjusts to 93.
If you use an any tune with a different octane rating your engine will knock. Do not do that. Wait till all fuel is the tuning fuel.
I have a 2015 rt plus 6 speed I can't find 93 octane in my area
You might have to use 91? Or whatever is available to you, not really worth having to travel very far IMO
Can you put normal gas on this turn?
Was it on sport Mode?

It's easy to break the tires loose on my R/T.
Wondering if you could see a diff on your G force meter?
u gotta let the hemis warm up.. they have alot of oil in them.,,
Sup bro hey I'm doing the 93 Diablo tuneon my 5.7 300 have a question do u add the 93 gas before or after tune?
I’d make sure it’s been running on 93 before adding
That interior is 🔥 my Diablo pcm comes in tomorrow
Where did you order it from?
Where did you order the diablosport from?
So is it worth a grand?????
Would you say its worth it for the 500$ price tag? Im thinking about getting it for my 15 charger rt but idk if its worth 500 bucks
Thanks!

Quick question? What is your rims and tire set up? Like what size tires and rim with?
My tire size is 245/45ZR20. nothing special at all. i plan on changing that this summer.
@@CarBlindyt ok cool they look bigger than they are lol like the letters on tires!
@@jarvisharris31 Thank you!
Kind of a dumb question but can you use 91 or 89 with the 93 tune?
@@parkerstallings8714 No, it would defeat the purpose of running the tune. It will retard timing if you use 87 or 89 octane on a 93 tune.

Mine won't update on my desktop due to error and won't find wifi networks!
Does it give you an error code?
@@CarBlindyt it says "Response status code does not indicate success: 500 (Internal Server Code)." Then a bunch of computer language

Do you have to have unlocked pcm to use “diablo stock tune”
Unless you have a car thats 2014 or older you need an unlocked PCM for any tune.
Hey was the diablo tune worth the money?
Buying the unlocked PCM and the tuner is a “hard pill to swallow” but it def is worth it if you decide to modify you car.
Get a bigger throttle body air intake headers and it will rip
Best 0-60?
4.3 seconds
@@CarBlindyt that's wassup wat tune and other mods u have?
Butt dyno approved
Can you still use your sports mode with the 93 tune?
Of course! I think the car runs better in sport mode!
Is it worth a grand???
I don't regret the purchase.
How many miles does it have
45k
Is it 5.7
yes
Does Diablo tune have a e85 tune
