Revive Your Car By Pulling A FUSE? - More HP?

Revive Your Car By Pulling A FUSE? - More HP? Today I test the myth of pulling a fuse to gain horsepower??? This is something ive seen posted numerous time but wanted to give it a try for myself. Pulling this fuse is suppose to reset the "learning adaptives." Meaning the car learns how you drive from day to day and it can really "slow" itself down. Will this actually work, or is it all BS? Lets...

Ppl make sure its LED and not HID cuz I bought my 15 Challenger RT used and it had HIDs also if your lights go out check the fuse box first and make sure the headlight fuses arent blown, saved me $30-$100 in new headlights.
What did you have to replace on the rear end? I just sheared mine from the frame going for my best. 🤢 was holding off on posting video to see if warranty would help but they told me to kik roks…. Curious bro cause I need to make some decisions. #Appreciate
It's not that low bro lol bro is having an orgasm
damn was it hot!
I bought these headlights because of the video. I bought them, and I was super excited but was sent the wrong ones and waiting on the customer support. Man there customer support is horrible.
I take my oil cap off before I drain it and the filter wont suction in
great
What's torque to spec numbers?
Dude, I need your help. I literally just got my 5.7 rt plus, and it has a best of 12.2 seconds. Factory computer and all except the exhaust.
I would suggest a fumoto oil drain valve. It is fantasic and you don’t have to screw with drain plug. Have had mine for 4 years now works like a charm.
Did you have to tune the trans after pulling the fuse?
Nope.
3 year old post I see. Great info. Still have the car? If so, what else have you done?
Still have it! Unfortunately not to much else since this video, lowering springs but no performance mods besides a tune from Jay Greene!
Flat tappet or roller cam? If flat tappet, make sure to check the surfaces using a dial indicator to make sure they are high in the center vs. at the edge by about .001" - .003" equally around the circumference of the surface. If not, get a new set. Otherwise, you may wind up with a flat cam lobe.
Thanks for the advice! It is however a roller.
auto looks so boring 😂
Honestly, you are right. Mistakes were made
I have a 2018 Infiniti q50 I was tune on 93 the car feel a little sluggish but when I try 91 it responsive why is it?
is that dust cover at the bottom REALLY necessary? I'm tempted to leave it off next time. lol I never drive in rain/snow/offroad etc.
I would leave it on, it’s only 4 screws and it prevents rocks from kicking up on the road and cracking your oil pan
That was a HUGE Mopar show!!!! You could spend days going over all of them cars!!
I own a 2010 Challenger RT with the tremic 6 speed, and i just ordered the Dioblo tuner yesterday, can i expect an increase also?
I assume this voids the warranty? As in the dealer can tell your pcm has been altered?
1 tip is to try and loosen the oil filter first before draining the oil. Sometimes if you cannot get the filter off and you need to drive somewhere to get a tool for it , you will be able to because the oil is still in the pan. Thanks for sharing
I have a 2020 Rt 5.7 8 speed It’s a daily driver only thing done is muffler and res delete . 30k miles . It feels sluggish to me at times I dunno . Unless I’m going to get headers etc it’s prolly not worth me doing this correct ??
It is a big decision. The way I see it. Once it’s done it’s done. Unless you still have a warranty on the car I’d prolly wait. But for me I wanted the most from my car. Tuning is the way to go if it’s done the right way
Fuse puller 9000 😂😂😂😂
It’s a technical term 😂
What is jay greene email?
Be sure to check out one of my latest videos where i had him tune my car! ua-cam.com/video/mZb8eBNr8zU/v-deo.html His email - jmgak47@gmail.com
@@CarBlindyt thx bro 🙏🏾 ill check the vid out too
Is it the same process for rt chargers ??
I cant say for 100% but i wouldnt see why there would be a difference.
I cant find the gears for the car anywhere is there a certain spec i need to be looking up when i search 3.90 doesnt pop up
I ordered mine direct from a chrysler dealership. I would try there.
Do they still parade at night? We used to have some outrageous times there 20 yrs ago..Love Mopars
I would have loved to been around back in the day! My dad always tells me story's of the burnout contests they use to have and how wild it really was!
I have a scatpack and have had a jay greene trans and engine tune on it for about three years. First year or so I was at the drag strip a lot and Jay was great to work with to check the tune and do minor tweaks. Last year not so much track time, but this year I got some new drag tires and intend to hit the track regularly. Not disappointed with Jay's tuning in any way. Realistic gains and he doesn't put your motor at risk. 👍
Glad to hear! I can’t wait to make some hits at the track!
Cant wait to see track results. I have a 23 RT Shaker 8 speed and did the 3.9 swap. So far with no spin ran a 13 flat. D.A. was 1500ft. Not to favorable. No tune either but looking into it.
From experience, on a good day with good weather you should definitely dip into the 12s as is!
Yeah man I had my 09 challenger srt8 tuned 93 Diablo it’s very nice 💪💪💪
Such a good decision!
You can just look at the speedometer and tell too, I have a 5.7 Chrysler 300 which has the exact same speed of the challenger and charger, and your moving speeds faster than mine.
What size tires did you have when you lowered it? Looks great 👍🏾
Forgot to take the cam gear out for the oil pump drive and distributor before removing camshaft, it hurts to watch this because as Machinist I've torn down so many engines. Get them ready to be put back together.
I knew there was something I would miss. I know which part you are talking about tho. This was my first time so there was bound to be mistakes.
When your pulling the cam out, you need to be careful not to score the cam bearings in the block, with the cam lobes. Back when I messed with engines, I would thread a long bolt into the cam, and use it as a handle to help guide the cam out. The cam bearings are a bitch to replace, because they need to be orientated with the oil passages drilled in the block. If you install the cam bearings wrong, the cam will starve of oil, and bad things will happen... don't ask me how I know. In general, you should take great care, and go slow when tearing an engine apart, because sending parts to a machine shop is crazy expensive. The shop I work at, charges $150 per hour for machining. We don't machine engine parts, just small quantity runs for local area business. Good job tearing it apart.
Appreciate the advice! I will definitely try to be a little more gentle next time!
Nobody cares about your thunderstorm
Thanks for bringing your miserableness to the video and thanks for watching so I can get paid. Feel free to watch all my other videos and tell me how bad they are too. 🤑🤑
Thanks I kept putting it in the logs file and nothing. Then I placed it out in the open with the entire thing and it loaded up! Thanks! I get my tunes from MMX.
Glad I could help!
Last year I worked on a 64 Bird that had been parked for a decade, mostly outside. About three weeks of simply cleaning the exterior and interior. The rear half had been under a tree and was black with sap and mildew. All it needed mechanically was brakes, exhaust, tires, two new lifters to replace bent ones, belts, hoses, AC compressor, all new vacuum lines under the dash rebuilt water pump, rebuilt power steering pump, rebuilt alternator. Wires, plugs, cap rotor, points, condenser, idler pulley for AC. new radio antenna, new carburetor, new AC receiver drier, new power window relay under the hood, removed the power window motors and regulator and cleaned and regressed. I replaced the rotted out trunk floor with 5/8 inch pvc sheeting. This all took about 10 months of free labor. At that point I sold it for 5 grand which was about a third of what I had invested in it. The motto? Buy a nice original that needs little work. Forget the barn or yard finds.
Unfortunately that seems to be a common thing in our hobby.. Never get out what you put in. At least you have a good story to tell!
I have godspeed coils and the ride is rough and you lose the comfortable ride. Have to super slow down on hard bumps. Will swap out for lowering springs instead.
To this day I love how to car feels on these springs, 100% recommend!
I have a story to tell, hope you don't mind. I bought a used 2015 challenger from a local Cadillac dealer. The car has been lowered, cat back exhaust, corsa cold air intake and a granatelli 95 mm throttle body, A aluminum one piece drive line from drive line shop all was discovered after I got it home and started looking it over. I thought it would be fun to buy a Diablo i3 for it so I ordered it from American muscle. Long story short I spent 600.00 plus for tuner and swap to find out my pcm was already unlocked the person trading it in kept the tuner and didn't tell the deal. I'm hoping to get a few bucks back because I don't need the swap . I contacted American muscle and they said contact Diablo , I hope between the both of them they will help me out really hate paying 600+ for a 400.00 tuner.
Well that’s quite a surprise! Sounds like a badass car! I don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to get all your money back. A simple return. Thank you for sharing!
The previous owner kept the controller
I have a 2015 rt plus 6 speed I can't find 93 octane in my area
You might have to use 91? Or whatever is available to you, not really worth having to travel very far IMO
Runs well
Surprised the heck out of me!
Anything that starts and runs that good at that age is spectacular. If it were mine, I'd scrub the inside just so it would be better to drive.
That’s the plan! Thing deserves some attention!
hey bro ,installed the fender skirt on it.
Great find!!
Yes mold sucks the car has ac that cool Peace out
I had this on my 03 Lexus and it came loose. When I took it out , the check engine light was on and car list acceleration. Light eventually went off but now it often takes so long to accelerate. Should I try putting the Roar back on ?? How do I get the car normal again?? Please help, because the customer service for the company sucks and doesn’t respond
I'm no mechanic, and don't usually know what im taking about. If it were me i would unhook the battery completely for 10-15 mins. This does a good job of resetting things. Just my opinion. Good luck!
I have the same year Challenger Rt. I received the Auxito 24000 lumens set with the driver. After driving for just a few minutes the bulbs got real hot and shut off. Have you had any issues after your installment?
Nothing like that. I would contact them and tell them you had a defect. They should take care of it.
Beautiful car. But you're changing the oil wrong and you're showing it to others to do the same. First, unscrew the oil filter, the old oil from the filter itself and what will flow into the pan will drain from it. And you unscrew the cork and it will fall out of the bowl. You screw on the cap and the old oil from the filter flows into the pan.
I saw one fast car. Well Truck. Cybertruck
Love it!
Thanks for ther settling comment. I was wondering if that was common.
It’s gonna turn into Shit show up there …
