I wish I’d never sold my embellishing machine! I’m off to eBay to see if I can pick up a second hand one.
I’ve been piecing sari yarn and ribbon together by sandwiching between two layers of self adhesive dissolving embroidery backing. I’ve used black thread to anchor it together, then metallic thread to add free motion embroidery design. It’s longer than embellishing onto felt but you get an interesting effect which you can layer onto different fabrics for different effects. Denim looks great or a gold lamė! 😊
