Hi Lubomir. I use the sponges with KA and VG. Ittihad is the second use. Bees cover the sponge with propolis. Israrla it normal? Thanks for starling this method.

Hello. I put the strips in this summer and i left them till now. You think the strips still work? Or should i do a winter treatment? Thx 🙏🙏🙏

Just brilliant...... All those thinking beekeepers are right behind you. You have a very big responsibility that must work. Your operation should be heralded by a fanfare of trumpets. What do the Authorities think about the success as regards the strips? I hope you don't mind me asking that question. Best of wishes Mick in the UK

Great question. The authorities haven’t commented...
      The NZ rules state:-
Schedule 2 of the ACVM Regulations 2011 provides for an exemption from registration under the ACVM Act referred to as the ‘own use’ exemption.
In a beekeeping context, the ‘own use’ exemption is commonly used when a beekeeper prepares and applies preparations containing generic substances, such as oxalic acid or formic acid, to their own hives for control of Varroa mites.

OADe cost us about $.75 (US) a month per hive. Way less than 25% of most other treatments . . . .

Havent heard of Oxalic Acid/ with Glycerine on Cardboard Strips. Interesting concept... 👀
      Tip:
Here in the UK* we use a Ratio of x7 grams per 100ml of Water, then add 100 grams of Sugar (as an OA in 1:1 Syrup Solution.)
And use this as a O/A Trickle*... Make up the Volume you require, but use it straight away, Do Not store it !
(O/A use: follow local Vet Med Laws. Each Country varies to VM approved Treatments.*)
Ideally each Seam of Bees need x5 mls of OA Trickled directly onto them, in the Brood Nest.
I use a large x60ml Oral Drench Syringe from an Animal Vet, or you can by drench guns (eg for Sheep) and set that to x5ml doseage.
      Hope this helps.*

I did OA with sugar water in a weed sprayer.
Opened the lid and hosed down the bees 🐝 just after pulling honey.
