It has come to my attention that I accidentally left in one frame from a different shot at 8:08. I must now delete my entire channel and start over with a Grom.
Great video! Lived in NOLA for years. Learned how to ride on a Rebel and then rode a Sportster 48. The roads are horrific - potholes everywhere, lots of endless windy bridges, no curves whatsoever, daily rain, the list goes on... That said, the community was great and very active. When I moved to northern Virginia, the 48 just didn't cut it in terms of range and agility. Now I'm on a Svartpilen 701 and it feels much more capable.
Lived in Nola for years and started riding there. I had a Harley Street 500 which I enjoyed. I loved the drone shots. Gave me all the feels of being back there. Thanks for this video.
Great video man. I'm planning a trip to Nola later this year or early next (originally planned for last spring but then Miss Rona showed up). Now I'm looking forward to it even more after watching this. Regarding mufflers, I have been very happy with the Vance & Hines on my Speed Twin. The sound is just right with the baffles out, 10k miles later and I still feel no need for a de-cat. Also, speaking of track days, I took my Speed Twin to one last fall and it was an absolute blast. I highly recommend it if you ever get the chance.
I'm hoping to do a couple track days on the Speedy myself, now that I've got the trailer. Good to hear that the bike is up for it. When you do make it down there, be sure to get an All That Jazz po-boy from Verti Marte!

Nice meeting you Kota :). New Orleans is one of me and missus's Bucket list, but being a european dude and dudette, it will only be for one or two days and no motorcycle. One thing I garantee you ... it Will be a couple of sweatty party days ;D. Great video once again. Never thought of that "going" into a city and if it is motorcycleable or not... many thxs for the insights. Twin is looking great!
Just found your channel, 2018 street twin rider, would love to take you on a moto tour of the city if y'all ever come back. Great videos! Edit: yah dude the good riding here is just outside the city in st Bernard, Jefferson parish. Lots of great county riding. Let's ride!
Subscribed. Great video and I’m looking forward to see the next ones. Are you traveling by car and taking your motorcycle on a trolley? If so how do you go on about keeping it safe on your stops? I am not sure how bad is bike theft in America but here in the UK is a massive issue lately.
Thank you! Yeah, I'm towing the bike to a couple different destinations, using each as a home base for a little bit while I telework and ride the local scenic roads. I chain the bike up to the trailer when I'm not riding (Schlage 12mm noose chain and Kryptonite disc lock), and that feels pretty safe. Bike theft exists here, but thankfully it's not quite "pairs of dudes on scooters operating with impunity" bad.
I’ve done the decat on mine running stock mufflers. Loud enough for me. I’ve also removed the snorkel from the air box. If you want to run other mufflers my vote goes to BC predators but don’t decat until you see how loud it is 😎
Nice, I'll probably do the decat first (weight savings, heat management) and then decide whether or not to do slip-ons. I definitely don't want the noise to be obnoxious.
@@VanBlamm I have preds and a motone x pipe. It's obnoxiously good. It is a little loud, but I know they sell the inserts. May try them to see how they tame it for longer rides. If you drive through N Houston let me know and you can see how you like the sound.
Curious, what earplugs do you use? I've used eargasm plugs in the past but they never created a tight seal or stayed in my ear. Great video, love to see you trying new things.
In my opinion the Speed Twin is better (way better performance/handling, lighter weight), although the T120 is a little more comfortable, comes better equipped, and is slightly better looking. They're both great.

Nice, the 701 seems like an ideal bike for our area
Lovely new intro!!!
Really good content 👍🇬🇧

Looking forward to the AZ videos. Such a great area!
Dude new to the channel and you are a brilliant story teller! Love this
Thank you!
Greetings from Italy 👍🏼
Very nice video
Next time ride up and down the river. There are no mountains, but plenty of rivers with lots of curves and interesting views and stops.
I'll definitely check that out next time!
Good to see you back man, love your videos! 🤙🏻
Thanks!!
“Oh no, I said it, sh**!” Lol 😂

One or two days is more than enough to gain a few kilos. It truly is America's #1 food city.
Come out to Northern California (San Francisco Bay Area) and let’s ride! I got a speed twin too! Tons of other Triumph riders out here too!
Riding in California is worthy of its own whole trip, and I hope to do it! 🤔Summer 2022....

Awesome! I'm sure I'll be back sooner or later
So if you lived in NO, a nice V-Strom 1000 would fit all the needs with cushy suspension, and effortless high speed touring and fairly sporty handling
Funny you should mention that. I've been taking notice of V-Strom 1000s recently. Might be the ADV for me if it comes time to get one.
I've ordered Akropovic for mine... nice deep sound.
Nice, I'm jealous

Looks are like our shithole roads in the uk!...Thanks for the suspension update fella...sounds like they're at least an improvement over stock

I just use disposable foamies. I should probably invest in a nice reusable pair though, maybe some custom ones.
BC predators.....put them on my 09 Thruxton and wow!
If you decat it then it will be louder, I ended up putting the original silencer pipes back as it was too loud and it now sounds awesome.
Nice, that's what I was worried about. I think a decat alone would be all the sound boost I need. I prefer to keep it neighborly if I can help it.
Towed it? Sucks to be you. Took mine from lake Itaska to Memphis before I ran out of vacation days to get home.
Great update. Are you planning to stop in the Dallas area on your way to Arizona?
Not this time, but I did stop briefly in Austin. It was my first time setting foot in Texas, definitely lots to be explored in the future.
Hi, Which bike is better? T120 or speed twin?

@@VanBlamm thanks bro for ur input.
9:22..... "I can report that as soon as she got on the back, it didn't sag any more............ and definetely felt stiffer".
Did the new bulb fix your high-beam blue light problem?
It did! I finally installed it while waiting for the snow to melt here in Denver.
@@VanBlamm
Did it solve the problem?
Yeah, everything works normally now. The old bulb had definitely gone bad. Thanks!
You should try some nutria while there!
Wow, that was an interesting google search! I'll put it on the list for next visit
Fummm ffa
That bike of yours is so ugly! ;-)
