you're definitely not the only one. this demo sounded so massive. I find the album "One" is so watered down in it's production it took all the balls out of the music. plus abisola on this kills dan
I remember when misha asked me to program drums for him 7 years ago (not that he needed it!) so no not really. Been around for just as long as bulb thanks :)
In my opinion still now the best version ever played of this song. BEST SINGER (Abisola Obasanya) BEST SOUND BEST VIDEO BEST DJENT BAND with this formation
Ovaryacting Right!? I am so grateful I clicked on the UA-cam link my buddy sent me on Facebook that day, everything changed after that titanic moment of discovery
I am a junky, I consider myself bound to TesseracT, but specially this particular song, heard it 3 years ago, still listening today like it the first time. I feel lost and complete at the same time, I feel empty in mere seconds untill that awesome riff that blows my mind. This is real music ladies and gents, this is what makes us get out of our beds with a good stamped smile in our faces. Thanks TesseracT.
Wow. This is amazing. Never has a band hooked me so quickly. This is the first song by them I've heard and it's already pushed me to buy the album. Reminds me of Meshuggah, Mastodon, and the Deftones (mostly for the lyrical style) all at the same time...Although I don't think comparing them to other bands does them justice.
Over 10 years ago I can remember listening to this amazing upload. Wow, the time has flown by and It's still epic. The vocals do sound like hell though. 😂
O.M.G i just dont think that anything can be anymore perfect than this I just Heard this today and i got completely stuned whith the perfection of it. It´s so mathematicly PERFECTED...
This is actually quite incredible. Fucking awesome, in fact. It has some very technically different parts, but they all flow into each other so well and it has a constant drive. Brilliant!
And if Pimander did upload a HD version he would be even a greater man :D This video is one of the best DIY ive seen in a long time and he really understood the spirit and the artistic elements in the song. Amazing job!
you guys seeing them live with pth aaaagggghhhh i am so jealous.. i saw these in nottingham, england last year, tiny room 60 people at the most, including the support acts watching.....fookin loud. vocalist had a throat infection so whole gig was instrumental .....awesome. must catch them again with the vocaist next time
Saw these guys with Protest the Hero and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster a while ago. Sound was messed up at the show so I thought I'd give them a shot, glad I did.
Just had a looksie (for those interesed), it appears it was the same vocalist on this track as on the EP...as the new guy (Dan Thompkins) was a replacement for their old one (Abisola Obasanya). I don't know whether this is just an early take or some demo before they settled on the new vocalist (pure speculation), but hey. They have one hell of a sound either way :) Thankyou for putting this up!
i about to listen to this song..ill report back when im done. ive never listened to tesseract before, but ive realized its time. ill be back in a moment @1:45 - o_O @2:10 - O_O @3:59 - my god. im learning more about this band as we speak, and whoever made the videoe posted some awesome DMT trip pictures lol im beginning to think that guitarists have finally just started playing music they think sounds good and groovy, rather than what we've been doing for the past 40 years
Agreed, first time I listened to this band was this video. After downloading the album from iTunes I was a bit disappointed though. The vocals themselves are alot better on the album, but the mix itself doesn't have the same power behind it that this mix does. Still an awesome song regardless.
@lookingalive A polyrhythm would be something like playing triplets on the hi-hats over a just a standard 4/4 pattern on the bass and snare. The most common poly I can think of would be tapping on say a desk like the following: RL together, L, R, L, RL together, and continue pattern while counting "Tri Pa Let." The left hand is the triplet and the right is just quarter notes. It's more of triplet modulation, I'm a drummer so that's how I came to know them.
1:14-1:18 is the new intro for the Scuzz music channel, been addicted and searching for it ever since I heard it. I can't believe it was TesseracT all along!
@AntonioPistola Well I found out a while ago that they haven't released an album yet, but they're supposed to release their first one this year, and it's called "One". I cannot wait for them to release it. That'll be a very happy day for me :) .
@Calibur43 theyre still in the same meter. they end and begin on the same beat, there is no overlapping of measures, which means thats not a polyrhythm. if that were true then all drum beats would be polyrythmic haha. they have to be either different rhythms in diff time sigs, or two completely different rythms that can still be in the same meter, but are acented on an diff pattern. such as doing triplets on a china, and quarters on the kick, but accenting the china on every 4th triplet.
I would LOVE to see this band growing and focusing on their spacey, more progressive side. when it comes to aggressivness they're still too much in the shadow of Meshuggah but when they get more atmospherical and melodic they're real essence really shines. imao. Amazing potential. A new frontier of space/math/metal :-) how funny these tags are
Go to google images, type in what you are looking for. Then click on options and select the size!. Small, medium, large or larger than. Hope this helps.
@ProppeShred07 Indeed, hell, I wasn't much of a Meshuggah fan, and neither do I like most poly-rhythmic stuff out there, but the ambiance that this band captures is just marvelous. The ambiance was quite captivating and suckered me right in - so did the clean vocals.
Am I the only one who prefers this version ?? It is mightier than the official version !
you're definitely not the only one. this demo sounded so massive. I find the album "One" is so watered down in it's production it took all the balls out of the music. plus abisola on this kills dan
I came here specifically because I prefer this track over the album version lmao
i feel the same i remember hearing this and getting goosebumps. i prefer it over the original any day
+Axel “melancholia24” V It was the first version I heard and is still the best version to me
This mix sounds better. The drums are wayyy punchier and the guitar parts are more aggressive than on the album.
I remember when misha asked me to program drums for him 7 years ago (not that he needed it!) so no not really. Been around for just as long as bulb thanks :)
I vividly remember hearing this song (and version) 11 years ago. My mind was blown away and instantly changed my taste in music. Masterpiece.
God, I am so lucky I actually saw them with Abi in 2008, absolutely one of best concert experiences ever :.-)
This is the Tesseract i loved!!!
GHEH
This video is certified youtube classic. I've come back countless times to listen to this demo version of the song and watch the deviantart slideshow.
Concealing fate is a fantastic group of tracks to drive at nighttime to.
Still to this day have no idea what Abi was singing
the real version
In my opinion still now the best version ever played of this song.
BEST SINGER (Abisola Obasanya)
BEST SOUND
BEST VIDEO
BEST DJENT BAND with this formation
Dat drums in this version are so much better than the original version
Can't get enough of this
This is where I first got into djent music, so for me, this is always the beginning
Same here! This song was not only the first time I listened to TesseracT but the first time I heard anything djent.
Ovaryacting right on!
Ovaryacting Right!? I am so grateful I clicked on the UA-cam link my buddy sent me on Facebook that day, everything changed after that titanic moment of discovery
Abisola Obasanya is the best!
15 years?! Thank you, friend, for uploading this.
YES! I love Dan, but Abi has such power behind his voice. Easily the best version of this song!
I am a junky, I consider myself bound to TesseracT, but specially this particular song, heard it 3 years ago, still listening today like it the first time. I feel lost and complete at the same time, I feel empty in mere seconds untill that awesome riff that blows my mind. God I Fell In Love When I Found These Guys, A Few Months Back, Perfection In A Band
this is more agressive then one version
They got it right the first time with this mix.
Was so disappointed to hear the full album. This hits so much harder. Should have kept this production style.
uploaded 8 years ago! man whaaaat
The artwork in this video is simply phenomenal.
And the music, a perfect counter-part.
If they kept this style and the singer, I'd still be listening to them today.
yeah, such a shame the sound turned so mellow
The old singer sounds hoorrible compared to Dan. His voice is so much more sonically dynamic.
the art w/ the bear trap is dope!
i got to meet these guys in Ottawa after a show Great show guys!
I watch this video religiously, and half the reason is for the pictures. Great job man
InteliDgence...talent...atmosphere...excellent work.it gave to me many presents:feelings
These photos are excellent. Fantastic job.
Still an absolute BANGER on the dancefloor holy smokes
I don't favorite many videos, I've added about 12 videos to my favorites in the entirety of my time at you tube, but this just deserves it!
oh dear lord, I still remember the first time I heard this song... made me super addicted to them, loyal fan ever since! TesseracT ftw!!!
Over 10 years ago I can remember listening to this amazing upload. Wow, the time has flown by and It's still epic. The vocals do sound like hell though. 😂
by far one of the best songs from tesseract
O.M.G i just dont think that anything can be anymore perfect than this
I just Heard this today and i got completely stuned whith the perfection of it.
It´s so mathematicly PERFECTED...
Chronomancy. I am overwhelmed with emotion every time I listen to this band. Absolutely brutiful.
This is actually quite incredible. Fucking awesome, in fact. It has some very technically different parts, but they all flow into each other so well and it has a constant drive. Brilliant!
Thank you TesseracT for introducing me into djent! My musical interests have gotten a new direction. I will always love your music
Absolutely love when I discover bands like this. Kind of sounds like The Interbeing, except more focused on ambiance.
I like the vocals. Its refreshing to hear clean vocals with this style of music.
Learning to play this now. The grooves are insane. Cannot wait for the album.
I am for sure buying these guy's album. It's these small band who produce amazing music that I want to give my money to.
A thousand times better than the Album version.
+Trystänn Van Herxath I couldn't agree more with you
And if Pimander did upload a HD version he would be even a greater man :D This video is one of the best DIY ive seen in a long time and he really understood the spirit and the artistic elements in the song. Amazing job!

7:00 is awesome, all the pics are
the song is so long, but it seems to be too short. it is that awesome, thank God they have more parts to this song
I don't imagine my life without this
Last summer I played with these guys, my band opened for them, really nice guys!
Saw these guys with Protest the Hero and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster a while ago. Sound was messed up at the show so I thought I'd give them a shot, glad I did.
Beautiful, just...just so beautiful.
They need to get this singer back, The vocals, and production sounded so godly here.
I found it couple of days ago too. And it really is awesome.
Mindblowing.
This band is amazing, and the video has lots of interesting images!
YES!! I don't think I've ever heard a song quite like this!
Great pictures, great song
same! i remember seeing them a handful of times years ago in a tiny venue in my hometown.
heard this and instantly loved it. very nice

Glad I started listening to this band.

@3:59 - my god. im learning more about this band as we speak, and whoever made the videoe posted some awesome DMT trip pictures lol im beginning to think that guitarists have finally just started playing music they think sounds good and groovy, rather than what we've been doing for the past 40 years

Still an awesome song regardless.
agreed, this is the best version of fate part 1 with the best singer (:
How the hell does a DEMO have better production quality than the official EP version?
6:53 I need this wallpaper badly.
Yojimbo711 it’s on deviant art. If you can’t find it DM me and I’ll try to image search it. I use it on my phone and computer.
I love their band name, reminds me of the book "A Wrinkle in Time"
When is this band going to explode in to being legendary like they diserve.
Ahh this takes me back..
Too bad the old singer left the band... He was really one unique vocalist for this kind of music and I totally miss him :.-(
BTBAM, AAL AND THIS BAND TONIGHT!!! man im excited
love the Fountain photo.

Oh my feeling that Djent down my spine, Forces me to Headbang!
Okay this is probably the greatest song i've ever heard. The part I love the most is from 3:58-4:52. That riff is just so catchy, I love it!
Im buying this album as soon as its released!
I'm glad the guitarist from fellsilent decided to join these guys he's got a pretty sick sound
1:14-1:18 is the new intro for the Scuzz music channel, been addicted and searching for it ever since I heard it. I can't believe it was TesseracT all along!

This is pretty good stuff right here!
The music is freaking awesome..
If anyone wants to know, the picture at 2:00 is Baphomet by Luke Brown.
amazing!
I'm digging the new trend of mixing Progressive metal with artistic space pictures.
nice pictures!!!
The sevenstring symphony of this world.
masterpiece
@UninsaneRocker you dont need VIP tickets for that, the bands are usually hanging out or selling merch at the end of their sets!
I would LOVE to see this band growing and focusing on their spacey, more progressive side. when it comes to aggressivness they're still too much in the shadow of Meshuggah but when they get more atmospherical and melodic they're real essence really shines. imao. And look where they are today! 😄👏🏼
beautiful, really easy to get lost in this song.
this version is still a hit 🤘

@nominein The Fountain. Some scenes can drag on but the ending, music and photography are spectacular.
