That jeti going out of Waquit bay near South Cape Beach is dynamite. On a boat, you can get to the longer jeti by docking on the small beach inside the bay. Great fishing on any tide
Roger that Sumi 👍🏻In June I will be running guided surfcasting trips. I only have a small number of spots available, and I will be letting all the members of myfishingcapecod.com/ know when registration for these trips opens up.
Hey Ryan! Really appreciate your info and videos. Can you please recommend the best tidal pool or river to fly fish for stripers in June? Thanks a lot!
There are many awesome rivers and estuaries to fish during June. A few include Hatches Harbor, Wellfleet Bay, Pleasant Bay, Stage Harbor, Popponesset, Waquoit, Barnstable Harbor, Scorton, and Old Harbor. During June there are stripers in most of Cape Cod's estuaries, bays, harbors and rivers. 🎣
Nice! I'm happy to hear he loves fishing. I do some guiding, but my main gig is running myfishingcapecod.com. We have lots of helpful information and members on the website and inside our forum. There are plenty of good spots where you can take your son. If you want to email me at ryan@myfishingcapecod.com we can talk further. Tight lines Paul! 🎣
Hey Manuel! I would recommend late May through June. March and is too early for surfcasting for stripers on Cape Cod. LMK if I can help with anything else. We also have a great community and lots more helpful info at our website, myfishingcapecod.com 🎣
There are lots of good campgrounds on Cape Cod, and you can even drive your camper out onto the beach at Sandy Neck. Feel free to contact me via my website myfishingcapecod.com and I can send you some links and more info. Tight lines Willie!
I'm honestly not much of a flounder fisherman Herbert, but if you are look for fluke, then the inlets on Cape Cod are good places to fish from shore during the summer. I have caught them during August by bouncing small curly tail grubs along the bottom. If you have a boat, then the Nantucket Shoals, Lucas Shoal and dozens upon dozens of other places throughout Buzzard's Bay, Vineyard Sound and Nantucket Sound are where you can find them. Hope that helps at least a little bit. Tight lines! 🎣
Great video Ryan .I'm from Gloucester heading down to cape cod for some scup and black fish from shore fishing never been down there looking for a spot i can fish for them any good place you can share plz
Thanks for watching! Catching keeper-size black sea bass and scup from shore will be more difficult from shore than from a boat, but not impossible. I try to refrain from posting spots here on UA-cam, but if you want to send me a message via the myfishingcapecod.com members' forum, then I would be happy to share some thoughts on locations etc.
There's lots of great beaches worth trying. West Dennis, Sandy Neck, and Craigville are a few good places to try, but there are many more of course. I would recommend going on "lousy" weather days. It's been far less busy when its raining, then on the sunny days.
They are definitely around. Cape Cod Bay and the cool waters off Chatham are two good places to find them during August, as is the canal. Check out myfishingcapecod.com for more helpful resources and people ✌🏻
The earliest ones usually show up in March, then it gets going better during April, and then finally the herring run in the canal gets going good during May.
Lots of different lures work for bluefish, including the ones you mention, but a few of the most popular are linked below 👍 www.themightyfish.com/products/acme-kastmaster-plain-treble-1-oz www.themightyfish.com/products/cotton-cordell-pencil-popper-6 www.themightyfish.com/products/sebile-magic-swimmer-6-1-2-ssk
Hi.. I will be visiting family in RI early July and would love to fish stripers at the canal. Are there many designated parking spots across the canal to park and fish close by? I know its at least 7 miles long.. would be tough to park on one end but have to walk so far to fish. Would be hell to carry a monster striper to your car. Lol
Thank you so much 💓 for saying where good fishing is. Because there is lots of Chana out there, they don't say they spots. Thanks 👍 👍 👍

What would be a good spot for me to land my first striper of the year that has good access but I can still distance away from other people?

Is fishing for stripers in the canal good during the summer? I’m looking to maybe plan a trip. Thanks.
Yes, it can be good anytime May thru October 🎣
My Fishing Cape Cod thanks
Hey Ryan, great vid. Where is a good place to go for bass and blues early to mid August? Are they still around at that time?
They are definitely around. Cape Cod Bay and the cool waters off Chatham are two good places to find them during August, as is the canal. Check out myfishingcapecod.com for more helpful resources and people ✌🏻
I live in Mashpee
Hey Ryan I’m just wondering about the herring and when they start to run around cape cod? I’m sure it’s all based on water temperature...
The earliest ones usually show up in March, then it gets going better during April, and then finally the herring run in the canal gets going good during May.
My Fishing Cape Cod you’re awesome man. Thanks.
Hey Ryan what do you use to cast for bluefish? Any sort of diamond jog or deadly dick or are there other lures that work?
