Probably the only guy on UA-cam that finds and fixes leaks. And installs new dryers. Bravo!

Thanks for the great video. I hope you have better luck with those CPS hoses than I did. Same hoses I put on my 550’s last week. New installation and failed nitrogen test. 2 of the 3 ball valves leak, 8 lbs. in 35 minutes. I have had them new in the package for probably a year. Beware. I was impressed as how clean that box was.

Great video. Thinking about getting an H10. Seems great for small leaks. What would be great before i pull the trigger is a video on its maintenance, cost and how often.

Dave, you make great videos, but to a trained eye, I picked up a ton more information in the little things you added while talking your thoughts as you went along, little stuff like that takes alot more energy to do while your filming and working at the same time. You cut and edited the process top notch. You packed this one up with a lot of learned method of process from your yrs of experience and I got your method on this paticular box. You have a alot of patience. I can watch this a couple more times and better nail down your process. I can see how deadly the H10 is, everyone wants convenience with the battery sniffers, but you can't match the H10 accuracy, trade off of not catching the minute leaks and a better breakdown result

Another awesome video by NorCal Dave. I wanted to recommend that you install slick locks on your van. Super easy to install and makes breaking into it almost impossible. They make a kit that comes with both locks. Back and slider door 👍🏼 highly recommend. Very good insurance for your tools. Those tweakers be out there ! lol

With all that damn regulations in Ca I’m stunned at all the shit work installations I see on your channel and your Ca counterpart Chris Stephen’s channel. How you keep your cool when you run your calls is to be commended as I would lose mine over some of the careless work done by others. Also if you can discuss how you go about checking for a leaking solenoid valve that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Dave!

Thank you for your video. I have questions for learning purposes. After the 26:30 what else did you do before you started brazing? Up to this point, you have recovered the refrigerant and went straight to brazing on the evaporator coil? Did you open any line that the fumes (from brazing) would come out? I.e., remove the Schrader valve, if any. Obviously, you did not let the OFN run through the lines while brazing ... (because you had to replace the evaporator coil later on anyway). Is it not a concern that the oil in the refrigerant line would ignite and blow fire through the same area you are welding?

May I ask you a question? I have a customer buffat Resturant ask me to fix ice cream display the Temperture only can go 4 degrees C. ( 39°F). I went n told him condenser coil is too dirty n much grease. I told him I need to chemical cleaning for $160 then to see if Temperture will coming down .
Next day I went the temperature still not coming down n sign glass is bubbling. I told customer the refrigerant looks low. I will add few refrigerant till bubbling stop for $250. bubbling stopped but still not coming. I told customer that I will need to change Txv n dryer . Customer refuse to pay me for cleaning n add refrigerant. He said unit is not fixed.
What did I do wrong? How to avoid this kind of situation?
      thank you

Vacation over I assume! Dust doesn't effect the leak detector? Before I retired I was talking with another tech. He wanted the part number for the cube guide stabilizer. He said that when they close the door on the ice bin too quickly it caused the cube guide to shift position. I retired before I could test his theory. Sounds possible. Anyone ????

Hope all coolers not design the same is too dangerous we have to push with force but cant see if someone is blocking the exit. No sensor warning of open door but hope that we do. Exp wide open doors always seeking for a new design why when we open sometimes we forget to hold the door and someone gets hit. Always viewing new ideas but dont want to see the same result at restaurant were more movement occurs.
