I still do no understand how searching for games will be once the expansion is available. Is it gonna be different search pools for people with and without expansion? Can one player without expansion play against one new civ?

from what I understand. you will be able to play against any of the new civs without the expansion. and the new expansion maps will be available to those without the expansion only in ranked as a "trial" or something.
