Three hours flew by with me jamming on this... I tore through most of my callus's and now my pinky is bleeding.... Good day if I do say so myself :) Thanks for the track!
Super nice groove with some Wes Montgomery style chops thrown in. Great departure from just hard stomping blues. Helps immensely with timing and rhythm. Much appreciated.
This is great, I just lost the last hour or so playing against it with Native American flutes in Am. I probably wetted out every flute in that key I own 3 or 4 times over, had a great time. Thanks for sharing!
I don't know what it is about this key, but for some reason I just know where the sweet spots on the neck are, making it a lot of fun to riff and play octaves over. God bless Wes M - guy was a true American legend and pure genius!
Easy Jazz Blues backing track in A minor! THIS was Day 1 of JAZZ WEEK... the track for Day 3 is coming in less than 5 hours....... #jazzblues #backingtrack #jazzguitar #jamming #jazzplayalong #minorblues #QuistJam
Lots of fun jamming to this using the Korg M1 vst a midi keyboard. My personal favorite patch to use with these kinds of tracks are the Shakuhachi/Flute patches.
Love this one plus 13 minutes of using the whole fretboard and being creative. Jazz Blues is certainly the right name. Amazing to play on my 1954 LP Black Beauty. You’re an incredible guitarist.
I am new to this and very impressed with the sounds I hear! I usually just play alone, especially since the pandemic! I should start trying this! I am actually enjoying listening to the musician or musicians playing on this track! Sounds so good!
This is awesome! Thank you so much! I am transposing the scales and progression for Bb instruments right now and then I'm going to get to work on my sax and clarinet!
Very nice man! I'd really love to hear more of you jamming in the beginning of videos. It's great inspiration and also a way for me to learn new cool licks and techniques ;)
That organ... OOOOHHH, SO SWEET! Brings out the track more, also I can count on Quist for a (solo) jam session. these tracks sound SO PRO, man... really they do, unlike some tracks I've heard on here.
I've downloaded your tracks for personal use only, Sorry... its just your tracks are so clean sounding and top quality, I would hate to keep hitting the replay button and I can have a repeat one and loading youtube up EVERYTIME I wanna rip one of your tracks. I make my own instrumentals and play the keyboard, I don't even know how the play the guitar anyways, I know how to emulate a guitar on the keys... You're the best, man... I appreciate your skills. ONE MORE THING, How do you make The backing tracks? Drums, Keyboards, Percussion, you do all of it yourself?? if so, Wow! REQUEST: Can you make a piano boogie-blues track in Eb Major? (forgot the name of it.)
quits jam I just love your jazzy tracks. been using combination of e phyrigian and am pentatonic/c major on this. gets a great sound. love using the e phyrigian
Good stuff, bro. Love your tracks, your lead in solos are sweet. This one is a nice change up, and a challenge for an old blues rock guy like myself. Peace!
Excelente, me gusto mucho la base y tambien tus frases de la introduccion del video, en especial esa frase disminuida sobre E7 me puse a transcribirla. Gracias
I love your backing tracks but I am a bass player. Trying to learn what I can from them. Unfortunately there isn't much help for me learning the walking bass lines to this jazz blues piece. Gotta work out the hard way I guess. I enjoy all your tracks. Keep up the great work.
Hi - I actually just posted the TAB for the bass line of one of my jazz blues tracks on www.patreon.com/quistjam - it was requested by a Patreon supporter.. I'm gonna start sharing more bass tabs on there as they seem to get a lot of requests. Happy jamming!
Next to Joe Bonamassa this guy here has to be one of the most greatest guitar players in the whole world not only can he play Blues but he plays Jazz also and that is a rare combination to find any guitar player that plays Blues so good like this Guy does, and yet can turn around and play jazz and as far as I'm concerned I've never heard a better jazz player on all of UA-cam and I truly mean that and as far as the blues this guy here micro naino splits apart every Blues lick and he is so full with every little part of the Blues lick that he plays and it makes each lick sound so full I mean every lick that he plays is just so, how can I put it , instead of just a bam bam bam it's it's I don't know how to say it,, he's just so full with his licks each lick is so pronounced with so many micro segments and and its full of detai,, l I mean anybody that listens to this guy and wants to be truthful about it , you've got to conclude of everybody that you'll ever hear on UA-cam , you're going to have to get up very early in the morning to get over this guy here, I mean to play blues and jazz also to the nth degree like he does , I mean I was amazed when I heard him play , Joe Bonamassa will probably always be my number one when it comes to blues and I've seen Joe be able to take his guitar and play left-handed as well as right-handed like everything he plays right-handed he can play left handed too and that is a rare talent to have also but now when it comes to have full defining licks of the Blues, this guy here with quistjam he is so full with his blues and jazz I mean I don't know if I can think of a better way to put it, i'll come back later and make another comment but I mean of all the people I've seen on UA-cam and I don't know this guy personally he's not asking me to do this but I mean this guy is really really good I mean really really good and believe me I listen to a lot of blues guitarist on UA-cam a lot of them but this guy here I mean he'll bring you places with the blues and jazz that you won't hear nobody else take you to , I'm so glad to see that God has blessed somebody with Talent like this, this is just amazing, just amazing , and I'm thankful he's sharing his tracks with us.
Loved your intro ideas - what do you clean your fretboard with, whipped cream cheese? It sounds so smooth. Thanks for another incredible track to jam along to.

I've been playing E minor over the A minor. Also try substituting B minor for the A minor. A little tension...goes a long way.
You sound like a hip dude.
Not so sure about the E min but I like the B min a lot. Thanks for the tip.
Yeah that substitution style of playing is for advanced, jazz minded musicians.
