I saw this video 5 years ago, and it totally shifted my perspective on marketing. Last month, I had the chance to do a photo shoot with Thom Hill- founder of Iron and Resin. It’s crazy how life can come full circle sometimes.

I was riding bikes back in 1963, BSA Super Rocket 1959,, and we just called ourselves bikers, or rockers, and where I came from, Worcester, people called us greaser , 'cos we always had greasy hands from working on our bikes. If it aint a British bike, it aint shit.
Looks to me that the cafe racer has become a fashion accessory for non biker types to try and become accepted as real bikers / motorcyclists.maybe wrong but thats how i see it.
Mark Sainsbury Some people think you have meet a certain criteria to be a considered 'real' biker, otherwise you're not somehow 'worthy' (i know a couple of people like this).Ive never really understood that. I think anyone who likes bikes is cool because they share the same interest as me. Regardless of what or how much they ride. Just my opinion..

It doesn't really matter why a person wants to get into motorcycling, I just love seeing the younger generation getting involved even if it starts off as a fashion accessory in some cases. Back in the 70's all my bikes were cafe racers, one still is. Whatever their motivation, they will soon discover the international brotherhood/sisterhood of cafe racers all looking out for each other and all having a fantastic time of it and making friends for life. I was there in the beginning, I know I am right. Best wishes to all my cafe racer friends around the world.
