It is a struggle to get the first note than the next few are easy once you get it but the higher the harder but after a while it gets easy but it is something to work on to get better I'm in high school with 3 years of middle school band experience and still have a hard time with the upper register (above the staff) and I'm trying to learn this and that's my problem I was trying a high version of the song so that is where I got the upper register from

question...i played Trumpet for 8 years in middle and high school and never once was inclined to adjust my slide while i was playing. This is the first time i've seen it. Why do you adjust your slide when you play the low e and below?
The slide is adjusted on notes that are slightly above their pitch. The slide near The third valve only changes the pitch, when you're using the 3 valve. Usually you use the slide on low g, c# and d.
You make it look easy but playing the trumpet so well requires a lot of talent.
