Thanks for the video, I have the Tamar in the more stealthy green. As you demonstrated they are simple to put up. However I think you missed mentioning two of the great benefits of this tent, the first is that being outer pitch first if means that when it is raining the inner tent remains dry. The second is that it is more or less free-standing once polls are in, meaning that if you want to change the position when pitching it is fairly easy. Being able to take the tent down as one is quicker and it is also faster to put up. I never disconnect my inner. You mentioned that it is fairly heavy at 2.7 kg and there is no arguing with this, however, the Tamar does us much in the way of mesh whilst this makes it heavier it also makes it warmer when the weather is colder or windy..

This was the tent I was looking at when I decided to try camping for the first time in 20 years. However, I ended up going with the Eurohike Gaia IV, because I wanted the increased head room, and vestibule. Only 2 camps, so too soon to tell if I made a good decision, as I chose my weather wisely. (It was twice the money than the Tamar 2). I share my tent with two Border Collies, so for my next camp I'll use a double air mattress, as I either wake up crushed with a dog on top of me, or get woken up by a dog carefully rearranging my legs in order to get space on the mattress.
I leave the inner connected. Saves effort!
