Out of the water they’re going to be nice and clean. Most of these were found on the base clay after 4 or days at the same water level. Some I picked up And cleaned off because I was picking up small pieces of flint . I know it’s hard for some people to believe but I’m not here to do any but share my hobby with like minded people who want to learn.
Now I’m not sure what the larger black point is made out of im going to have to check into that a little more. I’ve found a couple points here recently made from that.
@@michaelwhiteside1011 , my buddy hunts corn fields close to the Ohio River every time the farmers plow their fields , He has 5 gallon buckets full of them .
@@michaelwhiteside1011 , he gives me the broken Arrowheads and I chip them back into a complete one again and they look just as good as his , I learned how to chip Arrowheads over 20 years ago , I just chiped a huge one about 2 weeks ago , and just happened to see this video today , I didn't know people were still hunting them , years ago nobody cared about them , I threw a bag of them in my building and haven't seen them in years .
I wonder that as well. I talked with an ole man about 10 years ago who hunted in the seventies and he said he found so much more then. Then what is found today.
Really awesome
Awesome saves, man 🔥!!

Well trained eyes

It's funny how all the points he picks up are so nice and clean. Huh

Sorry about the emoji, my phone was jacking up. Great finds. What material was the jack reefs? I never find that on the Ohio river.
Ste. Genevieve Chert maybe or fort Payne I’d guess. It’s a glossy material I find it a lot up here.
@@RiverRatArtifacts i hunt with Bluegrass Relics and we find mostly a brown chert, sometimes heat treated which turns in red, and hornstone.

I have been hunting since 1985 and I wonder how many points have been found since then and how many more will be found in the years to come.
