Man, oh man! I'm only 3mins in and that multi-colored arrow head is one of the Coolest things I've ever seen!! Wow, awesome stuff and awesome channel. Thanks, man!!!
The first one was a regular turtle back. That can be either easy or impossible to remove during manufacture. Looks like the old boy couldn't get it thin down
My guess is they had a very prominent campsite here. I’ve found two good mortars in this area within the last year which makes me believe they spent a lot of time in this particular area of the river.
@@RiverRatArtifacts thanks! I have only found one point in my 74 years and it was in a hill across the creek from a spring and about a mile upstream from where several Indian mounds once stood. I sold that land 26 years ago. I should have spent more time in the creek!
@@dananderson128 high points like that are ideal for campsites they had ideal views for protection from predators and would stay dry when it rained. High points in a field are usually the first place I would look.
I was going to ask but your find answered my question I guess a barge going by is a good thing sort of like a giant washing machine maybe covering a few but exposing others
@@RiverRatArtifacts thanks for the reply Colorado native here now dont laugh but you know how a lot of points lose that luster when they dry try liquid floor wax and a light buffing you'll be suprised and of course it does wash off if you want here in Colorado most finds are dry and before putting them in the case I used to wipe some oil off my forehead and shine them that way till I tried the wax on a whim and it totally preserves that wet look bringing out the colors and the flaking some purists will of course have somthing negative to say but I consider it a tribute to the maker
I’ve watched and watched this over and over slowed down to the slowest speed and I don’t see anything. Now a lot of people have said the same thing I just don’t see it. But I was excited and had already spotted that third point just a few feet away so I could have missed it.
There isnt any obsidian there. Most dark colored flint along the ohio river is either Ft Payne or Hornstone. That could possibly be Upper Mercer Chert there.
the rocks look purposely placed. you may be on a newly exposed habitation site, still insitu. you really should report that site to the authorities. anonymously, after checking really well
My friend, that was a super marathon of beautiful finds. Congratulations. BLESSINGS.
Thank you! We finally got some rain to move the river around some.

That was alot of great finds brother, congrats
This is on my list of things to find next! Cool channel :) - just subbed!
That's a great site you've got there Michael.
Nice video man! Almost look like they could be Hopewell related. Looking forward to what else you find from there!
That black sand is evidence of a big fire, campfire, with fire cracked rocks around it...
Nice pieces.
Awesome finds, good luck on your future hunts 👊 😎
Thanks! You too!
Love em man ! Great job
Nice video bud!! You missed a few! Go back with a shovel and try to recover them!
3:03 that is sweeeet!
Outstanding finds.

Beautiful finds. How do you explain finding so many in the same close vicinity??

Exactly also summer time with all the boat traffic helps when you don’t have much rain

At 6:22 look behind on the beach as he is showing the two points. It looks like there is another just popping out of the sand. Hmmm??
What are you saying? You ever found anything other than a broken hand axe?
I see it too haha. Almost looks like abrokenntrade pipe above it if you look closely but only he will know.
So can you sell these ? I mean im interested in starting to hunt for arrow heads
That like grey one you found is that not another arrow behind ur hand it looks like a base

Live action! Turtleman
When you picked up the 2 together you missed one right in front of you its in the video with a big sandy but
Not gonna lie brother. I thought same thing as the others.
Man I just don’t see it.
You missed one for sure
I don't believe you. Obsidian? Ha!

I cringe every time you clank the points together
Yeah I know I need to get better about separating them and not doing that.
