Wow! If that is the bad time of year to hunt , the good time of year must be loaded!! That celt is killer!! I want to find a celt so bad! They are hard to find here in Sc. That shaft scraper is awesome too!
@@AncientAdventures I say that it’s a bad time mainly because the water is so low everything is bunched up in the rock bars hence why mostly everything is field grade in this spot. The normal level of the river is 3 to 6 feet higher and that line holds more artifacts . I’ve been lucky to find a couple celts between last year and this year but everyone I have found I found by flipping stones. Pure luck in an artifact rich area honestly.
@RiverRatArtifacts I too have made some great finds , by moving stuff. Lol . Pretty kool! Our river just got up to 17.2 FEET! It was neck deep in our river house. Worse flooding since 1942. Won't be diving for awhile here.
Very nice saves as usual.. bro that piece you say is broken, that’s an old shaft scraper!! Like really old!!! They are very rare to find let alone not broken!!! A guy I know that finds them found 3 this summer again super rare, he’s finding them with archaic points up to 9,000 years old….
Nice assortment. I can't believe you're finding anything right now with the conditions out there. That nice white point is shaped like a Terminal Archaic Barbed piece, but the flaking and serrations make me think it may be a Kirk stemmed. I'd have to see it in person, there are couple other things it could be, but it looks more like a Kirk than anything else in the video. I agree that whatever it is it was probably used a stemmed dart point.
The only reason I’m finding anything is this place has a large rock bar at the lower level on this site that collects stuff. Some of my other sites need the water to come up.

That first one is a knife blade, it's curved like one for sure. I like those.
Nice drill and other stuff too! First one is not a Tablerock, looks more like a Karnak or McWhinney or other similar Late Archaic stemmed piece. The darker one looks more like a Tablerock just by its shape, but I think it is probably also something else, probably a Late Archaic or Early Woodland piece of some type. The Tablerocks are usually thinner with a more crisply defined base and basal grinding. Still dang nice big points even if they aren't Tablerocks.

I wish I could figure out your chert types over there a little better, some of that stuff really stumps me. I'm glad you are finding some nice things. My son Jacob will be in town next week, so I'll be out hunting whether conditions are good or not. I hope to get over there and run into you and Nick sometime. Good luck on the river!
I genuinely want to learn and like I said I truly value your opinion/ input I get stuck on the common types and you definitely know more about the local stuff. Hopefully conditions are going to be better. we definitely have got a lot of rain and have more coming so it will be hit or miss for a little while.

Darn Brother you found a pile of points and tools. I wish i was located near the Ohio river. I have to travel 1 1/2 hours to the nearest river in my state that has artifacts similar to the Great Ohio.

I about died when I saw that Honey Locust thorn...I thought you had a museum-grade drill. Glad you are finding some stuff, I have pretty well stopped trying the past month or so between being busy with other things and the poor hunting conditions.

Two questions: I'm an EXTREMELY NEW amateur hunter, in Kentucky, on the Ohio river...[1.] Is this cache all in ONE day? [2.] Is it legal for me to just walk up & down the riverbank hunting?
@@Matthew...1979 this particular video I found the cache in one day. Legally you can walk along the water to the high water mark along the river. But I like to obtain permission from the landowner.

Man I’ve looked at it seen some similar types but nothing that I can definitely say yeah that’s it. But pentagonal is on the list for sure.

It definitely helps living on the river. I can see the what the water is doing and if it will leave a layer of rock or get silted in. But every time I think I got it worked out it throws a curve ball.
Living on the river would make it easier to make more trips. I’m an hour from the Ohio River, so I can’t make trips as often as I would like to. I still do alright though.
