Mohit Chauhan Sir said in one interview that he was offered to recreate a Kishore Kumar song. He said no by telling why he should do such blasphemy. These original composers spend lots of time with lyricists and orchestra in making one song and for many years now T-Series are spoiling their compositions in the name of recreations by using little to no effort.
Yeah it's same as using your position in wrong way,they have rights so they are exploiting our emotions by making such unnecessary remakes.

I'm not convinced that Amit Trivedi was actually involved in this remake. I think they have just given him composition credits. According to the YT description, the production was done by Sunny MR & Zafar Ansari who are usually amazing but I think their scope was limited here. Jab voice casting itni kharab hai to music producers kya hi kar sakte hain.

Fun fact - it's an original composition by Amit Trivedi, which was picked by the various groups in Rajasthan and it eventually became a folk song (Source: Amit Trivedi himself told us during his Jaipur concert).
It's wonderful how a song in the coke studio was embraced by various folk music groups in Rajasthan and in the rest of the country as well. They would add their own touch to it, improvise and make it their own. Although there's one part which I always see the groups replicate - the khartaal part, alomg with which Darshan Doshi and Sanket Athale are playing the accents.

Listen. I'm Sri Lankan and I genuinely adore Yohani. I'm really proud of her. But I also LOVE the Chaudhary track (The Coke Studio one with Amit Trivedi and Mame Khan). When I heard she was going to sing in a remake my heart sank and when I heard it, I died a little inside. She's good at modern fusions and making things her own---some things should be left alone because it cannot be 'yours' you know? Classical music is not her thing and she should just stick to what she knows or actually get trained. As a Sri Lankan, I hated that she took this on without the skill needed for classical music.

First of all Thank you for this video. When you uploaded a story on Instagram I immediately replied to that requesting for a video because I couldn't tolerate this remake. TBH I am not a person who bitching about every remake. There are some good remakes even from Tanishq Bagchi. So I thought about same about this because of Amit Trivedi sir. But I shocked after I heard this. Even I felt the remake has done by someone else but they put Amit sir's name just to avoid hate. Because still this is a surprise to me that Amit sir have remaked this.
And about singing Jubin's voice was ok. He is giving same expression in every song. So he failed to give that Rajasthani vibe but at least he did something good. But Yohani just ruined the whole thing. she sounds like a child version of Alexa. And the sad part was that they used Mame Khan ji like a cameo. He was a one of main reason that I loved original Chaudhary. I felt really bad for him because I thought most part of the would be sung by him.
