I’m a residential carpenter and love love this set up. I haven’t pulled the trigger on a van but this is awesome. You did a great job setting it up. Well done
Epic 🤯 For the amount of storage space, the width between the 2 sides is amazing: so much cargo area! The contouring of every shelf to the profile is something usually only an owner/builder would take the time to do... and the pic of underfloor storage (7:40) is the best layout I've seen. The attention to detail throughout this entire build is mind-blowingly-impressive. 👍👍
Excellent video and excellent idea, very good work, I have one of those vans, would it be possible to have the graphic designs that you made to base me on them?
That’s an amazing set up brother. I’m trying to figure out what to do with mine. I got 2021 high roof extended cargo van. I do renovations as well and with that I have way to much of different tools
love the slideout storage in back. mine then doubles as a compound miter saw setup when temp plywood is added & supported by folddown adjustable telescoping legs on end (much like adjustable shower rod
This set up is amazing. So much storage yet impressively organized. I have a question though. In terms of weight, how does it compare to metal racks? I've heard it is way heavier than metal and it's too much weight even before storing all your tools.
Beautiful truck! Love the inside storage cabinets. The only thing is the floor needs rubber on it. After a few jobs walking in and out of the truck after rain/snow/mud that wood gonna get destroyed.
Great job. You guys should look into helping the van life market. The need for well designed storage is exactly the same. I’m building out a Ford e350 as a camper. I would buy a set of plans if you had em.
@@BuzzElectricLlc Hello Buzz, Where do you live? Maybe you can email me at Frankmali17@yahoo.com so we can discuss some details. The cost would be comparable or a bit less, to what the factory companies charge. Of course the floor, or other modules would be customized to your needs.
Obviously, whoever thumbs down this, has no job and lives in mommy’s basement and is a loser ..and plays hello kitty all day and isn’t a real man… because a real man appreciates this immensely
Thanks for the support. Each vehicle can be used and modified for the intended purposes of the owner.. This is an investment that will keep tools and supplies safe and well organized... making the craftsman more effective and efficient.
I got a idea that you could add to your van , get rid of them 4 power cords and replace them with 4 retractable power cord reels 60 foot 12/3 guage. Mount each retractable cord reel onto a portable base so you can use it anywhere. You could run them all inline for a total of 240 feet length Also add a power strip outlet to the end with like at least 6 outlets
I'd buy this as a kit i.e. precut pieces, if it were sold and spend a weekend screwing it together. like a beautiful organization idea kit but heavy duty for my transit!
I love everything it is a very nice shelving system i just wish that the space in the middle instead of 41 would be 48 so you can fit plywood or drywall
Thank you. Is there a video showing the initial steps and methods of how to best attach the shelving units to the van itself? I have a ‘23 Ford Transit medium roof extended version and would love a better understanding of attachment. BTW I’m actually picking up my van tomorrow and very excited to replace and upgrade my old workhorse.
What if lengths of wood or other things get stuck under the floor shoots? Don't you think it would be good to have hinged doors further inside the van to assist in retrieving any trapped timber or other? I would definitely have a raised floor but I think it needs to be accessible in the event of a problem. The long drawers are a great idea.
There actually is a solution we came up with.. that would allow you to pull all contents out.. in case something got lost in the tunnels... and it doesn't require a "trap door" or anything. In this case.. we are going to keep the details to ourselves...
I like it nice , I run to this when I tried to find locksmith van shelving, the only thing I’m concerning is weight, how much weight all these add to the car , I like my van to be as light as possible
My only comments would be using the inside of the back doors for convenient storage and using the slide outs to convert into an instant mobile workshop.
I'm looking to get one with shelfs and a spot for a composting toilet, converted left hand drive to right hand drive so I can deliver mail and packages as a rural carrier.
Looks good ! I have upfit promaster. I posted commemt other place, Just a guestion about other bigger items. I see you can carry some 1x2,3,4 pine, 2x4 stud & p.t.. Now .. ur cut 1\2", 3\8" drywall, 3\4"& 1\2" ply? Lastly where is the dog and drop cloth compartment?
I can fit in tire sheets of 4x8 drywall and plywood no problem. There are some recesses in the sheet metal that I used to store the tarps and drop cloths. The compartments below the floor accommodate up to 100 in long pieces of two being or wood or things up to five inches in diameter
The bottom storage, 91 inches and 69 inches, we can change 91 inches to all the way up to the partition , so we can carry 10 foot stuff like metal pipe, PVC pipe, copper pipe or thread rods ? Still we can make storage at a side door.?
The Floor Storage partitions on the drivers side could be adjusted to be up to approximately 126" long... but it would make the side door storage shorter. It would still work well for many people. The bottom floor design is somewhat flexible during the planning stages.
This is great. I outfited my trailer, then I did a few for other trades. But only a few. Never figured out how to market this unique ability to the right people. I set everything I make for the most part to be modular. Needs change. I really loved doing it. I’d build everything off sight and come to them and do the install. Once on their job sight. I wanted to do vans for the challenge and when I saw all that unused space behind those metal space wasters, I knew I could do better for their needs. Once I built some interlocking small totes for an electrician’s supply truck. Put his logos under the finish. That was a fun project. How have you marketed yourself for this?
I have a 3.5L turbo V6 in my Transit Van ... and I do pull a pretty large trailer. I use my judgement on how hard and fast I want to run, based on the load and distance.
@@Frankmali17 thanks. I figured they can haul a decent load around town. Probably still use the truck for longer hauls. Helpful to know someone has had no issues
Nice, but you should put a small lip so nothing can slide out. I see you use bungie chords to keep things inside the space, but I would also put a lip may be a 3/16 lip at the edge of all your open space holes.
Yes... as a matter of fact, many shelves have a 1/4" lip... but some were selected to have bungees... as that was more effective for those items. It is a matter of what was selected for what area.
Do you sell these setups? Can you ship the vertical parts? I like that yours follow the curve of the van. I could do it; but it would take me longer than I’d like.
one could use the inside roof to store some batteries in holders(maybe even hook up a speed charger using a power inverter to change the car 12 volts into 230 volts), if such person has manny battery powered tools, it certainly would make even more use of space, of course at thte cost of some headroom
While not covered in this video... there is an extra battery... circuit protection.. and a 5000w inverter installed in such a van. Also.. there is some wiring run.. and an outlet on the inside.. as well as a waterproof outlet on the underside near the back.

Can I buy those shelves? I could build it, but, my schedule is tight and no time to do myself? I have a 4-6 months wait for my transit to be delivered to me. Please, let me know if I can just order that same set up.
One of the best storage layouts inside a work van I have ever seen!
