I applaud you for having a pro-show clean trailer. Heck, you could advertise yourself just based on how clean the trailer is -- a contractor who cares about cleanliness & safety is like a God-send!
Great Job!!! It's always a working process. I tip my cap because trying to find the time to do build out with work schedule and family is tough! Good luck!
Greetings from South Africa. Really appreciate the tour of your beautifully organized trailer. If your trailer looks like this I can't wait to see more of your videos. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you for reviewing your tool trailer. Very thoughtful arrangement of shelves and a large assortment of tools, there is a work table and very good lighting. Great trailer.
You're hearing comment, I thought that the same when I was 20, now I'm 32 and I push on anyone I work with especially younger to wear ear protection. It's not a ego issue, it's a fact that'll your regret it in a few years.
I have custom built 6'x10' x 7' height. Its the largest I can have to drive through the slim city streets of West Palm Beach. The streets are so narrow here is very typical to have about 2 inches of space between the outside tire of my trailer tire and someone's Ferrari. I'm laughing because more or less I built mine similar to yours. Even the same tools are in the same drawers. Weird lol. The only difference is I put all of my clamps, lights, and sawhorses in the v nose and saws in the back. Also I splurged and bought the heavy duty push to active RV drawer sliders and spoiler alert... they are trash. They are constantly opening. Having a good old friction fit drawer is the superior build. Nice trailer. Andy
Nice job there, I can tell by the way you chose to do your tool and miscellaneous Supply layout that this is not finished or steal a project in the making. I must say you are off to a damn good start with your layout plan. Good things never stay the same they’re always changing. Please keep the videos coming
I like the way u are using the handle on the power drill and so . using the holder that comes with the tool I seen other people making jigs to hold them but the way u are using it is the best way
I have a 15 ' high box truck, I really enjoyed looking at your set-up and got some ideas. Just took all my stuff out last month and will use some of you ideas. Thanks
Good sir, thank you ! Everything looks perfect, i was looking for ideas to build some shelves for my work triler and your video its very apreciated! God bless you!
@@langtrybuilt3899 It means you took your hand and applied force on the objects you were speaking about, within the trailer. Not sure what isn't clear. Regardless, excellent trailer build and thank you for sharing.
Very nice trailer love the 7 ‘ ceilings. I have 3 knack piano boxes in mine on casters and can open them completely. Can’t do that with a 6.5 tall trailer
Nice and organized. Biggest problem is now you can't haul anything in it. My 16' 8x8 trailer can fit a couple pallets loaded with a forklift, or I can fit up to 20 lengths of trim, or an entire kitchen remodel and quickly emptied to haul whatever I can fit in it. My toolboxes and shelves full of tools do not stop any hauling, only slightly diminish the payload
@@langtrybuilt3899 I'm sure you do but you can't haul a dozen or so cabinets at the same time. Last kitchen remodel I did caused me to carry a couple dozen cabinets. Last time I had to haul drywall, I had 40+ sheets.
@@langtrybuilt3899 I have had jobs that required me to do both because it is not always possible to get delivery. Try getting all of your materials in Key West for example. I worked there twice last year and had to bring some of my materials.
Thanks for some great ideas. Just about to do a trailer build out. I love the integrated mechanics tool box. Definitely stealing that idea to replace bins with small hand tools. Would you share what the box is? I’m shopping now and really like the size of the one you used.
Beautiful. The ultimate dream tool truck. I see you must be in construction. You are winner. I bet your construction work is just as prefect. I try to do everything my self, but when I hire contractors, the first thing that I want to see how they treat their tools. I sent people away for severely tangled up reciprocating saw cord and for a plumber for rusty tools in rusty tool box. I am just a regular guy, but if my tools are better than the contractors then something is off.
Did you ever consider that the contractors tools may not be as nice as yours because we use them everyday while yours stay looking new because they collect dust in your garage? 🤔 Tools are made to get beat up. Using them 8-10 hours a day guarantees they will not look pretty for long. You did those guys a favor by not hiring them…no one likes working for people that judge before the job is finished!
@@johnnymac6178 Did you ever consider that there may be MANY people, who live their lives to standards higher than yours? I have been working as a mechanic for over 40 years and I never let down my standards. And yes, I know from experience that work from those, who treat their tools like crap, isn’t worth anything, regardless of how loud mouth full of themselves they are. It is best to “do them a favor” and send them away politely. So you are just proving my point.
Thanks for a great video. You have given me a lot of great ideas. I love your organization. I also love to hear the lessons learned parts, i.e. this how we changed things because.... You guys have a new Subscriber, look forward to the next Vid
At 8:18 you started talking about the Milwaukee impact driver I agree they are good but try a makita impact like a xdt 16 makita you wont go back to yellow or red
Wish I could do this but I’ve gotta load 10-30 windows at a time. Definitely stealing the battery charging idea. Setting it up with solar panels though.
Fantastic build. But drawers are so tall (deep) with alot of wasted space. tool box on right side too would be better them drawers with what I saw in there. That's my 2 cents.
New subscriber. I own lots of Dewalt tools. However I'm a huge fan of Makita. Therefore Makita dominates my tool inventory. I work out of a 2012 Chevy van. Ladder racks on top. A big mess inside. Age 62 and still going at it.
This is a great setup! I just bought a trailer and first thing I want an electrical setup like that. I'm a plumber but pretty handy outside of a panel and high voltage, what is the outside male plug called? Super fancy love it.
@@langtrybuilt3899 I'm still watching the video. I'm going to run to town I don't want to wait on Amazon lol. The toolbox is a great addition! I'm not much of a carpenter but your video has set things in motion, and I appreciate it!1
Hey there, my question is, how did you get the batteries mounted on your shelving? Are they slotted or railing for the batteries to lock in place? That's a nifty idea if you dont mind sharing that idea? Thanks.
Have you tried the Festool guide rails with the DeWALT track saw? I think the Festool HKC is also compatible with the regular non spring loaded guide rails too. Might be worth looking into. The Makita/Milwaukee/Triton rails look very similar to the Festool but I have not tested them with the DeWALT saw. I have only tested Festool branded rails.
First thing no coffee maker. No fridge No generator No lights. This showcase Dewalt but not a work trailer. You forgot a big oversize Dewalt sign on the trailer.
I'm a contractor as well and looking to build out a new trailer. I like the organization of the trailer. However, the issue I have with your build is there are a bunch of loose tools in drawers and shelves, so when you need to take them from the trailer up to the project, do your guys just grab armfuls of tools and carry them up to the house/building? I'm thinking of racking numerous totes/bins/bags with groups of the tools I need for a given task so I'm not making 27 trips to the trailer on each one. Do you have a thought on this?
This works for us, May not work for you. It makes no sense to me to drag in a bunch of totes and tools that are not needed for said project. It’s real easy in the morning for each guy to grab an impact a drill a box of fasteners on there way in . Regardless you can never bring everything you need at once. You will always need to make trips to the trailer.
Would Love to see the build process on this trailer. We just got a new trailer and are looking for good ideas. I’ve seen Ron Paulk’s but he dose so much more than I plan on doing. I would like to keep it slim and simple, which is why I like your set up. Secondly, your husky toolbox, dose it still have the wheels or is it sitting on a low shelf. Good video man thanks.
I can send photos if you need them. Yes Ron Paulks stuff is nice, But he has to much time in his hands!LoL . My build was quick and basic. Just too get it in the job asap. I added a lot as we were using it… I removed the castors from tool box. And build on a curb. I would look at a different tool box . If you forget too lock the drawers with the key. They all open up, and shit ends up everywhere. It’s a great box if you can remember to lock it all the time.
Sorry, but I do not, that exterior plug on the trailer I got off of Amazon. It's just a male 110 plug as far as the lights and the plugs. My electrician did all that.
