I love that you keep your "mistakes" in your videos! We all make them, and most of the time they don't affect the quilt overall. I really like how the dense quilting inside the square makes the curves pop. Great video!
Love this tutorial, I saved it until I was experienced enough to try it myself. Also I certainly don't mind you making the odd mistake as it helps to see the solution you have for that mistake. Like knowing to stitch a couple of extra stitches when you have made a mistake, so that when you unpick those stitches later, there will be no unraveling of the stitches you wish to keep. So thank you for that, I have used the tip on the 100+ times I have made a mistake. It slows me to go on, rather than feeling I have to stop and fix something immediately.
Amy, I enjoy watching your videos and how calmly you describe everything. Orange peel was one of the first designs that I FMQ but it interesting to see the spiral fill is so uniform. Fun to see you work...

I typically use an 80/20 blend. Currently I use Quilter's Dream 80/20 blend, though I couldn't say for sure what's in the quilting in this video. All the dense stitching makes to more open areas really pop! Most of the time my thread colors match, but not always.

We all make mistakes. I stepped in a two foot deep whole today. Its elevated rewatching quilting videos.. Would rather be in my quilting rooms quilting. LOL
I've seen the base quilting design done in larger scale without the tiny fill done edge to edge before. At this scale, I'd use if for a background for another motif or applique.
psf1955 it’s ok to not like someone’s work, but not ok to say it out loud. I have never visited a quilt shop where anyone speaks negatively about someone’s work. Most people want to encourage, and quilting is an art. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. I’m sure yours will be very nice as well. 🙂

Tineke Williams I’m sorry you think it was judgmental but people have walked out of quilt shops feeling like they are terrible at what they’ve done because it’s ‘ok’ to say just anything. I apologize I guess I’m not allowed to say what I think either because YOU have judged me.

I just rewatched your video, right now I am hand quilting and will use your instructions for a couple of my blocks, perfect.
