I just purchased the QN85C over a S90C. I spent a lot of time researching and determined that the amount of use I put on a TV with 3 kids, I couldn't risk burn in. Super happy with my choice and the QN85C gives me picture quality so close to OLED, it wasn't a hard decision.
QN85C isn't older its just a step down, only thing is it's not as bright but in most scenes its hardly noticeable overall its the same exact panel and processor.
QN85C is a good choice, I don't think I would let kids near an OLED myself lol even though I am not afraid of burn in kids somehow would find a way I bet eventually
The main thing that sold me on the S90c vs any non-OLED tv is the sense of depth. The OLED TVs have noticeably more depth than non-OLED tvs do in person. There is just no way around it. It's phenomenal in terms of adding realism to the picture, and it is more important to the viewing experience than a few more nits of brightness. By far.
Speak for yourself. That viewing experience goes down the drain in a well lit living room. Not ideal to switch off lights and close curtains before watching some TV. That's where QLEDs come out better.
in 2 years OLED will burn out, also you have annoying screen savers, while mini-led can run 24/7, for the same money you can get 30-40% larger mini-led for even better viewing experience
Same reason i prefered the QN90C over the S95C - the feeling of 3D in the LED version. I have a OLED LG B2 - black are super, white is neutral, but... no depth it the image. Other thing - in the shop i tested the S95C and QN90C for judder effect - the S95C had problems at 24 fps, the QN60C none. At 60fps both were ok.
UPDATE: Yesterday I received my QN90C 55" and it was a...disappointment. The image looks more like an OLED than a QLED - the warm, deep image was gone. I miss my MU8000. Like the Most OLEDs, my nano QLED displays very bluish. greens, oversaturated and looks unnatural. I will experiment with the settings this weekend, hope to get the photo to my liking.
Definitely going with the QN90C. Burn in is a real fear of mine and it's also going in my family room with vaulted ceilings and 2 huge skylights. They make watching TV in the day time interesting.....
I have the s90c 77inch and man it is a beautiful beast. The off angle viewing is incredible. I set it to dynamic with standard tone and high abl. When using the xbox series x I set it to movie with standard and high abl. The color pop is incredible.
@BrandonChaseDrums it does a very good job with the motion as I select to let the tv handle that by selecting auto-picture clarity. And to provide a picture setting, and update, I now use the standard with standard tone and high abl. On the Xbox, I use the game mode picture settings.
@@TheEspoir08all types of oled will experience image retention issues when using them for a few years. What your talking about is if they decided to use their 90c for 8+hours a day and view static content like news and sports banners they will definitely start to see image retention faster than LGS WOLED
Despite some of the nitpicky comments here, I thought it was an excellent video that touched on all the major points. I wish there was no such thing as burn in and that OLED came in 85", but many of us just don't want to even think about burn in or have to baby the TV. The OLED picture is incredible, but I do have a modern bright room with windows everywhere, I do watch shows with static images, and I play a ton of gaming with static HUDs., not to mention 85" is the minimum size I'll buy, so for me personally, TVs like the Samsung QN95C and the Sony X95L (which is the set I'm leaning toward for my next purchase), are close enough to OLED to make me happy.
I got "burned" by a plasma tv burning in 10 years ago. Have steered clear of any tech that can burn in. Have a qn95b 85 inch and it looks amazing compared to the js9500 I had in 2016. Skipping Oled. MicroLED (self emissive LED) is the future and death of OLED (and burnin) in 5 years!!
@@christophervasquez9088 I mean I get your qualms but it's kind of illogical to let one bad experience, one flaw, take your focus from all the good, no? I too bought a Panny plasma back in 2009. By the time I got my C9 in 2019 to finally upgrade, there was indeed permanent image retention on the plasma, mostly due to when I was going through a hard time in life and was playing a game called Tribes 2 for hours and hours at a time, no longer caring about burn in because I was just depressed. If I displayed screens of uniform colors, I could easily make out the HUD, windows taskbar, etc. However, so what? Movies and tv shows still looked great 99.9% of the time, save for the rare moment when there was a lot of uniformity And this was with really bad burn in caused by deliberate negligence. Plus I got 10 years out of that TV and the risk of burn in was a small price to pay for the numerous benefits of technologies like plasma and oled compared to lcd. Black levels, response time, motion, etc. All subjective, sure, and some find OLED's response time/motion to be harsh and jarring after years of being used to how lcd displays smear everything. But to me, someone who has used plenty of lcd displays but never once actually owned a dedicated LCD large screen TV, this is a benefit. Nowadays, LG especially, has implemented so many precautions to mitigate burn in that unless you plan to do something like I did, play one game for 5+ hours nonstop every single day, you likely have nothing to worry about and so much to gain from the benefits of such technology that is vastly superior to LCD.
Forgot to mention, both of these tvs were bought because of your good reviews, and I know the s95c and qn95c are slightly better, but $1000 difference is too much.
You should include movie content with black bars (cinemascope) in your reviews. We don’t buy Tv to watch demos all day long. You can make almost any modern LCD look good on full screen content, things fall apart on some Tv when watching scope movies
I’ve tried this so many times, but copyright detection puts a stop to most of it I’ve had to trim so much out of my videos over the last couple of years I can do stills but then people will say “we don’t watch for stills” lol
Thinking of doing the same with a 55 inch. Can you give an update on how it is going using it as a monitor? text clarity / gaming etc? would appreciate it thanks!
I ended up getting the S90C, it was a tough decision because one QN90C seem to offer higher peak brightness which is useful for my living room which is bright during the day and it was also on special for a bit less. I also liked how the QN90C produced warm colours however my choice for the S90C was mainly the contrast ratio, the refresh rate, a better overall colour accuracy and how much better games look on the QD-OLED
How have you been enjoying yours? I also got the S90c and I'm a bit let down by the brightness in gaming, and the ABL is quite noticeable and annoying. Wondering if I should have gotten the QN90C.
I bought an LG OLED a few years ago and I am STILL MOST IMPRESSED by the picture quality. HOWEVER (!), I AM NOT IMPRESSED WITH THE BURN IN from typical every day use. Consequently, I shall look for a NON OLED TV for my next purchase.
@@chocholatemilkshake4799 bro i bought the 43 inch online and returned it the nex day i got it, it has a VA PANEL that has terrible viewing angles, you have to be petrified in front of the tv and in the center to have a good color and image quality, if you move just a bit of center it looks very bad, color washout and the image quality drops alot!!!, im going to by one that has IPS panel
@@AMP889 That was addressed on another video on this channel. The answer is yes as it is with every LCD on the planet that has local backlight dimming zones. That said it is subtle a lot of the time going by the review. In the end, both premium technologies are flawed - mini LED has blooming, OLED has burn-in risk (or in many usage cases, a rock solid 100% guarantee of permanent burn-in as it would be in my case). We have to pick our poison I am afraid.
@@jonathanparle8429 Thats why i ended up buying a full array tv with IPS panel, wich by the way the samsung QN90C has a VA panel with terrible viewing angles, the colors fade and the image quality drops when you get off center.
I appreciate your reviews being centered around the different ways people watch and use tv and not just purely on picture quality. That way, people can make informed decisions based on their own lifestyle instead of trying to get the non existent one size fits all tv.
@ts8960 haven't seen any blooming .. I have a well lit room like 2 light sources. Only time I say some blooming when I turned off lights and launched Netflix .. there was a slight blooming around 'N' logo. Have watched all kinds of movies series , no issues
i got the QN90C for half its price, the same price as a sony X80L during the holidays, which is a considerable deal already. Never regretted buying the QN90C, the details, the HDR, the brightness, are insane, and the selling point for me atleast is the HDMI 2.1 for PS5. but hey since i just got it for a discounted price, its not like i can be more picky since my money wasn't reaching the srp price of these mini leds or Oleds in the first place.
Just got my QN 90 C beautiful picture they talk about the 95C being a little brighter you would never need that. This TV is so bright but beautiful options because you can adjust it exactly the way you want for brightness or color you would not want the 90 B model cannot adjust brightness very well, the C model you can pretty much do everything don’t have to worry about TV burn. The colors are very close to the OLED. Peace of mind. Great color on this television.
very nice presentation, thank you... i own an LG oled and after 4 years of use burn in begun to show up, at 6 years it reached a point that it needs to be replaced, i will go with Samsung QN90C just because i want a peace of mind, i am using pc/windows a lot on the tv and got bored of moving windows/programs/icons around just to avoid burn in...
Thanks for this review. If you have a dark room, OLED TVs are OK. Any window is a no-no. I researched the best TV and bought an OLED a few years ago. I watch a lot of TV. I had a room with windows. I had a BURN-IN after 13 months. ( LOGO burn-in ) I gave the TV away and bought a Samsung QLED. I was amazed at how great the picture was compared to the OLED. I felt like I had been mislead by the OLED reviews. Now I am about to buy a QN90C and I know it will be great.
Yes, a lot of review is misleading like 2 years ago I bought 77" a80j and didn't realize my bright living room will make it impossible to watch TV program during daytime. I returned it and bought 85" QN85A, now I could see the image. At night with all lights out, there is not much big difference. But daytime viewing side by side comparison A80J looks very bad, 85" 300 bucks cheaper is the winner.
I have friends with OLED TVs. Some of them have dead pixels all over and most lose their vibrancy after some time. If you watch a lot of TV, I believe OLEDs won't last long for you.
@@marcusaurelius2988 What do you mean? That TV shows damage OLEDs?? If so l, I wouldn't know because I don't own one. I have friends that do and still swear by them because they prefer PQ regardless of the burn in. They just baby their sets more than I would with a Mini LED set.
Is there any kind of minor burn in, I went to the showroom and even in the display OLED TVs there was minor green lins e ghost burn in images there if you go close to the tv.
it was easier for me when i have decided to marry my wife then choose a TV specially with the bad experience with SONY Bravia Google TV, the screen damage after 12 months only i just order a QN90C after i watch this video
@@bibousniper I've had the QN90C for a few months now. I have the 50" version so it's using the QN90B VA panel at 144Hz. I came from a 2020 lg 49NANO85 and I can say that the colors and HDR are worlds better. I haven't regretted it at all. Especially after finding the settings in the TV that allow me to disable that home screen and a few others.
I just ordered the 65" S90C, which is an upgrade from my 55" TCL 6 series that I'm not a fan of. I wanted the 77" S90C, but it was out of my budget. I'm hoping for a Gen 2 panel and from what I'm reading there's a very good chance I'll get one now off the Samsung website.
Thanks this review is really helpful. Here in the UK was deciding between the S90C (77") and QN85c (85") for seated approximately 12-13 feet from the screen. It's hard to tell on a computer, but how much screen quality is sacrificed between the Mini-LED and OLED in terms of percentage wise as they look identical on my computer to me.
From your comparison the QN90C beat the S90C hands down. That QN90C is insanely bright. Factor in the burn in for s90c oled then the qn90c definitinely takes the crown i wouldnt want to risk a burn in which surely may take place as usage drags on
Great video. Any chance of doing a S95C vs QN90C video? Im curious how the extra brightness of the S95C stacks up against the QN90C. Also, could you do a section with the tvs in dynamic/vivid or at least standard? The other settings are just too dim for me. Thanks.
Yeah that one was already filmed its coming soon! I am kind of dripping out these comparisons to let them all have their own time in the spotlight but for sure that one was one that I did.
Thanks for the comparison . Very well done and very helpful . For me , I am now sold on the QN90C -- 55" . Your video did a great job at comparison and in some content the LCD , to me , looked better than the OLED !! I really appreciate this , thanks again , Dreamer
@@tylerthere5832 It is for this very reason that I want to go for the QN90C; it is a much brighter TV. My current 6 year old TV simply does not get bright enough for HDR content which is super annoying, and I am afraid I might have the same problem with an OLED. Do you have the same experience with your S95B where it is not bright enough for HDR content, even in a dark room?
The S90C has unpleasant red-purple hues. Makes it press magenta. It is especially noticeable when there are blue and white details, for example the sky, there always appears magenta, which is not noticeable with the QN90C. I don't know if this is due to incorrect settings or because of the filters that the QDOED panels have, but personally it annoys me.
They both kind of have a magenta push in the WB but the S90C only looks more so on camera due to how QD OLED is captured on camera, in person the qn90c actually pushed magenta more.
Burn in is a very real thing with the S90c and the thing about burn in is that once you see it, you can't un-see it. Burn in in is NOT COVERED under warranty! Also, the QN90d is $1000+ more for minimum gains so it seems the best choice is the QN90c and when it comes to warranty, Samsung can't be beat. My current 8k QN850T (Costco) has had a consistent problem staying connected to my Vizio soundbar and the TV remote only intermittently works with it. Samsung came out and replaced the motherboard twice. The problem came back. They didn't have and equivalent model for replacement so they're refunding me the full retail price. That's a real warranty.
I definitely like my QN90B more than my LG CX. I also owned a C2 that I returned and ended up getting the QN90B. Believe me, I NEVER thought my favorite TV would be an LCD based TV, since I came from years of owning and preferring CRTs and plasmas. But the quantum dot color and mini LED backlight system really do seem to solve most of the issues I used to have with LCD TVs. The only one remaining are the poor viewing angles, but I never really watch this TV from side angles, so it's really more of a "nice to have just in case" sort of thing. Colors are amazing and the motion with black frame insertion, which I always use, is simply the best I've seen on any TV since my Sony CRT
Ended up getting the qn90c, needed a smaller tv(monitor) for a pc, the qn90c does offer a 50 inch compared to 55 being the smallest on the s90c, and the price is just too different where I live, copped a qn90c 50” for 790 usd compared to a 1450 usd for the s90c 55”, almost half price
Edit: I check again, and the burn in is gone. The refresh must not have taken when I did it manually. If you use an OLED as a monitor, you will absolutely get burn in. I have the C1 and was trying to be super careful for a year and noticed some burn in that would not go away after a pixel refresh.
MiniLED is the obvious choice, it can be bright, it can be dark (granted, not like OLED but it's getting there) meaning it'll work both in bright and dark rooms, doesn't suffer from burn-ins and last much, much longer, I see no reason to go for OLED just for a slightly better picture quality, which won't last long anyways.
I was always an LED fan, but the QD Oleds really are much better, unless you need a light cannon for some reason. Even the newer Woleds are better imho. Price and size is the only reason I could see, to get an LED tv now, for most people.
Well, I can't say I agree. I don't have the QN90C, but I do own the QN90B and it's my favorite TV. I like it better than my LG CX OLED. For me the difference in black levels is very minimal and doesn't really make any difference to my viewing experience. I actually like the fact that the QN90B doesn't overly darken black shades, because on the CX dark shades look crushed and too dark in a way that doesn't look natural. But the main reasons I like the QN90B are related to color and motion. Colors simply look more pleasing on the QN90B. The colors are richer, thicker, more vibrant, yet still more realistic on the QN90B vs the OLED. The quantum dot colors look more similar to my plasmas' colors, which were the benchmark for me. Finally, motion is extremely important to me and the QN90B blows away the CX in this regard. First of all, understand that I will not use a sample and hold display. I came from years of owning CRTs and plasmas and good motion is as important as picture quality. So I use the black frame insertion mode on my TVs the entire time. The QN90B has smoother motion, especially for low framerate content like movies and 30fps console games. But it also has slightly clearer motion. Most importantly, though, is that it maintains 100% of its picture quality while using BFI, while the CX loses color saturation and accuracy and looks very dim and dull in comparison. This difference is like night and day and makes the QN90B the clear winner. The fact that I can play any game with any sort of HUD for as long as I want and not have to worry about burn in is also a big thing to me.
Big selling points for me and the reason I got an S92C was the off axis quality (as I use it as a second monitor so view from an angle) and the near perceptible input latency when compared to LCD which is a big deal for gaming.
Another consideration is the TV Depth - I am obsessed with the wall mounting slimness and for some reason, the 55QN90C is slimmer than 55S90C 28mm VS 40mm.
I got an S90c and there is no way gaming brightness would be similar to a QN90c. My s90c seems so dim to me but everywhere you look it's supposed to be super bright and great for HDR games. I'm just not seeing it, maybe mine is defective
I think the way those comparisons look in your videos is very misleading. Instead of putting both TVs next to each other and capturing it with one camera at the same time you should capture both separately with an ISO which looks close to how it looks in real and at the end you post edit. Simply crop the Tvs from the two different clips and put them side by side... everyone who is not into Tvs would think this is how dimm the s90c really looks.
Great vid! Went with the qn90c 85” due to room brightness and having the space. Started with LG but the Samsung mini led put theirs to shame in person. Wanted an OLED and it would have been cheaper but the reflections are very real and a deal breaker. Well done, review much appreciated!
@@EverydayElectronics23 only noticeable if you’re looking for it and you put on a dark screen with small bright objects. It was a concern for me at purchase but since I’ve owned it I haven’t had any problems.
Qn90c don't want to deal with burn in. I got burn in on my LG CX after close to 3 years. The oLED is not all that much better especially for the price. Lastly I want a brighter tv.
Im still trying to decide this, 85" QN90C or 77" S90C. I'm 11 feet from the wall, and that wall is exactly 100" across. Part of me says go with the OLED for the better picture quality, but part of me says get the 85" and fill that wall space as much as possible, and be more immersed. 🤷🏿♂️
@@TechWithKGAgreed; however, I'm sticking with Samsung due to affiliate pricing. Trying to figure out which is the better option between the 83" S90C, and the 85" QN90C. Thanks!
This was very helpful, thanks! Just ordered a QN90C because I'm afraid of burn-in. Could you include more examples that show the real difference between the two? Or is the point that they are THATCLOSE to each other as far as performance?
I've had my 55" QN90C for about a month now & I love it. There is blooming but only on the corners when the screen is blank & has a logo on the corners. However in full picture I don't notice & the picture is excellent. I finally tuned it to just how I like it. How do you like yours?
Fantastic comparison. I think you'll notice the brightness difference honestly only in full-field situations, where you have a fully white background 100%, other than that you won't.
I bought the 43 inch QN90C, with VA Panel, to use a super size PC Monitor, awesome, no regrets. So impressed, will look at upgrading to the 50 inch, which also has the VA Panel, during black Friday. If your thrashing your Screen as PC Monitor all day and all night long its the best option, no concerns with burn in, and great picture... Blooming? what blooming, hard to find if any...
Very helpful comparison. I'm leaning toward an 85" - I can purchase the 85" QNC90 for $2000 or 83" S90c for $2750. My use is streaming, sports, and PS5. Living room can get get bright and I worry about reflections - I have shade but not black out shades. The better value seems to be the QN90C
83" S90C is WOLED a better comparison would be my C3 vs QN90C video as the 83" S90C is closer to a C3. QN90C will be way brighter in this case I would recommend the 85" QN90C.
@@xDollarz Not yet but I just ordered the slim mount for it. I'm def getting this TV but I'm waiting for the end of the year to see if it drops a few more. If it doesn't I'll still get it.
@@xDollarzThis TV is beautiful!! HDR content and games have been amazing. I have been thinking about the S90C or S95C but I'd have to downsize from my 85" QN90C. Im also in a room with lots of sunlight during the day and if I had an OLED, I'd have to jack up the brightness and you all know what that can potentially lead to with static images.
Thanks, I would say take a look at my C3 vs QN90C video this year and my C2 vs QN90B video from last year that will help you decide that, its a W-OLED just like the S89C would be S89C is similar to the C3 of this year. Hope this helps.
I had my both my kids (14 and 16) watch this entire video, in 1440p they both said the left side (s90c) looks brighter and better. This is really something for QD oled matching the 3rd place brightest TV of 2023 according to Rtings both in SDR and HDR nits. The QN90C was beaten by the QM8 (2nd) and the Samsung Terrace (1st) which is designed to be outdoors. There really is something to be said about "Perceived Brightness" and QD Oled tech. All the those additional layers and Local Dimming really pull back the overall brightness on a whats considered a Very Bright LED/MiniLED TV.
Just got QN75QN90C few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Black lebels are around 90% of the S90C i must say so unless you are a super expert and take a super super expert look u wont be able to tell the difference between the two models.
I have a Samsung QLED and a LG OLED, both 65 inch. If you think burn in isn’t a thing in 2023, I beg to differ. We took every precaution with our LG and it has burned in significantly. Seems video games are the main culprit, but there is also a progress bar burned in from videos. Lg agreed to pay for the panel if I pay the labor. I’ll take my Samsung any day for this money. It is NOT perfect, but it’s the same as the day I bought it at least.
Got the 55in. s90c, my 1st oled, it's hdr and color are incredible. I did go with a q symphony soundbar because sound needed a boost. Glad I went qd oled. I have a 3 year old samsung 65in. qled, and now I have 2 high quality tvs!
I'm still open to QD OLED as I love OLED from LG and even though Samsung doesn't have Dolby Vision, I still would get it especially since I still have LG OLED with Dolby Vision.
I really like hdr 10+. You will like it as much or more than Dolby Vision is only preferred because there is more of it. Amazon Prime and Apple + have HDR 10+, and it looks great. FOMO says you wouldn't miss Dolby Vision on Samsung, and HDR 10 is good too.
@@DedricSilvaLG OLED has a far less luminance screen than Samsung, the colors are much less also.. Just the G3 is similar on brightness but much less colorful so.... What is the point to have the Dolby vision if the tv overall is less colorful and less brightening
Watched this again KG. Im on the fence with S95C and QN95C KG. Gee Id love to see you compare these to put it to bed once and for all. I heard you say on one of your videos the G3 has a green push..many have also noticed this so I crossed that off. But the S95C has a pink push so KG would the A95L beat all these tvs? My scenario is a gamer who loves watching movies and cable 1080p stuff in a very ambient front room. Thanks KG.
My perception is that if you have a bright room (lots of windows) there is no way you should even consider an OLED...which is why I'm getting the QN90C instead. You agree with this decision? I want an 85" size.
i have a dailemma so I can get the QN90C with a samsung sound bar in a bundle for 1199 or I can get the s90C standard for 1299 idk what to do since the sound bar makes up for tv speakers but the oled is better for picture quality, its basically picture qulaity or sound quality.
Both look great to me. But what about burn-in potential if you watch tons of sports and news channels with all their logos and white banners across the bottom?
@Teckwitkg , im really confused on choosing btw s90c 77 or qn85c, icant go for qn90c, but i prefer a big size, and a good quality. What should i choose. ?
How far away are you sitting factor that into the equation most of all they are close, so if the extra size is going to be beneficial you have to think about that if you are sitting far.
I bought the QN92C 55 inch a month ago but I dont like the ADS panel in it..I had a Samsung Q8FNA 49 inch with VA panel 2018 and it looked much better...there should be more attention to the fact there is a difference between IPS/ADS panels en VA panels...IPS sucks despite the wide viewing angle...
I am confused about picking a right tv between 65 inch s90 c and 75 inch qn90c . It’s a bright living room and Viewing distance is 3.5 to 5 meters. Please suggest.
KG, can you possibly review the 77s90c against the 75x95L....I'm not a gamer but I watch satellite, stream and sports, I want the sharpest picture possible...what would you prefere...I sit straight onto the TV....much appreciated from the UK
Better sports performance, especially in HDR, and no fear of burn in...I think that might trump the slightly better low end blacks and haloing. But, maybe I'm wrong.
If I'm going to play PS5 and sometimes use the TV as a PC monitor in a relatively dark room, should I go for the S90C or the newer QN95C? (I can get the QN95C for 1000 NOK cheaper than the S90C)
@@marius0910 for gaming S90c is superior to C3 i had the same doubt and i chose s90c and i dont regret. u just have to have it to know what im talking about.
I think it is a bit disingenuous to state that people who *fear* burn-in should steer clear of the S90C. More correctly, people who WILL suffer burn-in should avoid it. And to be honest, it continues to baffle me why people would buy a high end OLED when the highest fidelity content available to watch on it will come from blurays and 4K Ultra disks, all of which (bar perhaps 2% of them) will have black bars left / right or top / bottom 100% of the time. And you only need to see Rtings test of what happens to an OLED in these situations that the so-called fear is real. As a computer monitor OLEDs make a lot of sense, but not as a TV.
To my eyes, the S90C colours are slightly more vibrant, and the blacks a little blacker, but there's very little in it. What's the price difference between the two? The QN90C at 55" is the same price as the LG C3 OLED in the UK. Wouldn't buy a Samsung. Read too much about poor motion processing.

@@dalmarNomad I didn't find it worth the additional $400 for the additional peak brightness. It's already bright enough for me.
@@trader2137some claim that Samsung has solved the burn-in issue with s90c.
UPDATE:
Yesterday I received my QN90C 55" and it was a...disappointment.
I scare about burn, that make me maybe go for the mini-led. Samsung QD-Oled ahave a lot problèm with that, more than oled on lg.
@TheEspoir08 there is no burn in
@@TheEspoir08all types of oled will experience image retention issues when using them for a few years. It's Incredible that people still put their tvs in dynamic mode 😭

Great comparison bro. I’m actually surprised how close they look. I think that says a lot about how far LCDs & OLEDs have improved.
You should include movie content with black bars (cinemascope) in your reviews. We don’t buy Tv to watch demos all day long. You can make almost any modern LCD look good on full screen content, things fall apart on some Tv when watching scope movies

Go for 65 if you can, especially if your coming from 50. Me personally, I got a 55in s95b and am both left wanting in size and sdr/hdr brightness.
@@tylerthere5832 Agree...get a 65 inch
Both of these are impressive to me. My choice will come down to which one upscales better in sdr content. Any suggestions?
The S90C has unpleasant red-purple hues. Makes it press magenta. It is especially noticeable when there are blue and white details, for example the sky, there always appears magenta, which is not noticeable with the QN90C. I don't know if this is due to incorrect settings or because of the filters that the QDOED panels have, but personally it annoys me.
They both kind of have a magenta push in the WB but the S90C only looks more so on camera due to how QD OLED is captured on camera, in person the qn90c actually pushed magenta more.
That's all true, and s95c don't have this problem for some reason. I compared 55s90c, 55qn90c, and 65s95c in same modes.
Thats more of a Samsung problem, than one explicit to the S90C
MINI LED for the win also has absolute no burn in risk like OLED tvs !!!
Nah it loses
Thanks KG for sharing, led isn't definitely dead and it's actually the best value tech for 75-85 inches size

Looking at these tvs . Which one would you recommend for live hockey brightness and motion rate ? Thanks

This cap qm8 has 1300 nits the qn90c has 1940😂
So i just replaced my burned in s90c 55 with a 43 qn90c and man this is bright playing gt7 on ps5 its insane it also uses a va panel
Just got QN75QN90C few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Black lebels are around 90% of the S90C i must say so unless you are a super expert and take a super super expert look u wont be able to tell the difference between the two models.
I find the s90c which I use to have is too saturated. The QN is more real life looking to me.
Samsung neo qled 65inh qn90c &
Sony 65inh 90L
Which is the best TV.....?
Qn90c
If you want the sony processing get the x93l
@@chrome3720 65 inches price
I’m really torn between these 2. Will I regret not getting the s90c if I get the qn90c?
85 QN90C owner, I love my TV set. I don't have one single complaint. Beautiful and lively pic, great stock sound.
Very nice! QN90C 85" is a solid purchase.
Thanks KG.
Very impressive📺 the contrast/ black details/ bright on the QN90C I would like to see if the QN95C can surpass that 😅
It should do better since it has more dimming zones, but the 90 series from Samsung lately has been that way they are very impressive TVs.
Thanks for your review 😊
I am hesitant between them (QN90C 75”) and (S90C 77) with extra $750 for the S90C
What is your recommendation.
Thanks
My perception is that if you have a bright room (lots of windows) there is no way you should even consider an OLED...which is why I'm getting the QN90C instead. You agree with this decision? I want an 85" size.
I'm worried about my nephew's putting everything on pause and burn in. Thinking if getting The q90c
i have a dailemma so I can get the QN90C with a samsung sound bar in a bundle for 1199 or I can get the s90C standard for 1299 idk what to do since the sound bar makes up for tv speakers but the oled is better for picture quality, its basically picture qulaity or sound quality.
I ended going with the qn90c just since sound quality matters a bit more to me
Both look great to me. But what about burn-in potential if you watch tons of sports and news channels with all their logos and white banners across the bottom?
Should I go Samsung 98" qled or 85 Oled from a 75 Samsung 75" UHD
I was watching the displays yesterday they look very similar still dont know if i should go with 2023 s90c oled or 2024 neo qled qn85d
Does this buying advice still apply between the S80C and the QN85C? I'd be using it for Netflix and gaming.
What did you end up purchasing?
thanks so much for this review, exactly what i needed. QN it is then
Glad it was helpful!
I watched this video on a QLED. Can you really tell how good the OLED is if you watch this video on a QLED?
@Teckwitkg , im really confused on choosing btw s90c 77 or qn85c, icant go for qn90c, but i prefer a big size, and a good quality. What should i choose. ?
How far away are you sitting factor that into the equation most of all they are close, so if the extra size is going to be beneficial you have to think about that if you are sitting far.
@@TechWithKG not that far, im 3 meters, from the screen, i just dont wana regret quality.
77 S90C or S89C would give you the best picture quality
These videos are so helpful!
Glad you think so!
That’s very far I’d say 75” QN90C for sure
KG, can you possibly review the 77s90c against the 75x95L....I'm not a gamer but I watch satellite, stream and sports, I want the sharpest picture possible...what would you prefere...I sit straight onto the TV....much appreciated from the UK
You think the G3 will go down even a little for labor day 2023?
Better sports performance, especially in HDR, and no fear of burn in...I think that might trump the slightly better low end blacks and haloing. But, maybe I'm wrong.
Not sure where you are from, but these TVs in Germany are not priced the same. The S90C is about 350 to 400 Euros more than the QN90C.
I am getting now QN90b and S90C OLED at same price. So out of both at same price point which to buy? pls suggest
S90C not really close imo S90C to me is the clear choice
@@TechWithKG You mean to say QN90C is not really close to S90C ?
I went for Hisense U88KM. Better price great quality bought a larger one for the same price.
I found a dead bug stuck in the screen of my 55 inch q6fn this morning, what would you recommend for a good replacement?
What’s the budget?
@@TechWithKG 2k, but would like to keep it lower.
If I'm going to play PS5 and sometimes use the TV as a PC monitor in a relatively dark room, should I go for the S90C or the newer QN95C? (I can get the QN95C for 1000 NOK cheaper than the S90C)
S90C by far is the better option IMO
I found out that I can buy an LG G3 for almost the same price as the S90C. U think LG then would be a better choice?
@@marius0910 for gaming S90c is superior to C3 i had the same doubt and i chose s90c and i dont regret. u just have to have it to know what im talking about.
I'm confused which I should get 77" S90C for 2560 or 75" QN90C for 2340? Whats your recommendation?
I would go with the 77 S90C personally as I think its the better overall TV.
I would go with S90C 2" bigger, better picture sharpness and color, beside brightness is not a problem for bright room.
@@Sal112350 i went with s90c as it was cheaper and had a good deal with soundbars. Its great so far n hope to have no issues for next few yrs.
When it comes to burn in I think oled is a bad technology. Who wants to worry about that? I purchased the qn90c 75 inch
how are you liking it? if you use a cable box, how are sports?
@@phillipsbyrd224 I think it’s nice and soccer is nice too.
Excellent comparison video KG. 😊
I cant make my mind up on either of these tv's.
S90c worried about burn in
QN90C. Blooming issues
I have had the Qn90c for 2 months. I don't have one regret not buying an oled. It is so bright and the colors pop.
Samsung S90C for me and My House, why ?.... well the Picture is BETTER. (I watched BOTH in a cinema-room set-up, in RicherSounds.
