    Geez Bazz! You made that tyre change easy. Same tyre on my Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro (17") was very difficult to bead. But, I enjoy the Motoz Tractionator Adventure in my situation. I look forward to your out and about review. 👍

      @bobdrakeford5731 Thanks Bob, I think they would be great for the tiger. I keep saying next time I'll get the shop to fit them but I end up doing it myself.

    That MotoZ desert front tyre is absolutely stuning! You will love that tyre and you will not want other tyre. For the rear, the MotoZ Rallz is amazing but the Adventure will work great too! Waiting for new vídeos in the trails with the new tyres!

    I have a 90/90-21 Dualventure. Honestly, it's a very scary tire when new, there was significant instability when going above 100km/h. But it has stabilised after a few hundred km, and traction is excellent.

    • @markhills3922
      @markhills3922 Місяць тому

      Good call; Lanolin is a great lube for axles; i would of removed the axle/bearing seals and popped the caps off the bearings as well; they usually have minimal grease and the grease they use is like Vaseline; i clean them out with Kero and a stiff brush and repack with high-temp bearing grease.

    use soapy water instead of WD40 on the bead, also the way you balanced the front tire is how motoGP & SBK teams do it.

    • @markhills3922
      @markhills3922 Місяць тому

      i was going to suggest the same before i read your comment; diluted dishwash evaporates; WD lubricates for ages before it disappears.

    Too easy Baz! last time i changed a tubeless there was all kinds of swearin goin on while getting the old tyre off; mind you, that was on a 1980 GPZ1100 restoration i am doing; would of been great to see the issues with the cush drive...maybe next time; i would of thought there'd be a circlip to hold the drive onto the hub....and that front axle was ridiculously tight; no way would you of gotten that off beside the road.

    • @bazz6670
      @bazz6670  Місяць тому

      @markhills3922 Thanks Mark, I know the older bikes can be a bit of a challenge, I think these were easy being new and still having lube on the rim. No real problem with the cush drive it was just a bit hard to get rite back in creating no gap for the spacers and there may have been swearing at that stage. Thanks for commenting. Oh and I'm glad I wasn't undoing front axle in the bush somewhere, should be OK now it's loosened.

    • @markhills3922
      @markhills3922 Місяць тому +1

      @@bazz6670 so no circlip holding the drive hub Baz? that front axle being so tight is why i go over ANY new (or 2nd hand) bike front to back, top to bottom before i ride it anywhere; also, there shouldn't be any lube on the rim...if there is, it needs to be gone as the tyre will spin on the rim...particularly if there is no rim lock(s).

    Have you previously tried the Motoz Tractionator GPS tyres? They are suppose to be quite good on and offroad and relatively quiet on the black stuff with great longevity.

    Nice 👍🏻 I was going to go the motoz desert HT on the rear and the Pirelli scorpion desert rally comp on the front but I don’t think it’s a tubeless tyre 🤔

    • @bazz6670
      @bazz6670  Місяць тому

      @EddyOtway they would be nice tyres, I found looking for tubeless narrows the choice unless you order them, when I bought these from amx that's all I could get in tubeless. Still a good combo and I know the front will last a long time . If I had to I would just fit a tube to the front.

  • @holden3083
    @holden3083 4 дні тому

    👍. What is your opinion of this tyre choice on wet roads please? Looking at putting a set on my bike, but because of their poor wet roads performance. From people saying they slip / let go on corners. Thinking about something else.

    • @bazz6670
      @bazz6670  4 дні тому +1

      @holden3083 hi , I like the rear tyre haven't had any trouble with slipping on the road but depends on your riding style too. I take it easy on wet roads. The tyre is great off road, hard wearing and deep tread. The rallz has more grip on dirt but I found it wore quick. The front tyre desert ht is a good hard wearing tyre as well but I find it noisy and a bit twitchy on bitumen. Haven't had it slip . Hope that helps.

    Which model motoz exactly are these? Also, you're a brave soul for jacking up the on the skid plate. I also have a jack and been fearful of jacking up on the skid plate seeing that it's only 1mm thin.. been looking to get a 3mm one. Hows the skid plate after jacking jt up? Is it now stuck to the exhaust manifold?
