Hi Bazz, Thanks for taking the extra time and effort for making this video. I think everyone will change the gearing. I'm curious to see in future if someone keeps the 14 tooth up front and drops 1-2 to 45-46 at the rear as a bit compromise to ensure suitable gearing for off road use. Time will tell.... That oil won't help. You should dry the frame and pour in rust converter instead. Seal the hole by welding and paint the welded area.

Is the speed sensor ona the wheel or in the transmission?

I have long commutes to good adventure routes… will this bike do 120kph for a couple hours and comfortably?

Nice video Bazz. I'm doing mine as we speak. I've just stopped for lunch while the frame tubes dry out. Yes I had water in mine too which had never been in the rain except when it was on the trailer coming home from picking up, but I have done a couple of deeper water crossings. Ok I better get back to it so I can get all my bits fitted ready to ride tomorrow

👍. What is your opinion of this tyre choice on wet roads please? Looking at putting a set on my bike, but because of their poor wet roads performance. From people saying they slip / let go on corners. Thinking about something else.

At least they fit good Baz...No bash plate yet? B & B in Ballarat make a plate for the 450MT; I bought some upper/lower crash bars for the R1200GS off FleaBay and the right side needed cutting, modifying the bends and welding back together again; Now it fits better than the left side so I have to modify it now as well; Then I have to paint it...or maybe powder coat; Just as well I know how to weld and have a Mig or the bars would be useless; I haven't even tried to fit the top bars yet so no doubt they will need to be modified too; No wonder they are much cheaper than 'brand name' items!

I wanted to drop you a message to tell you that in greece we got a notice from CF Moto Greece that the small bars "We used to taped due to water holding" are going to be replaced and fixed by CF Moto at no cost. Maybe ask your official dealership about them :) Cheers!

Teething problems. I remember the Africa Twin having subframe issues in the beginning. This will be sorted out.

Hi Bazz, do you mind telling us where you bought the 15T sprocket from. The JT branded sprockets are infamous for being not suitable for the 450MT and there's some play when you put it in. I worry it's going to put premature wear on the axle.

I have to go far to get roads like this here in the UK but I am looking to try and get a viewing of the 450MT but here in the UK its like hens teeth. Might go and just look at someones bike tomorrow and get a deposit down. Keep up the great work. Also what trail pack do you use? I am looking for one for my Scambler 400X

Hi, I wanted to know if you don't turn off the knobs the battery doesn't run down? Maybe by putting a relay you can prevent the battery from discharging

Thanks for the vid...you made it easy to just decide to drill the rails rather than dick around with various fasteners and cable ties. No water in mine but drain holes for if and when it happens. How wonky is that bash plate lol...I had to loosely start three bolts and pry the plate off the headers to get the fourth started
