A new 4.4 liter V8 petrol engine, which was derived from the engines of the high-performance models from BMW M GmbH, ensures the outstandingly sporty temperament of the two top models. M TwinPower Turbo technology and a cross-bank exhaust manifold help the 390 kW/530 hp engine, whose maximum torque is 750 Nm, to achieve impressively superior performance characteristics.
The latest version of the eight-cylinder engine accelerates the new BMW X5 M60i xDrive and the new BMW X6 M60i xDrive from zero to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds.
With the now standard design elements of the xLine model, the BMW X5 clearly gains in presence and robust charisma. Its front is characterized by the reinterpretation of the brand-typical features headlights and BMW kidney grille. The new headlight units have a contour that is 35 millimeters flatter. Their arrow-shaped daytime running light elements also act as direction indicators. Matrix LED headlights with cornering lights and anti-glare BMW Selective Beam high beam and M Shadow Line lights are available as options.
The BMW kidney grille Iconic Glow is offered for the first time as a further standard equipment for the six-cylinder models of the new BMW X5. Their waterfall lighting ensures a particularly present and brand-typical appearance. The vertical air curtains and the lower air inlet with a decorative clip in pearlescent chrome and triangular openings in the outer areas also contribute to the modern look.
The precisely further developed design of the BMW X5 also includes newly designed air breathers on the front side walls and the standard equipment with the Exterior Line and roof rails in satin aluminum finish. The rear lights now have a particularly striking contour of the sculptural light guide elements for the tail and brake lights. The L-shape typical of the brand is mirrored horizontally, creating a harmoniously glowing X motif within the rear lights.

BMW seems to have nailed the luxury part on this car, I’m battling to see why Porsche shouldn’t be worried with their new Cayenne; it seems smaller with cheaper plastics and too much tech, I think the X5 of this generation beats the Cayenne for value
The X5 I think has always been better from a value standpoint. But from data and what I've seen, those who can easily afford both mostly choose the Cayenne.
they ditched the laser lights in the US. I had them on my '21 M50i and they were awesome, but it was just totaled in a crash. I ordered a '24 M60i and no more laser lights for U.S. market. U.S. gov had a problem with them being too bright or something like that. Pretty disappointing, they also mellowed out the exhaust note. The M50i exhaust sounded so cool. We'll see how the new one does... it's supposed to be done mid November. I feel I get more customization and value for the money vs the other euro manufacturers so I stick with BMW. This will be my 3rd X5 and they have been great cars.

This one is priced out probably around $100,000....give or take a few thousand.
Mine was roughly $107k with options.

I have 3 problems with the new X5. It's too large, there is no more shifter just a nipple to flip and the new iDrive is a mess..... Right now the current X3 especially the M40i / X3M is one of the best overall BMW made currently,

Did anyone notice that iDrive screen has a shape like banana? :D Left upper corner and right upper corner are a bit higher than the middle of the whole screen.

Comfort = AIR SUSPENSION if you want soft floaty ride. Available on all cheaper models.
Sporty Handling = Adaptive M Suspension Professional comes standard with this m60i car. That's not a option on any other model!

Wrong, you need to get the names/options correct. There are 3 different suspension offers for the X5.
1. "Adaptive M Suspension" which is a standard (no cost) option for all X5s fitted with the M-sport package.
2. "Adaptive 2-axle air suspension" (which the car in the video has).
3. "Adaptive M Suspension Professional" (most expensive option). This deletes the air suspension and replaces it with electronically controlled shock absorbers & electro-magnetic valves. The damping of the front and rear axles are independently adjustable.

@@Digga_10 "Adaptive M Suspension Professional" is not standard with the M60i lol The M60i in the video has the 2-axle air suspension, an upgrade from the standard "Adaptive M Suspension" (standard on all M-sport package vehicles). The 50e does however come with the 2-axle air suspension as standard.

The X5M and X5M Competition are the most powerful X5's. You can buy today. The X5 M60i is below the X5M.

There is no X5 M anymore, only the comp. The M60 essentially replaced the base M, has a detuned S68 engine.
