Glad you guys did a follow up on this story. As soon as I saw the original report I was skeptical about the so called service dog giving birth in those circumstances. As a service dog handler, I saw many red flags that lead me to believe that the dog wasn’t a service dog. Either way glad you addressed the issue but wish you would have gone more in depth
Aertho I thought the same thing when I saw the first new story on it. From my understanding all service dogs are supposed to be spayed/ neutered. Not to mention that she flew with a dog that was that close to having puppies
Number one a service dog is supposed to be spayed/neutered. Number two a service dog should NOT Are you pregnant, let alone bring it on a flight well it’s pregnant
Elvis the King of service and WRONG again no where in the ada does it state that service dog’s are supposed to spayed or neutered due to either the breed or the needs of the handler
Legally, they don’t have to be spayed or neutered. It’s unethical to work a pregnant service dog. But there are countless handlers that work intact service dogs.
There's a "cc" button on UA-cam that u have to actually click if u want the captions. Understand thought that it isn't going to be 100% perfect though. That isn't the new station's fault though.
I'm a Handler of a Seizure Alert SD. People like this is the reason why I get so much pushback from businesses and the public because they don't see my disability then they automatically come to the conclusion it's a pet that I put a vest on. I believe there should be a federal law passed and enforced upon people without disabilities posing their pets as service animals. I hope Florida's DA does something about these people posing their two pets as service animals...
I definitely doubt those were service dogs, I could tell watching the video there not. A Handler will always spot a fake SD in a matter of seconds just by the dogs demeanor..
Yeah sure they are cute puppies, aren't they all. If you were a Handler of a SD then you would fully understand what the problem is with this situation...

Savannah Kinser Service dog’s are NOT required to be spayed or neutered because of not only the breed but because of the needs of some people

Wrong. Service dogs are NOT required to be fixed.

I don't doubt the dog isn't a service dog, but why would you travel with a dog that close to delivering!?

It's a good idea, but not required.
Wrong, they are NOT required to be fixed.
