This is the demo version of the song. The studio track is much more polished. Also I suggest checking out "She's like Heroin" by SOAD, it's one of their lesser liked songs but I think it's really good.
Yes it's the demo version, that's why it's so good, imo that 08:18 is better than the studio version, and the verses, but the studio version still has my fav soad bridge
And I wouldn't classify System of a Down as "Nu-Metal." They (kinda like Tool) are so fukking unique.... System of a Down is simply... "System." And Tool is simply.... "Tool." Labels restrict range. 😎
Fun fact: That's the DEMO VERSION of that song, and in my opinion the STUDIO version has the best bridge SOAD has ever made, but the verses and chorus in the demo are better imo, but the build up in the bridge of the studio version is totally worth it to check out, Serj did one of his best screams in that bridge, seriously the build up is amazing, but the demo is great as well
I wanna growls? Check the studio version,Trash Talkers, u gotta react to the STUDIO VERSION, with lyrics, even tho I prefer some parts of the demo, That whole part 09:08 - 10:00 is WAAAAY better in the album version, the build up and Serj did one of his best screams in the studio version, the build up is amazing in the album version, that's the demo version of the song from 1997 it came out before the album version (ofc) I don't know why they decided to do a music video of the demo version lol,
10:42 No it's not a studio trick because this is the demo version no studio polish, that's why it sounds raw and not polished, but check out the studio version for the best bridge and best build up(with lyrics ofc)
If you want a really strong message rooted in unjustified wars, watch the video for Empty Walls by Serj Tankian. The video, the lyrics, they hit...hard.
Actually the genre Nu Metal is diverse and the true definition of it can be applied to a lot of bands, Nu Metal isn’t strictly rock mixed with rap , a lot of people are ignorant of that, , Nu metal (sometimes stylized as nü-metal) is a subgenre of alternative metal that combines elements of heavy metal music with elements of other music genres such as hip hop, alternative rock, funk, industrial, grunge or indigenous and folk music like how System of a Down uses Middle Eastern music influences
Yeah, but now I know why...it's because for the sound of the video, they mixed the audio of War? from Self-Titled album, War? Demo for Demo Tape n.3 album and also the audio of the live presented in the video
If you want to hear a heavier SOAD you need to listen to their first album. While you're at it, go listen to Limp Bizkit, Deftones, Korn, and Hed P.E. first album. The golden age of Nu Metal.
@@PeeWeeGerman1313 lol there are 2 types of ppl, u who thought this was the studio version, and another guy here in the comments who said he never ever heard this version and didn't know this version lol, btw imo the verses and the chrous are better in the demo, but the bridge and the build up in the studio version is superior to me, the scream Serj did in the bridge "Of war WE DONT SPEAK ANYMOOOORE" always gets me chills, and ofc there's more growls, What a name, Karfield
@@leonidasneves7972 I'll definitely have to look into it when I get a chance. Maybe I have heard it hahaha I used to eff with SOAD but not as much these last 10 years or more. Just whenever Smoke and Hollywood do a react is about it. And yes... It's a handle hahaha people tell me it sounds like an actor's name whatever that means
Oh, man missed a great opportunity with an awesome song by not using the album version... still great reaction Also if you finally make the Psin of Salvation song, "On a Tuesday" look for a studio version, because the live versions out there are not great soundin either. The album, “The passing light of day”, which “On a Tuesday” is the opening track, is probably one of the most, if not the most, painful and personal reflective and introspective pieces of music you’ll ever hear. It is written by the band’s leader, Daniel Gildenlow, he’s the singer and main composer of the band. Back in 2014 he was admitted to hospital with an skin infection which escalated rapidly within hours to be this life threatening situation where he was being eaten alive by a flesh eating bacteria. Yes, it sounds horrendous, and he ended up being in hospital for four months, trying to unsuccessfully fight this bacteria. So this guy, who’s pretty young and fit and had all the “checks” to a long prosperous life suddenly had to face up to his own mortality and to evaluate his relationship with those he loved those around like his children, his parents, his wife and even God and all this stuff that goes through someone's mind when they are deep into such a situation and the album is all about that, so it’s a concept album, written or al least imagined to be written form a hospital bed. BTW, Daniel Gildenlow was born on June 5th 1973, so he was born “On a Tuesday”
Most songs sound better as the album version if you aren't actually really there at a Raw Recording/live performance. Raw Recordings/Live performance recordings usually sound like 💩. Probably better to react to the studio versions for first time reactions and maybe Raw Recordings/live performances if they actually sound good. This song is awesome, the recording makes it sound like a High School talent show cover. I suppose it still sounds better than most Raw Recordings/live performance recordings.
Album version is a great song. Too bad they'll likely never hear that. It's so frustrating people push these versions because they think raw or unpolished is an upgrade.
Totally random comments, but I've been watching you guys for years and (sorry) the guy on the left has ALWAYS reminded me of somebody. I finally figured it out! A Mexican version of the singer of 3 Doors Down!
This is the demo version, check out their other demos, imo (is just my opinion) most of their demos sounds better than the final album version, they're always heavier, rawer and Serj sounds angrier, the guitar sounds crisp and the bass is louder,
I never like when first impressions of a song are of a non-album version. It's not the version I fell in love with. Sure, it's more authentic because it's live, but the song doesn't play the same. The build up that makes this great wasn't as good in the live version. It's a shame live versions aren't watched after the album version. Reaction ruined to the live version, IMO.
Please please please Guys can you Lighten up My Week Can you please please play Tears for Fears- Sowing the seeds of love video Please Guys I would truly appreciate it Thanks ❤
Best job is probably my current job. I’m making more money than I ever have… plus I spend about 90% of my shift in the kitchen by myself, not having to deal with people 👍🏽 No Monday blues for me! I’m on vacation this week 😊
This clip was made before they recorded the studio version
Thanks ! I was about to ask if it was live cause it doesn't sound like the studio version . Crazy I have never seen this or heard the demo .
This is the best way to view it, best added sound, I wish the album version had all the ad lib stuff.
This is the demo version of the song. The studio track is much more polished.
Also I suggest checking out "She's like Heroin" by SOAD, it's one of their lesser liked songs but I think it's really good.
This is REALLY old school System of a Down. Like before i was even born. And I'm 26
You guys could do the studio version. You can notice more of Serj vocals on it. And also the "recently" live version with some techno vibes
Alson it's great that you guys droped this reaction today cause it's the bassist Shavo Odadjian's birthday
It's his birthday. It's on Earth Day.
1st System song I ever heard. Been down with the system ever since.
I love SOAD, but my lord, this is a raw recording
Yes it's the demo version, that's why it's so good, imo that 08:18 is better than the studio version, and the verses, but the studio version still has my fav soad bridge

💯
Damn right....my 2 favorite bands❤❤
They’re more like sludgy hardcore just with unique vocals and nu metal aesthetics/ timing

System of a Down's music changed my whole mindset as a teenager, it showed me how the world really is.
The pits were always insane during this song 🤘
Great song
Good to see you going back with some SOAD, my favoite band of all time and number one pick on metal music, keep rocking on fellas
Early System when they were at their most manic!

Ya I second all that, the studio version is one of System's most epic and perfect sounding songs ever. Serge, the drums, everything is awesomesauce! 🤘
LMFAO talking about country before reacting to SOAD 🤣🤣🤣

My fave System song. An absolute destroyer of a pit
Morning guys! Love system of a down!! Catchin up with you guys!❤️🤓😂
The album version is way better
Understatement of the year. 💯 agree though.
Yeah, but now I know why...it's because for the sound of the video, they mixed the audio of War? from Self-Titled album, War? Demo for Demo Tape n.3 album and also the audio of the live presented in the video

I Like both. Love the Demo for grittier Sound and Andy on the Drums, His Style is very different
It is not
