I'm a muscle car guy and I still think this is cool! Drive what YOU like and that's all that matters. I DID actually have a 2015 GTI that I modded up to 300 whp 340 wtq and it was difficult to keep from spinning and the torque steer was insane....that's the only complaint I had. Great video 👍
And yet people will still hate in this beautiful SUPERCHARGED civic because its a "rice burner" but that does not look riced out to me? That is sleeper status for the win.
Supercharger was my first power mod . Its only been a year since i got my fa5 bought ct supercharger stage 2 waiting till next spring to slap it on and also great setup you have nice work
330whp?! holy shit thats a lot lol i have a 2012 honda civic si CTE supercharged with 3.15" pulley vittuned also. fully bolt-ons but catted dp thats faster than my car ! nice!! :D
+Edgar Rodriguez if you want to keep the character and throttle response of the standard engine, but want more power, then a superchargers the way to go. If you're just going for outright power and don't mind a little lag, then a turbo set up would suit you better. Personally, I prefer the supercharger set up, but it's all down to what you want from your car :)
what are your mods shifting wise? busings? cables? etc ? and how hard is it to go tuning with vit with the supercharger install? cuz you know you go drive it without a tune first and always waiting for the tune cal back
Hybrid racing shifter cable and base bushings, stock shifter, my favorite setup. The day i installed the supercharger I already had my base cal from Vit, i just drove normal until the car was fully tuned.
MinusTwoTonsils wasn't late shifting, I was letting the car actually reach the top speed it is suppose to in first gear since the was no traction, if I were to shift sooner the car would have fell out of its powerband in second gear
Nikolas Obrenovic no issues since install with the motor, been running the same tune from vit for 2.5years now. transmission is the only thing that has gave me issues. feel free to check out other vids on my channel I cover all of these things in detail
NAUS ahh ofcourse. Honda motors take a beating but transmissions can always be an issue. imagine if it was on the stock motor i can imagine with that power...thanks for the reply. Im guessing i will have to fortify the tranny someday if i go this route
Nikolas Obrenovic nope, stock trans is perfectly capable of handling this power level, just don't do anything stupid like I did. and yes the car is stock motor at 98k miles now
***** Im including wheels, tires, header, exhaust, flashpro, suspension, control arms, bushings, engine mounts, etc. in addition to the cost of the supercharger kit. A turbo kit is around 5k, however with all supporting mods its well over 8k
20-26 mpg usually, depends on how much i get on it, i got 17mpg tank since all i did was WOT runs. I think i can still squeeze 30mpg on the highway though
Hope you don't mind me asking more. I'm looking into doing the same build but with a Kraftwerks Rotrex s/c instead. Do you prefer a supercharged setup versus a turbo setup? Sounds like you drive it every day, is the setup reliable? Do you ever have issues with the pulleys, belt or tensioner? How much did it cost for you exact setup, and if you had to go back and do it again would you?
+NAUS very nice setup bro. I really like everything about it. But I guarantee you, that I would beat your car with my 9th gen that has a kraftworks supercharger, and basically the same bolt ons you have, and a stage 1 clutch. It is very reliable for me to drive on a daily basis. Nothing breaks down but my supercharger is better because I get better high end power while your ct provide better low-mid range power. The 9th gens are missing the high end push, while your 8th gen is missing the mid range push. So maybe the CT is a better setup for the 8th gen, but the KW is better for 9th gens. Ive been tunned by VITViper as well. So mine is pushing a little over 360+ to the wheel. So if you live in AZ, lets put them up to the line and ill show you why the K24 motor is better than the K20 motor after you do mods to them. My next upgrade is a fuel pump. I am missing that right now because I have over 360whp.
Igor Gojkovic im in NY lol. And the Kraftwerks kit is a cheap Chinese quality kit. Yes they make more top end power, so what lol. I see something on FB almost everyday of those blower units failing. I went with the CTE kit because i wanted a high quality setup, not chasing numbers
+NAUS last time I checked, KW has been designed by a company that has been in the business for a long long time (skunk2). Yes, I've heard of the blower units failing but I don't have any issues with mine so far. Even if it blows, I have enough money to buy 3 more blower units and keep them in my garage so I can spank every CT-e supercharged si that comes my way. Also, it depends on the tune, if your running an aggressive tune with the KW system, you may have some issue. But if you stay moderate, you will be fine. After you got your after cooler from vit, you spent more money on the setup that will loose to my setup that I payed less for. I like the CTe system, but 280hp wasn't enough for me. Even with the cooler +40hp still not enough and you spent more money than I did. So just respect both products here buddy, all I'm saying is that with the money, the KW will give you more. You may, and only may need to change the blower one time in your life if you have it tuned right.
+NAUS plus you have the 8th Gen civic.... I have a bigger displacement. K24 motor might not rev as high as your k20 does, but my motor can handle a lot more than your can buddy. But still, I think it's a nice car and a nice setup. Don't get me wrong. But when something is better you have to acknowledge it. Your setup might be more reliable, but the KW setup is faster and stronger then the CT-e. ESPECIALLY on a K24 motor.
+NAUS are you hitting 10 PSI on your flashpro map or your boost gauge. I live in high elevation and im losing about 5PSI to 6000ft elevation. I'm only hitting 10 MAP PSI and it's showing 15 on my AEM Boost gauge.
your MAP and boost gauge should both read the same if all is set up properly. Mine both read the same. Are you running the stock MAP sensor? if so its only good to 10psi, wont read any higher, so if thats the case you need a 4 bar MAP sensor
+NAUS I have a 4 bar map sensor, 2.95 BP, and K24 crank pulley with a ported JRSC. According to some of the elevation posts on 8th gen civic your you lose PSI to the thin air at elevation. I read one post where VIT stated that our ECU compensates for elevation causing the different reading between our boost gauge and map psi. Your probably at sea level thats why your gauge matches your boost gauge. Then again I could be wrong but everything I have read leads me to believe that elevation is robbing me by 5psi.
+Eduardo Gutierrez I have never heard of the map sensor changing readout on purpose due to elevation. yes you do make less psi at higher elevations because the air is thinner, but your boost gauge and map should always read the same, they are both reading from the same pocket of pressurized air
Finally a video with no music! Just straight driving and engine sound
Spoken with truth man nicely done
FINALLY another Si driver other than myself that actually keeps the dash in MPH considering we live in the US.
And yet people will still hate in this beautiful SUPERCHARGED civic because its a "rice burner" but that does not look riced out to me? That is sleeper status for the win.
GTFHO
Supercharger was my first power mod . Its only been a year since i got my fa5 bought ct supercharger stage 2 waiting till next spring to slap it on and also great setup you have nice work
Nice I bet its fun. I've always loved that supercharger whine.
Hell yes! Lets see it at the track!
this is such a good setup. not too flashy but fast
Love that whine
Thanks for the vid, I plan on getting this sc for my 9thgen si.
Silly quick man 👍
that's fucking awesome. that super charger looks so mean in there as well man. DAT WHINE.
Sounds amazing
Black Bull !!! show de força... agora acertou!
pure awesomeness
I love your FA5 man, I've been trying to tell myself I don't need to supercharge mine but I want to so bad.
I said the same thing for 4 years until the right deal came along
***** I wouldn't, I payed my car off completely before i started modding it
sounds like a civic from gran turismo, love it
Holy Shaaaatttt!
Can't wait to buy mine
Amazing car.
Beutiful supercharger
Brilliant!
I wanna do this to my 8th gen Si!!
Sweet charger whine
nice car man
You should meet up with TheTongman and get some digs and roll races. That would be cool to see
K20 is a beast engine, the way he was revving ain't going to last with stock internals but still a props for the tuner(:
oh it will last just fine these motors are good for 500hp on stock internals
dayum
nice
How did you get the boost gage set up? It looks super clean on the 8th gen civics and makes it feel a little more like a racecar.
Hello, where did you purchase the dash "flush" mount for both meters? Thx
just out of curiosity why did you go with the ct supercharger instead of the kraftwerks? and if you installed it yourself was it hard to do?
and is it reliable or do you have issues here and there?
bruh thats a sweet ride mine its nothing but stock :(
LOL same :( mine is paid off as well but It's too cold to mod
Where did you get those boost gauges?
Hey Naus...any insight on how you keep your engine bay so clean...good Ole fashion elbow grease?
Just weekly cleaning and detailing
I saw transformation video but mod list?
330whp?! holy shit thats a lot lol i have a 2012 honda civic si CTE supercharged with 3.15" pulley vittuned also. fully bolt-ons but catted dp thats faster than my car ! nice!! :D
Chang Rex I as well drive a ‘12 civic Si sir
what clutch did you go with??
what do you think of the FB6?
The speed increase worth the money? Debating it
I have a 2007 SI but i dont not what is better to put in a turbo or supercharged so what do u guy's think or what is better
+Edgar Rodriguez if you want to keep the character and throttle response of the standard engine, but want more power, then a superchargers the way to go. If you're just going for outright power and don't mind a little lag, then a turbo set up would suit you better. Hi, congrats for your project man. And where did you get this gauge support that you installed on your dashboard? It looks awesome like a stock part.
Hugo Cardoso this is an xlr8 gauge pod
@@NAUS2K AEM makes it also
I wonder if the k24a2, that I'm going to swap in my 8th Gen will make more power. Since it have 10.5:1 compression ratio.
k20z3 has 11:0 CR, 10.5:1 would make less power
***** It will be better that you need k24a 206p engine or k20a 225p
what are your mods shifting wise? busings? cables? etc ?

Hybrid racing shifter cable and base bushings, stock shifter, my favorite setup.
The day i installed the supercharger I already had my base cal from Vit, i just drove normal until the car was fully tuned.
Have you had any issues with transmission at all?
Nvm just found my answer in the rest of the comments lol
NAUS oh nice, some people dont recommend the hr shifter cables cuz they still feel sloppy. How hard is it to install one?
The late shifts were killing me though
MinusTwoTonsils wasn't late shifting, I was letting the car actually reach the top speed it is suppose to in first gear since the was no traction, if I were to shift sooner the car would have fell out of its powerband in second gear
0:38 and 1:41
Exxxtra Bass limiter is set at 8600 man!
Alright! Thanks!
How much horsepower does a turbo charged si have on stock internals?
on e85 i have seen them over 500hp and quite reliable as well with a good tune
Very nice...do u still have your A/C?
yes all the oem luxuries still!
any issues since the install? how is the reliability. I want to do supercharger someday to the stock engine.
Nikolas Obrenovic no issues since install with the motor, been running the same tune from vit for 2.5years now. transmission is the only thing that has gave me issues. feel free to check out other vids on my channel I cover all of these things in detail

Lol, you're going to hurt a lot of feelings.
How is it on gas mpg??
Should'nt be too bad .. if anything it might actually help it since it doesn't have to rev high .. to make power.. under normal driving conditions..
fa5 supercharged jrsc sampling
Goodbye to the motor very soon. Wtf is wrong with not pegging the tach every time?
he was spinning the wheels, a rev limiter is what protects the engine from damage.
civic si fa5 supercharged jrsc kraftwerks
What supercharger is this? Stock internals?
100% stock motor, CTE supercharger
Nice bro, I'm looking into getting the kraftwerks supercharger.
Whats your Shifting mod?
stock with hybrid racing base bushings & cable bushings
How much money have you put into this car and its mods? I absolutely love it! Please tell me, do you plan on selling this car anytime soon?
around $5500 in parts into the car, and everything is for sale for the right price!
What's your base and do you ship?
TeslaTech 16k and no
***** 5500 just for parts? I thought you could get a turbo installed for around 5?
*****
Im including wheels, tires, header, exhaust, flashpro, suspension, control arms, bushings, engine mounts, etc. in addition to the cost of the supercharger kit. A turbo kit is around 5k, however with all supporting mods its well over 8k
You should vs zack attack's fa5
naw vs tongman
LlLnig wouldn't even come close lol
what kind of mileage do you get?
20-26 mpg usually, depends on how much i get on it, i got 17mpg tank since all i did was WOT runs. I think i can still squeeze 30mpg on the highway though
Hope you don't mind me asking more. I'm looking into doing the same build but with a Kraftwerks Rotrex s/c instead.

J37 TB, HR 3.5 intake, Invidia header, full race 3'' exhaust, 1000cc injectors, 3.0'' pulley

Lukas Zerzan well its the same supercharger of course they are going to sound the same
+NAUS I LOL'd to that comment
TMS Ninja you should del your comment L
vit tuned? hahaha what a joke of a tuner
