  • 8th gen civic si with intake, headers, exhaust and a cte supercharger. Even for a stage 1 blower attachment, this car pulls. Most of the power is made up top, so the high redline leaves you smiling every time.

    Miss my fa5 cte! Still have some early vids in my channel. 8 yrs ago nothing touched me w stage 1 full bolt ons, esp up top. Shopping for a clean 8th to do it again! Stay tuned!

    I dont know if you'll see this but do you have the vittuned after cooler ? And if you do do you need that ? Or can you just run off the CTE Supercharger kit

      Its not necessary but the aftercooler will help keep the setup running cooler after multiple pulls. so youll see more consistent and bigger power gains

    Beautiful car!!!! What size motor? 1.8 liter? And do you lose much gas mileage compared to stock set up even if you drive like a slow old woman?

      2.0L mpgs are about the same under normal driving. Hitting boost will lower gas efficiency though

      All depends on your supporting mods. If you are planning on running similar setup like mine, you will average 260 to 270 to the wheels on pump gas. But honestly K-serious have weak transmissions, I blown two transmission in 3 years. It’s time for PPG gears for me.

      CT-E supercharged, for sure. At least that’s what I’m going to do, later on down the road. I’ve owned a 2012 Subaru WRX STi, as well as a 2013 Ford Focus ST, and the turbocharged game just isn’t for me...sure, you can get LOTS of power and torque, but you greatly sacrifice sound, throttle response, and reliability. Not to mention LAG. With a positive-displacement setup (like the CT-E one is), you get max boost in every gear, and even at very low RPM, you can still make quite a bit of power. A turbo on the other hand, requires MUCH more tuning (as well as setup) to get it right, and the response/lag is terrible compared to a supercharger. Since a supercharger (positive displacement) makes it’s boost in a completely linear fashion, and you get max boost in every gear, you’ll always have more power available/on tap and ready to rock than a guy running a turbo setup. Turbos can ultimately yield higher HP setups, but at the cost of reliability and increased headaches.
      For me, the whole reason I keep coming back to Honda (had an ‘02 RSX previously, now drive a ‘10 Civic Si FA5), is the naturally aspirated sounds, the response, the eagerness to rev and REV. A supercharger setup allows you to KEEP what is already amazing about the engine, just vastly improve upon it, with seemingly zero drawbacks.
      Just my three cents!

      Hasanex Mendez for a daily supercharged would be easier. If I just wanted max power from a k24 then turbo would be the way, but it comes at a cost with the trans being a ticking bomb handling all the extra tq

      You can't beat the CTE setup. I have the A/C and I'm running the 2.95" pulley w/ stock crank and making 11-12 psi at redline. It's been a really reliable setup for daily. I had a turbo Lancer for a while and that was a nightmare I could never turbo a daily again after that.

      It made 276 on pump gas. No aftercooler only at 5 pounds of boost.

    Have you ever driven a stock r18? lol, no. a normal "civic" doesn't feel nor sound like that.. and that thing u call "vtec" is removed with a "WHINE" lol. WTF happen to the crossover??!? lol still seems slow.

      I drove a stock r18 on the way to record this video. What I refer to as "normal" is driving a stock si of the same generation (which is not far from a r18 considering its the same body/interior)
