This works. I dissolve the epsom salts in water first. A little goes a long way, rather start off with too little, you can always give a little more after about 2 weeks
I live in Missouri and I have a big garden every year and I get an enormous yield, especially of tomatoes, from using Epsom salts. Been doing it for years!
Uts great for outdoor plants it can be bad for house plants though espicaly the type she jist put it on the leaves are goimg yellow because she needs to be puting water on it twice a week and spraying it every other day with water i have the same plant
I definitely will try this Epsom salt trick with a few plants. I just recently did a complete plant re pot and new soil to all of my house plants and I have noticed there are a few that look slumpy. I will give this a go. Thank you for the idea. Now let me check out that penny video of yours!
@@dannypaul2583 I feel your pain… I first tried this in a small garden area…same thing: OH, If a little is good then More is better…. NOPE! That’s why I put the WARNING comment, for newbies with Epsom salts…. Sorry for your bad experience 🥺🥺🥺
Hi Andrea. Can you use Epsom salt on any outdoor plant, or only acid loving plants? I have a Nandina and a penstemon that are looking sad and I want to help them before winter sets in.
Do you have a good recommendation for where to put outdoor plants for the winter?? I live in an area that does get chilly nights & frost but we do not get snow. I cannot stand bring all these plants in the house I just don't have the room and they don't look nice inside. Thank you!!
Do you have room for plants in a spare room in your house❓I will squeeze as many as I can into one room and add plant light bulbs to the lamps and burn them 12 hours a day. If you get LED full spectrum grow lights your electric bill won’t sky rocket. I put my large plants in the garage. Once December arrives I will park my car outside to prepare for wintering my plants. I live in Houston and we only get freezes every now and then…… last year was a major freeze fluke.
In CALIFORNIA I used to set them against the wall where I will got the best wall and still got some sun 🌞 my plants survived. Certain days there will be frost then covered with the bed 🛌 sheet then cover with big plastic trash 🗑 bags
I eventually want to get a bookshelf with wheels on it for easy moving. Right now mine are all on the kitchen floor on boot trays. So when I water them I have a catch tray.
The better way wouppd be to weigh it out and stir it into the water. Plants also can get calcium deficiency from Magnesium, so have calcium fertilizer at hand. Just in Case
Half a cup of Epsom salts, dissolved in 8-10 litres of water, poured over your camellia plant a couple of times per year, will promote excellent blooms and lots of them.
If that is a peace lilly and it looks like one its leaves are just asking u to spray them the top ones do die before the new ones grow in at the bottom ur adding salt and long term its not good for any plant i did horticoltire and argrculture
Efsomsalts worked very well for me for indoor plants. Specially worked very well for lucky bamboo, zz plants. And rashenas. But I mixed it in water. For haft of litter 1 coffee spoon of Efsomsalts. If you use too much the leaves 🍃 will burned. You must mixed in water. Unless you use out door and water alot after that. On other indoor plants 🪴 I'm not sure I should use it can easily get burned.
@@princessyoung1858 I used Epsomsalt best for lucky bamboo. It's like miracle. Very little in zz plants. On draccenas it got some burned 🔥 but if you used less than what you would used in lucky than I'll ok. I used it in croutons. The leaves 🍃 will turn too black red. And dulled it took a way the natural lustrous of the leaves. So I stopped used on croton. Epsomsalt won't work for all plants. Do some testing before kill the plants 🪴 on zz plants the leaves turned dark green. But it's ok on draccenas depending on which one. But I used Very little on draccenas. They are ok 👍 👌 just a little tip hope It's helping.

Yes I have...and it's awesome. It gives them that "sparkle" that they are missing.
I’ve only used on tomato and pepper plants out in the garden. Will have to try on my indoor plants for sure!

I have not used it, but I will now.
I use it for my water plants for months already. So far, they look healthy.
How much would you put in for a water plant
@@patriciawatson1313 tiny pinch would be my guess.
Epsom salt will try this!!! Thanks Andrea. Joan Bates ❤ ❤ ❤
Hi Andrea! Thank you for sharing.
It's worth a try, I think.
I haven't but I'm going to give it a try!
Yes. It works… just DONT overdo it, or it can kill them. A LITTLE BIT is all you need.
1st time I tried this idea I used extra ( I think more is better ) and I killed tomatoes in 2 days and ruined soil long term ughh

Love your nails. Great points!
it is a pH down, it bring the soil toward a pH they need to thrive.
I have to confess… I looked at that too quickly, and thought it read “See what happens when you add Epsom salts to your pants!”😳😂
Me too! 🤣🤣🤣
Bwaahaahaah!! Cant stop laughing!

Is Epsom salt good for every plant 🪴
Can I use this in my herb plants, like basil?

Thanks for sharing. Do you have a cleaning for urine smell and stains. Husband have dementia and keeps peeing in unusual places. Thanks in advance.
Ozone generator will produce ozone which will rid of urine smell.
Liquid ammonia works wonders.
I used 1/4 cup per gallon of water for clean the house or laundry. I looked after my mom. ):
White vinegar and good for cat pee smell removal.
