Less an upgrade more a reversion to his true potential, what happened with Toga was a genuine surprise as her quirk evolved/developed. What happened with Twice is different

@@garden_trowel3475 it’s why I said reversion to his true potential, he always had the potential to do that and clearly knew he could technically make more than 2 clones (as each clone could also make 2 clones) as seen by his past but limited himself due to his mental instability. It’s why the MLF wanted him and why Giren knew they were fucked when he said he’d moved past his trauma, again because they knew what he could potentially do. The league giving him a boost is more about helping him get past his mental blocks rather than actually upgrading or developing his quirk

Twice’s quirk has no limits literally. He is too broken so thats why Horikoshi wrote him the way he did. Twice’s only limiter is his mental state
He has limits, he can’t replicate things he doesn’t understand or things he doesn’t know the measurements for, also the low durability of the clones . But yes the strength of his quirk greatly outweighs those limits
@@dre27321 And he can only create up to two doubles at once, so either two of one thing or one each of two different things, and then he's done until one of them breaks - unless he's willing to make doubles of himself, who then have separate instances of his quirk.

Twice was always really powerful, he was shackled by his trauma. Now he's been freed of his shackles and he fights to protect his friends. I always love when villains care about each other. And Shigaraki threatening the Liberation Army for messing with Twice's emotions is oddly wholesome. They've all grown close together over time. Well, aside from maybe Dabi. But Dabi's like the edgy older brother of the group so that's fine.

15:20 you missed the point, the concept of a "quirk" was misused by the government to oppress the people and create laws to prevent the usage of "quirks." As in the context is that a quirk is something additional to a person. Whereby the libration front argument is that a person abilities are Inherent to them and are a part of their identity thus banning a person's "quirk" ability is against the individual's human rights.

Not so much his backstory but his character arc pretty much got gutted. I'll never forgive them for that. That scene with Shigi at the start of the arc is so good and he's was supposed to be narrating at the beginning too. All cut out. =/

Most of the laws relating to quirks were made when quirks first showed up and not many people had them. The laws were meant to limit the use of quirks to protect the majority of the population(quirkless) from this small minority of potentially dangerous people(people with quirks).
Despite the fact that enough time has passed for people with quirks to make up 80% of the world population, the laws still seem to be made with limiting people from using their quirks in mind. Look at the stain fight. Even if it's self-defense against a known sereal killer, harming someone else with your quirk is illegal if you don't have a hero license. The law wouldn't allow Deku and Shoto to save Iida if it meant harming stain.
Using a quirk in self defense is allowed, it's one of the only times it is. The Stain situation became a problem because they were heroes in training, who have much stricter rules and regulations than normal people do. They were in trouble because "Those who aren't qualified yet might harm others through the use of their quirks, without the direction of their supervisors" (That law obviously needs a revision, normal citizens would not have gotten in trouble but U.A students would have.) This was also the case in season 3, Aizawa had to give them permission as their supervisor to fight back against the villains, or they would have gotten in trouble too.

Only in Japan as far as we know. The USA allows it according to MHA Vigilantes, which is one of the reasons why All Might was sent to the States after Nana's murder. No AfO, no "hero commission" bureaucracy, far less restrictions on quirks.
I don't think he meant that quirks weren't natural when he said "They thought it was natural", I'm pretty sure that's in contrast to people who didn't like quirks and thought of them as monsters like "Quirks are as natural as eating and sleeping!"

Actually a great example is when you are fluent in a language but aren’t allowed to use it for work unless you spend a bunch of money to get a certificate to “prove” it. That’s always annoying. The same thing happens to their quirks in this world, except quirks are literally part of their identities.
Except people can murder tons of civilians with their quirks in seconds.
That's not quite it. Quirks are an intrinsic part of someone. Imagine if Bakugou or Yaoyorozu weren't allowed to use their quirks; how would they feel about it? Why? It's kinda like someone dictating how you should dress.

It's a government-required repression of a part of one's self. If the Bakugou example is way too easy to rebuke, let's circle back to Yaoyorozu, or Ashido or even Hawks or Midoriya. What if they were to lose their quirks and how would they feel about it? It's reasonable to assume they wouldn't like it, and for reasons more complex than that they'd be "less powerful".
As MHA has presented us its world, it's only reasonable that regulations are in place for quirk use. You can't have 15 speed-type quirks all rushing in the streets to get to their jobs; yet the fact that it's represive still remains. It's just a bad and wishy-washy solution. The government, when it created those laws, just wanted to cling to the previous status quo - something impossible - and now it's all come rushing back.
@@CDexie I get your point that MHA quirk laws are in dire need of an update and don't represent the modem need, but your points aren't exactly backing up your argument effectively.
Do you really think regulating public quirk use is equivalent to taking away someone's quirk? Most people aren't suffering greatly because they can't use their quirk out in the street or within the mass public. And even with these laws in place, do you really think people are never using their quirks and just have to completely shut them away and repress them? If that were the case, most of Class 1-A wouldn't be nearly as proficient in their quirks as they were in the beginning of the series. We've seen Ashido use her acid for mobility since essentially her first appearance. With how comfortable she is doing this, do you really think she'd never done that before she got to U.A.? Lets even take Bakugo as an example. How the hell do you think he trained his quirk to be as precise or controlled as it is if he's supposedly being constantly repressed by these quirk laws? My headcanon is that there are privately owned places that allow people to use their quirk's freely and train them, like quirk gyms or something. Even if there isn't, a lot of these kids, even with destructive quirks like Bakugo and Ashido, have managed to have good control of their quirk while being under these current laws, implying that they've been able to use it somewhat freely aside from in hugely public places. I'm sure it's even easier for those with non-threatening quirks, and I'd even guess that most outside from the authorities would give them a pass for using their quirks. And this isn't even taking into account the rich and privileged like Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, and Iida, who's families have enough money and resources to circumvent these problems almost completely aside from, again, mass public areas. All in all, most people aren't being repressed to the point that they're losing part of themselves because of quirk regulation, so I don't see how that in itself is damaging anyone.

They skipped the part of the manga where it is revealed Twice was only hired because he can basically create endless slave workers for just one wage. His boss was really scummy.

6:49 Twice can't create more than one copy of someone but he *can* copy their quirk (when he made the copy of Dabi that fought Eraserhead at the Training Camp) and since the copies *of himself* haven't created anything they can create another copy of themselves in a potentially *infinite* loop. Twice 1 creates Twice 2, Twice 2 creates Twice 3, Twice 3 creates Twice 4 ad infinitum. You literally see it happen on the screen as the copies spring forth from each other.
Small correction, each Twice can make two clones, not one, which is why the Twice swarm grows so quickly, and also how he could clone the entire league up in the tower, by having each clone make one Twice + an additional league member.

In the begining people without Quirks, opposed to people with Quirks, that's how the mother of the name Quirks died.
Only 20% of the world is quirkless now but back in the day it wasn't like that, even all might said that when he was a kid (which was like 40 years or 30 years ago)being Quirkless wasn't that rare.
All Might is 49, so depending on what you consider a "kid"...

Technically power of 3 manifest since every Twice can create two doubles. So one becomes 3, 3 become 9.
@@EskChan19 Well I mean if we're going to be technical, it is actually a geometric sequence with the ratio being two. So the first Twice creates 2 more, 1+2. Then the next two Twices create another 2 each. So it becomes 1+2+4, and then 1+2+4+8. So the numbers would actually go something like 1, 3, 7, 15, etc. I'm pretty sure after after Twice makes 2 copies he can't make another two, so it wouldn't become 9 because the original can't make another set of 2

You guys are shitting on this opening but you have to understand that the singer is not native in English so their pronunciation will not be perfect and they won't use complex words. its like asking you guys to sing in Japanese and then making fun of you for not being able to pronounce every word and using simple language.
If somebody asked me to sing in Japanese then I just wouldn't do it cause I know it'd sound bad. Mind you, this is not to say that we should shame people for not being fluent in a language that's not their native tongue, not at all. Heck, English is not my first language and I often have to repeat myself when I'm talking to a native speaker because my pronunciation leaves a lot to be desired. But this is an official song for a TV show, a product made for sales, and as such it is subject to criticism, especially when it's just another case of "let's just use english cause it sounds cool" which is so prevalent in Japanese media.

I mean, all you have to do in dub is to have the ability to listen and process information. Plus, the sub for this episode was moving quickly, so it was hard to pay attention to what was visually being displayed in the action scenes, especially the clone Shigaraki vs Re-Destro action scene. I watch sub for MHA as I can't wait for the dub. I don't exactly prefer either but this episode is not a good example of why "sub is better" especially if the crew missed what was clearly stated in english so clarity wasn't the issue here as much as it was lack of comprehension of a clearly stated message. I know it's your opinion that sub is better and that's fine too.
No, no "well sub was more clear" for this, My Hero has layers but is not that hard to understand; it's just that Normies are terrible at picking up information. In My Hero, almost everything is mention more than once, and this episode was completely clear in the Dub.

This arc is amazing, but unfortunately in the anime cut out a lot of things and switched the order of other things, so if you guys want a better understanding of what happened this season I suggest you read the manga. I really respect the animators, but the guys behind the script should have done exactly what the manga did, it was so well done and here in the anime it got confusing in my opinion.

I disagree, the reason the manga order worked on the manga, was because it's a week to week medium. but then you translate that to a serialized anime medium and suddenly you have to take into account how exciting a season will be. and if we kept the original order of the manga, the season would have had an incredibly exciting start, but then it would start to decay a little bit and then end on a very unsatisfactory point to end. with us just waiting for something AS exciting as this battle is. This change might make things a bit confusing, but it works much better as a SEASON, since it keeps building up to the climax right at the end of the season.
I watched each episode in the anime first and then read the chapters in the manga, and I think they adapted the MOST essential parts for the story going forward, and I think the parts we got were adapted pretty well (I personally had no problems with the animation or art at any point).
@@twichytail I think it would have worked both ways, like you said the way they did works better for television because they want to end with a bang, but if they followed the manga it would have ended with Aizawa and Kurogiri’s episode that is pretty emotional too, but that’s just my opinion, in the end I’m really happy they even started watching this lol

The woman is known as the Mother of Quirks because she coined the term quirks. They were known as meta abilities before then. She was not the mother of the first person with a quirk and I suspect they were already around for a while by then, but still in the minority.
I had heard a fan theory that the light that glowing baby gave off caused people to ether develop quirks or go onto have children who developed quirks. Unaware of this fact the child traveled around the world showing off their ability. This could of been what caused the first generation of quirks.
Hearing the league of villain theme in the new score was so nostalgic. I love it!

Imagine a "Sad Man's Parade" of Shigaraki's. The number that twice created this episode was beyond the number of people in the liberation army and that was done in seconds. overwhelming the opposition and Twice's doubles can use the quirks of the original double as well as Twice's doubling power. I kid you not, I'm happy if anyone else has a character in mind who is more broken than twice in this show besides All for One, One for All and their successors

To be honest MLA goals more understanble than LOV,their backstory seems to be better but the anime should(I have not read manga) have emphasised them on more,their story is going to be more impactful to the world(they want change the whole society system) then the shigaraki(which is just to destroy the world),MLA had more potential but unfortunately they are only used in this arc as stepping stone and power upgrade for lov,that's not right.
Also there is 20% human population,there should have been some arc and story exploring the humans of UA. We can have a movements of humans just like the MLA,We can have a human leader or human villian which is against quirk altogether,they should have really explorer that
MLA and the LOV have very similar goals. The LOV wanted to destroy hero society and reshape it in their own vision, now Shigaraki wants to just destroy society and let people do whatever they want after. Letting people do whatever they want is exactly what MLA is all about.

@@kashutosh9132 There is no regular human villain against quirks as far as I know, all of the future villains from now to the manga have quirks. The villain in the 3rd movie has a quirk, but wants all quirks eradicated though.

The Doctor has a limited control over Gigantomachia, but its more like cause and effect. Even Shigaraki figured out he could easily get him to attack the city by luring him there. Not hard as the guy will chase after him where ever he goes. He could summon him by setting a remote controlled bomb next to him with enough force to wake him up, at which point he will locate Shigaraki and run after him.
