Makes sense with his character have an inferiority complex from being told his quirk is useless by itself his whole life. Very cool to see his freak out directed at the villains
From the first attack at UA, we learn that Erasure doesn't work against physical mutation type quirks, like Tokoyami being a bird. He could stop his use of dark shadow, but he wouldn't change to having a human face. Shigaraki is just growing physical body parts, more as a mutation and not just a triggered quirk, something erasure can't stop.
@@TheAnon252 except that we have never seen any kind of physical mutation quirk cause a sudden rapid growth purely off of being a physical mutation alone. The closest would be Shoji's arms. We know that while Aizawa can't erase a physical quirk, he can keep it from doing anything else related to its quirk. It's reasonable to believe that Shoji wouldnt be able to actually produce new limbs under erasure, so the same logic should extend to Shigiraki. The reason it doesn't work like that though is because Shigiraki's mutation is not from a quirk at all, but his body's reaction to holding so many quirks at once.
@zuralani1 yea we haven't seen any mutation quirk cause spontaneous growth. But the quirks have to caused a change at some point. And we know through OFAs backstory that he can revert people from being heteromorphs, those being undesirable quirks were part of why he was able to build a following in the first place. Taking those from people that didn't want them and giving people that did want quirks abilities. We didn't need to know that shigaraki was mutating specifically because of quirk singularity to find a reason erasure wasn't stopping him. I only even commented because they'd clearly forgotten that erasure doesn't affect mutations. They were talking amongst themselves about whether erasure can only affect one quirk at a time when we've seen him shut down groups of people at once.
Monoma reminds me of Loki, he has to presents in a way the people see him but right under the surface he wants to be prove everyone wrong and do the right thing but also wants to keep up the illusion
The heroes are operating like an ant colony. Every person from the major to the minor has a pivotal role. If one of them faltered or wasn’t there then the whole plan falls apart. Very poignant moment when Monoma is able to become “the star” after being plagued with being a minor character since childhood. Using him to use Kurogiri’s Warp Gate and Aizawa’s Erasure (shout out to best boy Manual with the Visine quirk 😏) were such sensible ideas. And glad to see Shinso has strengthened his quirk. He can be such a clutch member of a team if they use his quirk strategically. He can really shine in this kind of environment. Momo and Kaminari (also Manga) were also coming in clutch with constantly repairing the Coffin in the Sky and powering up the electromagnetic barrier. Even Lunch Rush is seen feeding Momo to keep fueling her quirk. And all of this is thanks to Hatsume’s idea to make U.A. float combined with Nezu’s Anti-Decay measures. Teamwork makes the dream work! Also I am super excited to witness the Great Agni Kai of the Todoroki brothers 🥳. Zuko and Azula would be so proud 🥲. This has really become the story of how they all became heroes.
As someone who has been a massive Monoma fan every since he was introduced, this stuff was so PEAK for me. I remember being kinda disappointed that Monoma was introduced as this super calm and super intelligent guy and then very quickly became more like a gag in every instance after his appearance. But then one day Hori made a comment that Monoma and Shinsou would have big moments in the future. So I waited. And this did NOT disappoint. Monoma warps the heroes in, splits the villains up, hops over to Aizawa and then IMMEDIATELY has Shigaraki on lockdown. MVP Monoma for the win. I get it. Everyone is playing their part in this. But like, if Monoma wasn't here, Shigaraki could literally just insta-decay the battlefield and all of this planning wouldn't matter. I'm sure some people will come around to him after this episode. But as someone who's been a fan of his since the beginning, this episode was especially rewarding. He's the star. Now then, that's enough Monoma analysis. Time for the others. Toga snatched Deku and threw a huge wrench in the entire operation. AFO roasting Endeavor for once again looking away from Touya and forcing the burden onto Shoto is definitely something. AFO seemingly was about to use a massive decay wave but Shigaraki seemed to stop him. Reason being, Dabi had already leapt out in front of him. So if AFO decayed everything in front of him, Dabi would've likely been caught in the crossfire. Now, despite AFO clearly being in control at the start of the battle, Shigaraki makes that comment at the end about thinking that he used to think Aizawa was cool but right now he's just a letdown. That obviously isn't AFO. Shigaraki is the only one who's ever thought Erasurehead was cool. As he said in S1 and 6. The line between AFO and Shigaraki has become so blurred that it feels like either one can step into the drivers seat at a moments notice. Despite that, there's still some resistance from Shigaraki's side(as we saw when he stopped the decay wave). Monoma pulled the strings. And now the battles are about to begin.
To put it simply, if Aizawa looks at Spinner, Spinner wont stop looking like a lizard. Same applies to Shigaraki´s new power since it seemingly is built in his body (like e.g. Shoji has multiple hands), it cannot be erased. Hope this helps guys, and thanks for the fun reaction!!
That being said from my understanding it would stop spinner being able to stick to walls. The example they gave in season 4 is tail man can’t move his tail when aizawa is using his quirk on him.
It's not a quirk, it is a physical adaptation of Shigaraki's body to better use his quirks. For example, if your quirk was to capture radio signals, you would get an antenna. Aizawa can't delete the antenna
They dont say it in the anime but Aizawa came up with this plan because of the very first attack from the League of Villains. At the end of S1 the League used Kurogiri to show up all at once, then used him to separate class 1A into different areas since taking them all on in the same place was too risky. Aizawa has Monoma do the same thing here, use Kurogiri's quirk to have a bunch of heroes show up and then split the League to different battlefields where the heroes have as much advantage in matchups and location as they can get.
Shigaraki's monster fingers form is not a Quirk it's part of his body like Superstrength and durability It's what makes him terrifying without Powers The Quirk Singularity when Quirks are getting more powerful and more Complex over the generations Shigaraki's new form represents that
The author Horikoshi just finished this arc and the manga has gone on a hiatus but it's not over. He plans to continue the story. Each episode covers about 2-3 chapters of the manga so this might be the last season of the arc but not of the story.
*After the first war, I do think a solid plan would have to be in order. And thanks to Shinso and Monoma, the plan began super well! Well, aside from Toga. But I do think the plan to isolate the villains is a good one, especially after how the first war’s plan ended up turning out.*
Monoma might be a candidate for the best side kick or has the potential to be a top ten hero. Imagine him having an agency of heroes he can copy from. It’d be interesting to see what his quirk awakening would be. Like maybe he gets to keep a copied quirk indefinitely until he switches, or he can copy multiple at once.
Shigaraki isn't using a quirk. Those finger things is something beyond the quirk doomsday theory. It's similar to how he has all might level strength naturally. He evolved in an unnatural way beyond simply quirks, which all the times we have seen him fight it's been mentioned his evolution wasn't complete yet
It's funny how Monoma wanted so desperately to be seen as a main character type of person because I've seen and read so many anime and manga where the main characters have the exact same power or ability to copy or steal another's power or ability. It's even limited in some way to keep them from being too overpowered at first.
The manga already reach the end, at the last chapter will be on 31 July/1 august. And this season only 21 episode, so there might Highly eight season in future ( might end with 12 or 13 episodes tho)
I’m glade that Monoma finally got his moment. Back in the training camp when the villains attack, they didn’t have him do anything. And when he fought Deku, he only had shit quirks to work with. So I’m glade he actually got to copy some good quirks this time.
I know it's a long shot but when toga has the wire around her finger and deku and it's usually filled with blood, does that make it her own version of red thread of fate
Marketa… there are no spoilers left in the opening, and Shigaraki couldn’t have stolen Muscular’s quirk, because all of his quirks are being suppressed by Monoma/Aizawa.
Honestly for the remainder of the season you need to have most of the couch there, even if takes a bit more time. Its non stop big fights from here on out
There’s something to be said about trusting your pals but really no one else knows what she’s talking about for spoilers in the intro. lol. You’ll rather trust her than people who are 4 chapters away aka 2 eps anime wise from the ending of the entire series when they said no spoilers 😂

It's funny that you thought they'd remember Crust. You'd think that the hero that saved Eraserhead would be remembered, but apparently not. Also, apparently the character in this episode isn't Crust, but his brother. At least that's what I've seen in another comment about this episode.
@@mhgooner9546 he was trying to break the armor to get to the weak point hawk can't do anything to the rest of his body it's to strong why he doesn't have anything on it he doesn't need anything
For the thousandth time people anime time =\= real time. Deku is still a 130 lb kid no matter his strength. He was pulled like someone grabbing your arm and it was animated slow it happened in like a second. He was caught off guard and his powers don’t work for her. Anime talking is a free action otherwise animators have to animate too much. Unlike real life. In the manga it was instantly.
@@dx-dragon4399 but what would he push off of. It's like the homelander lifting a plane debate, he was already in the air and again no danger sense. Float just makes you float you have to push off using something. By the time he's lifted in the air he's already pulled through in a second. He wasnt expecting her to pull him. I don't know how else i can explain it. He is strong but his body is tiny and she has the strength to pull him. Its like people mad that the rock can get tripped and fall forward, he's too strong to get tripped they'd say he should react and stop himself with muscles but once your in the air tripping forward your muscles dont matter for a few secs if you cant push off against something. Deku is also tiny no matter his strength he's in the air, pulled without time to react and that's a fact. His danger sense doesnt work on toga.
@@dx-dragon4399 again your mistaking time in anime for time to react. In films it seems like your the type that thinks car is coming why didn’t the person jump out the way. Usain Bolt can move down 100 meters in 10 seconds easy. 10 meters in like 1. If a car was coming and he was surprised by it stepping to one side wouldn’t be easy pie. People take time to react it was in real time a snatch and in portal. The anime just added that to give you time to process it and cause anime’s always draw out crap. Gotta give animators a break. If anime functioned in proper pacing it would actually feel off. Ever watched hxh in real time UA-cam cut. lol. Flicking his fingers or black wiping still follows under the assumption he wasn’t taken by surprise. Doing isn’t in the fraction of time she scooped him while he was processing what touched him. If it wasn’t giving off danger sense you don’t immediately think this is a for go nuts. He could injure his teammates. Deku is still human so he needs to process things if his danger sense doesn’t work. Even spiderman with spider precognition gets hit in comics by somewhat normal people.
@@dx-dragon4399 again you keep saying that girl is just a teen girl but she’s a well made fighter. We’ve seen her throw adult humans bigger than her she obviously gets the basic I’m a good fighter and strengthened trait series always hand out to people with powers that aren’t always viable. Classic trope. Akin to how Harley Quinn can still hurt and fight Batman. Your bringing weird logic into a series where bakugo is human but can be hit by all might in training and slam into concrete and not break his limbs. The people in my hero are just powerful at base like most anime. I do wish they explained why the humans survive huge damage how lemillion can punch shigarki and not burst his fingers as if punching a wall. But ehh. Bakugou if I recall was angled so he could see and let’s face it he pays close attention to deku😂and it was again dramatic flair comic wise these things were all single panels but animated it’s like their happening at different timing. You don’t have to accept it. But I think it all wasn’t so bad. hori needed to separate them and give time for the dramatic Goku saves the day tension so I don’t mind. No spoilers. But yeah maybe he should have made it simple and had the portal under his feet. Idk. 🤷♀️
@@dx-dragon4399 it’s also just a thing you gotta accept like suspending disbelief. Like how Batman in an ep of the cartoons dodged point blank bullet fire up close. Yet people are fast enough to hit him in the face. Superman gets judo thrown by Batman across a room in the cartoons. People in one piece can survive getting the light guys foot to the face. It takes infinite energy to get to the point his kick impacts you going light speed. We’re to assume it’s not light speed. People in Star Wars block lasers. Fair enough they have powers to guess where it will go but their human like bodies should break moving to block it moving at them so fast. Unless they’re using the force to speed up but then why not just super speed away. It comes down to what you said the plot needs him separated and what I’m handwaving it as aka he was surprised, he’s strong but light, he had nothing to push off of while in the air and not enough time or confirmation it was an enemy to use his stronger powers and old anime animation timing like when that girl in jjk was slapped and people said why didn’t she move. She couldn’t see (manga explained it and anime left it out) but also it’s supposed to be real time fast and little time to react. I don’t think deku has super reaction maybe I missed that so if that’s correct than I see your point. He dodged gunfire in the movies but he was looking in said direction not caught off guard.
There is not a spoiler in the intro. Marketa is losing her mind over a random connection she's made in her head. I went back and rewatched the original video where she first thought she saw something, and it's only because of something Chris said that she thinks she knows what's going to happen. She's massively overreacting to a single moment that is not in any way a spoiler.

They really shoulda just teleported the villains to the inside of an active volcano 😂
Yeah thats smart although I don’t think that would stop afo, Dabi, or Shigaraki. They’d still have to deal with them.
@@paulbrown9328still would get rid of so many others true the strongest ones would not work not the would than fight 10 not 200
Please reaction "kiss of the dragon"🐲🐲🐲🐲
Where Is kaiju no. 8 episode 11 reaction 🙂
There is not a spoiler in the intro. Marketa is losing her mind over a random connection she's made in her head. I went back and rewatched the original video where she first thought she saw something, and it's only because of something Chris said that she thinks she knows what's going to happen. She's massively overreacting to a single moment that is not in any way a spoiler.
true idk why shes freaking out
The parallel between MHA final war(floating coffin) and Naruto Ninja War seems to come up a lot now. I’m of the opinion Naruto handled it slightly better, but MHA still did a few hype moments of its own.
Jujutsu Kaisen and My Hero Academia with the creepy hand fetish! Eww
That’s the point, isn’t it? It’s creepy.
It sounds so lame In dub
In what ways?
