Oh my goodness I had that happen to me where it didn't cure properly. I was so upset. I really don't know if I didn't measure correctly or if I did not mix long enough. Either way that is so frustrating!!! For this particular earring/pendant it doesn't matter if you get the best resin or even the resin I used in the video. Those are absolutely beautiful!!! I want to make them I’m ordering an earring mode but I want to use a Uv light can I use that if I use the already mixed resin?
I have Enjoyed being able to do both uv resin and epoxy. They both have their pros and cons to each of them. Just recently I did a project where I used them both to make one piece. I think you will like using the epoxy resin. Awww 🥰 thank you so much for that compliment about my channel
What a great video! Further inspiring is your prayer, I really appreciate it! As a total noob, I'm struggling to find the right stuff- could you plz tell me what mask you use?
You are not a noob at all. It is hard when you are first starting to know what you need. My husband had to run out and get me a mask because I didn't know what I needed. I looked at my mask and saw that it is an N95 mask. Make sure also you are in a well ventilated space. If you can have a window open. It was 100 degrees out side yesterday so I couldn't open my windows but when night came and it cooled down I made sure I had the window open to air out more fumes. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask.
This video is very detailed with the beginning part which is very helpful. But are there anyway i could know how do you dry them/ without bubbles etc. I have been watching some videos of people using some fire tools to dry them etc. Since i don't have them i am looking for a convenient video. Do you use anything to dry and get rid of bubbles?
Wow I love that you pray over us,I too am a prayer 🙏 and I plan on praying over each of my resin pieces, for the people that receive them, the same as I smile when walking into a store, and I tell the cashier and those around me to have a blessed day 🙏 😊 when I was a greeter at church, the Lord told me to smile and greet them as they come in,and bless them as they go,the enemy cannot touch a blessed person 😊
I am sure you can. But you can’t have the white as deep of white because the Light won’t penetrate the uv resin and it won’t cure properly. But you can still do the concept but it would have to be done slightly different
Yes yes a tooth pick!!! 😁 Expect you have to be careful when you have a mold because you don’t want to scratch your mold with your tooth pick but yes I totally agree. Thank you for taking the time to comment and share.
I've been making resin art for years, but just getting into making earrings. I watched thinking you would show the whole process. Including adding the hooks etc. As that the only part I need to learn. And you didn't show it 😂😂😂. Loved the video though . Your very easy to listen to & understand . Hello from New Zealand
Hahaha I don’t show in all my videos that part but I do believe in this video I did ua-cam.com/video/6ZFuyh6HwtQ/v-deo.html So glad you liked the video any way. 😂😂😂
I ❤ your video and had to watch it twice I have a question, what size of jump ring did you use . I might have ordered the wrong ones cause, they don't fit 😔
I believe I get 10mm. There is a 3 size pack jump ring at Walmart and I use the biggest in that pack. They don’t say the size but when I measure the ring it looks to be 10mm
Yes you decide which one you want to use. Sometimes you can use either one and they will both work other times certain techniques won’t work for both. There are pros and cons to uv Resin and epoxy resin
With the clear and gold flakes yes but you can’t have as deep of white because the uv light won’t penetrate through the UV resin. You can’t color the same with epoxy resin as you can with UV resin. You have to not color as much or as saturated with UV or it doesn’t cure aka dry properly. Does that help 😁
I like ear rings half that size but can't find the molds, any suggestions? Love ovals, just not that size, I like 'em petite - by the way - those are gorgeous! 😍
Wow these are great. Thanks for the video. I'm a newbie and the few prices iv tried so far (uva resin) I find them really tacky and I always spoil them with my finger prints when i un mold them.. do you have a technique you use to stop this plz..also I find the few I have attempted have been sharp once dried ..do I need to sand them and if so how do I do this without dulling them further..sorry for all the questions.. ps your bubbly personality makes this video fun to watch..
So UV Resin you need to put the light on the front where you are working and once you do that you need to flip your piece over and put the light on the back or it will be tacky. The light can't penetrate all the way through and you need to put it under the light on the back side (which technically is the front side hahaha) Also you can't color uv resin like you do epoxy. Epoxy you can put as much color as you want but with uv resin they have to be a bit transparent so the light can go through all of it. And all color agents you can use with Epoxy doesn't mix well with uv at times. Hahah I have had many mistakes trying to color the same way i do with Epoxy as I do with resin. Does that make sense? Yes they are sharp and you will need to get a sand paper but just do the edges. Don't sandpaper the whole side just the edges. Does that make sense. Oh I am so glad my video was enjoyable. That makes me so happy to hear. if you have any questions please feel free to ask. In the next couple of weeks I am about to put out both epoxy and UV resin videos. So they will hopefully be able to help you as well.
You can’t do anything about it when it dries but here are some tips and tricks to help get rid of bubbles in the process of making them Do This to Get Rid of Bubbles In Epoxy Resin Pieces ua-cam.com/video/qnYOeMUv7hg/v-deo.html
Hello sweet lady. You said strings. So I wanted to clarify. Do you mean how did I put the earring hooks on the tear drops. Or how did I put the lines of gold on the tear drops? Can you clarify. I would love to answer your question ❤️
This is two part epoxy resin not uv resin. So you mix the two parts together and do what you want with it, place in mold and wait 24 hours. UV resin you placed under the light and wait minutes
Rumor has it that all resin pieces Yellow over time. Truth is I don’t know the answer to your question or if some companies Resin doesn’t Yellow and others do. Jdiction claims their resin does NOT yellow. We will see.
I have no idea. I am happy to do resin with jewelry because I don’t have to worry about that stuff. I don’t know. People make tumblers all the time out of Resin to drink out of. But at the end of the day I don’t know. .
There are really big jump rings you can find. I have gotten some in resin making kits. So look for even bigger jump rings than a 10mm Like this amzn.to/42oIusz Or maybe this amzn.to/3MSLNSO This are maybes because I don’t know how think your piece is. But there are bigger jump rings out there that will fit your piece
I’m not a believer in god but I always accept prayers, and I thank you for praying for your viewers. I actually have severe breathing problems and a tracheostomy (not from resin but still)
You are welcome for prayer. I am so sorry you have breathing problems. I will pray today for you. I am so curious: so you don’t believe in God but always except prayer. Why is that? Do you believe Prayer works but you don’t want anything to do with God? I am just curious and had to ask.
I have been thinking about making a video just on that but in this different video I did I showed how to put the hooks in: ua-cam.com/video/6ZFuyh6HwtQ/v-deo.html
Omg your torch is so close to the mold! Doesn’t it melt/ burn, whatever’s you want to call it? Mine gets damaged, I’ve ruined a few molds bcz of this! Now I don’t torch the small things at all!
Yep it is close but I have never had a problem with melting the mold. I don’t know if my lighter is on low or not as hot as yours but I have never had problem. And silicone mold should have some resistance to heat since we use silicone molds for baking with. So I am curious why yours melted.
@@DezyJewelry I’m not sure. Perhaps the quality matters? Besides my molds are “resin molds”. My baking molds are very different, in shapes sizes material all of it…. 🤨🤔 This is confusing me… my torch isn’t even that big! It’s a tiny thing… it might be the type of torch. (I’m not happy with it either, but I don’t have many choices). I’ll research. But I think it must be the quality of my molds. That material is quite soft. I’ve had many of my molds stuck to whatever I’m making and struggling with it in the beginning. At the time I didn’t know very much about resin or molds or torching. But I still manage to do it even after two years, so it’s probably not all me. =) To anyone who’s reading, please research on your torch in loads of detail before buying. It’s really important to make a clear resin product.
@@DezyJewelry 🤷🏻♀️ maybe the places we buy from? I'm an AliExpress shopper... But even I've actually seen some difference in the thickness of different molds I've bought from there too.
I've never used this yet but I've got some and I see how it is now and I thank you for being in my path.
I am so glad I could help ❤️

I tried making some resin pieces, but they didn't cure properly, they were tacky to the touch (don't think I got the measurements right) and it put me off, but after watching you make these beautiful pieces for jewellery it's made me want to give it another go 😀
I'm not sure which is the best resin to use though. I live in the UK, so not sure if I can get the same as you're using, but I'll have a look.

question: when you use the back.... is there an unlevel line that has to be sanded down? or does it level itself?
When it dries you will need to sand the edges. But Resin levels on its own. But some times it creeps up the side in the mold.
Love them. I have always used UV resin but now I’m going to try the 2 part. Love your channel

Acrylic paint

Silly question when do you decide whether you use the epoxy or the resin?
Yes you decide which one you want to use. Sometimes you can use either one and they will both work other times certain techniques won’t work for both. There are pros and cons to uv Resin and epoxy resin
Hi what's the name of that mask n where would I find it? Thank u and earrings are beautiful.
I found it at harbor freight but I think Home Depot and Walmart would have it s as well.
Wow❤
Can you find a good ventilator that’s not expensive or uncomfortable?
Harbor freight always has inexpensive items and that is where I got mine and I love it. And it doesn’t hurt to wear.
Question: the molds are safe from melting from the flame or do ai need a specific mold?
Use silicone molds! 😁 great question ❤️
@dezyjewelry Thanks for the awesome tutorial! Love that you emphasize safety. What mask are you wearing?
It’s a respirator my husband picked up for me at harbor freight.
You can get them at Walmart or Lowe’s or Home Depot.

With the clear and gold flakes yes but you can’t have as deep of white because the uv light won’t penetrate through the UV resin. You can’t color the same with epoxy resin as you can with UV resin. I didn’t understand your comment too well so I wanted to clarify. By polish you mean nail polish?
Did you run these under a UV light?
This is two part epoxy resin not uv resin. So you mix the two parts together and do what you want with it, place in mold and wait 24 hours.
UV resin you placed under the light and wait minutes
Where can I buy the template for the earrings?
I think hobby lobby might sell molds. Or you can always look online as well.
Wouldn't they yellow over time if the customer wears it during the daytime?
Rumor has it that all resin pieces Yellow over time. Truth is I don’t know the answer to your question or if some companies Resin doesn’t Yellow and others do. Jdiction claims their resin does NOT yellow. We will see.
Can I use ur resin
I want whatever she is taking too! jk - It's God in her.
😂😂😂😂 oh my word you made my day!!!!!! 🥰❤️🙌
Yes yes
🎶“it’s the God in me” 🎶 - Mary Mary
How healthy is resin
Can one create a plate and eat with it?
I have no idea. I am happy to do resin with jewelry because I don’t have to worry about that stuff. I don’t know. People make tumblers all the time out of Resin to drink out of. But at the end of the day I don’t know. .
Am🙏❤️
I made some earrings for the first time and they are too thick for jump rings?! Help?!
There are really big jump rings you can find. I have gotten some in resin making kits. So look for even bigger jump rings than a 10mm
Like this amzn.to/42oIusz
Or maybe this amzn.to/3MSLNSO
This are maybes because I don’t know how think your piece is.
😢
Do you sell your jewelry?
I have. We are still in the process of moving so I had to pack away everything. Do not at this time.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰‼️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
You know that,if using UV resin to place a mirror under your UV lamp 🔦 it helps it cure better
Oh very interesting. I did not know that!
I wish you could have shown me how to put hooks in it.😔
I have been thinking about making a video just on that but in this different video I did I showed how to put the hooks in: ua-cam.com/video/6ZFuyh6HwtQ/v-deo.html
get a creme brulee kitchen torch
oh nice! Never thought about that!!! I have finally found spritzing with rubbing alcohol works well
Omg your torch is so close to the mold!
To anyone who’s reading, please research on your torch in loads of detail before buying. It’s really important to make a clear resin product.
@@Jeea84 Mine are resin molds too for jewelry. I just thought silicone was kinda the same. But I do have jewelry silicone molds and they do not melt.
@@DezyJewelry 🤷🏻♀️ maybe the places we buy from? I'm an AliExpress shopper... But even I've actually seen some difference in the thickness of different molds I've bought from there too.
Are you wearing a facemask as you do this?
You should still use a respirator. The only time I don’t is while filming because I need you guys to hear me. Other than that I wear one
🫶🏽😍😍😍
