Nicholas Wituik, I'd be interested in a patch, and possibly a shirt or hat. Another well shot, well framed, well edited video! Glad to see the camp fixed up and back in service!
Nicholas Wituik hey I subbed just than your Chanel is REALY cool I do things outside to I'm a outdoor person I love it I have a REALY cool fort like you to me and my friend worded on it for a few almost a year
Excellent film Nick! Make the most of these times mate. Father / son things never get old. I lost my father back in 2014 and how I wish I had managed to get him "on film"...
I like the fact that you and your father went in the wilderness with protection. Most videos like yours, I see no protection. I think safety is important when being out there. Happy Camping!!!!
By far the best well done, edited, and no nonsense crafting I have seen on YT. Silence is Golden, No commercials, don't care who's shirt you wear. Just keep it raw and you will do well.
N3726B Beechcraft I see. I am in the process of making some clothing with my logo on it as we speak. I don't agree with caring about wearing brands. I find it stupid as well, but if It's your own brand I see no reason why It's a problem
I find your style of filming fascinating. Although there is not actual commentary there is a very nice soundscape going on the entire time. It's peaceful to watch and also makes the point of why you're out there in the first place...subtle and very effective. Such incredible beauty that you are sharing.
I'm glad you find it fascinating! Much better then people always asking me to talk hahah. It's just not my style; although, sometimes I do wish it was. It'd be a lot less work
Take EVERY opportunity you can mate. I woke up one morning married and went to bed widowed; with NO indication anything was amiss except for her "feeling a bit under the weather today". :¬(
Has your Dad ever told you the story about the time we were stuck on an island in Algonquin for a couple days because of the wind? We didn’t eat nearly as well as you two just did, three brothers stuck in a 19$ pup tent, a memory never to be forgotten :).. hugs to you all! Btw, loved seeing you two together, beautifully filmed, a treasure you’ll appreciate when you’re our age!
I am so pleased to have found your videos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences, I would have loved doing this when I was younger /fitter. My dogs would love the chance to do this type of adventure, but it would worry me about how you keep him warm once activities stop. Nice to see someone chopping onions like me 😊
Well I must say never got to camp out in a tent,But I learned how to survive in a trappers cabin in the Alberta country.Went with my Dad (Pop's) when I was just 10 years old and never stop till he moved on .I'm still here with all the memories and it is sure nice to see Father & son.
I get a chuckle out of the extroverts in the comments scratching their heads in confusion because of the silence. Your videos are great Nick and the silence is golden. Thanks.
Communication and companionship is human nature, the video shows me from time to time they almost looked forced not to speak during the filming. I can guarantee the ruff footage has lots of speaking and discussion about how to collaborate on the next clip. to me its almost creepy. I spend a lot of time alone and in the woods enjoying nature, but it is never silent.
Once again great video and great camp, looked like an awesome overnighter for sure. Thanks for sharing once again and see you down the road. Cheers Fred
This might be your very best video ! I love cooking outside on a fire and you hit every, single, aspect of the subject that i love. I watched it twice so far and will many more times. Count me in on a shirt or patch. I’ll support you anyway i can.
Just found your channel the other day and have been going through the long term camp build videos and a few of these trip ones as well. Great content, I subbed for more. Cheers!
I'd like your camp setup is truly a functional shelter, it's got enough room to be inside if needed plus the lean to entrance is a great idea. I'm not much on the one man popup tarp shelters, there isn't any room inside them. Great setup and is enjoyable not listening to someone talking all the time.
That whispered comment "There's a lot" had me chuckling, was my thoughts when I saw how much you where cookin, I though maybe its for breaky too! enjoyed the vid :)
Nice to see that you have found serenity and aren't angry to everything throwing things and kicking them around all the time. I once was subscribed to your channel, but I got anxious waching your videos where you were so quick-tempered and unsubscribed. Haven't been your subscriber for mounths, but after waching this video I thoughed to give you an other chance and re-subscribed. Keep up the good work. I like your new more calm style.
Pauli Keltomäki Not sure what you're talking about. The only time I've ever thrown something on my channel was a rusted out bow saw but that really was for a laugh. Everything else is just wood and wood can be dropped/kicked out of the way because it's just wood, it's literally less effort to do that. Thanks for joining back but next time ask for clarification if you're wondering about something, I reply to every comment :)
You made a lot of effort to film everything .. a very nice video about life in nature. I myself lived in the military in the forest in 1986 for a full 3 weeks because we also cooked tea from pine needles and baked bread from tree bark was not bad. And your food (except this meat I'm vegetarian) looked really delicious. Top that you have dressed the dog warm. Greetings Hans from Germany
I do try very hard to film it all, it's a struggle considering I have to film the process for nearly everything so it's easy to follow along with. Thanks for the comment! Never heard of tree bark bread, how is it made?

you are welcome.. with the tree bark bread is very simple .. you take dough water yeast and give some bark from a fir tree
Best 2017-2018 Winter Overnighter I have seen on UA-cam! First: this doesn't look like a 'gun and run' by some masochist made to please his fans. For sure, you and your Dad could talk a bit and bring us along more on the adventure. But...you have a very fine shelter (recently repaired) and it shows to fine advantage here. I love that Puma knife (ref: Bushcraft Bear) and your father's Grohmann Canadian belt knife has better blade geometry and steel than the one I bought a good few years ago. First rate! and Thank you for it!
I'm honoured you think so. We put a lot of work into making these videos! I actually have a different knife the Bushcraft Bear, he has a White Hunter I believe, mine is a Buffalo Hunter, the blades are different :). My father's belt knife is super old, that could possibly be why? Thanks for the comment!
It really was, it was Marie's recipe from when she was here. She's an AMAZING cook. Aahah you got me, I thought you were serious there for a sec. There will be more to come
Marie wrote it down for me so you're in luck! Here's the recipe for the sauce: 1 can of mushroom soup 3/4 cup of sour cream 2tsp of Worcestershire sauce 2tsp of parsley 1 cup of broth (optional) Then salt and pepper to taste. We didn't bring nearly enough sauce for the ridiculous amount of noodles we brought, so I'd say make some extra sauce just in case :). The rest of the recipe is: 1 bag of noodles (roughly, depends on the type) 1 small onion 2 cloves of garlic 3/4lbs of mushrooms
Thanks Nicholas. Say thanks to Marie. This is delicious, the sour cream add a little kick to the sauce. I did this saturday and now I have lunch for like 2-3 weeks. Will do this again for sure.
I lived in the tropics, but I enjoyed watching these kind of winter camp, and yours is one of the best. Just a suggestion, what about replacing the cabin tarp with clear plastic tarp to give it more light during the day? Keep up the good content, it's always enjoyable to watch.
What's it like down there, is Bushcraft any good with he type of climate you have? Thank you though! That is a great idea; although, we plan to completely cover the tarps in spring, so that may not work D:
It's hot and humid, and depending on the season, starting a fire can be challenging, since it's pretty hard to find something that's really dry to begin with, but it's still fun :D Ah, I see, it can't be done then. It's a nice camp setup you got there, I can't wait to see more of your video !
I've been working on leaving in some of the talking in on my later videos. My mic struggles to pick it up though, but hopefully I'll have a new one soon!
What a wonderful memory you made with your dad. Good times and great food. To bad Maria's site nolonger works or is it just my internet provider again.
B.C interior? I have a little long term camp there as well. Can't get to it without a snow machine when winter hits, but tons of fun in the other 3 seasons. Building a teepee on the site now as well. Pretty basic, but fun when my 20 year old son can come up and join me. Need to build something a bit more accessible for winter use. Good vids. Slainte.
I didn't say all day, and I've watched videos with you and your gf on an over nighter and no words spoken. Just nice to hear conversations during the filming. Check out Joe Robinet or my self reliance!
There's no need for talking with my videos, my videos aren't meant to be educational, they're just to document what I do, and if people want to follow along and just relax, or even build the same as I do, they can. I show the process of what I do in each video. Don't get me wrong, I respect the hell out of those two and am huge fans of them, but what they do is pretty much v-logging in the woods and it's entertaining of course, but mine is just a documentary style. Similar to how Dick Proenneke filmed what he did :)
Just started watching your web site, takes me back to my early days camping, that's the only way to camp. Send info on the items if your still selling, Thanks Chas***
I enjoy having this on in the background while I work. Super relaxing and a nice mental break. What was the white sauce you cooked? Everything looked yummy! Thank you for posting the videos!
can't say i have ever tried tea from cedar , but have tried pine needle tea, dinner looked great nice video you should try to set up your shelter so that you get heat in the two sleeping areas
It's pretty good, just be careful! Don't use me or what I do as a teaching experience! Always do your own proper research. That'd be nice and was in the original plans for the camp, but I never got around to it :(
The filming is excellent, it show the activities and not a word needs to be spoken. I don't like gabby bushcrafters anyway. The settings are usually beautiful, the natural sound enhances the scenery.
you might want to store your wood inside your sleeping area, also you might want to make a cover of wood to cover your fire pit so you don't have to dig it out every time .in joy
How many of you are interested in custom "Wituik" shirts, hats, and patches? If so, leave a comment below!
Nicholas Wituik, I'd be interested in a patch, and possibly a shirt or hat.
Another well shot, well framed, well edited video! Glad to see the camp fixed up and back in service!
Nicholas Wituik hey I subbed just than your Chanel is REALY cool I do things outside to I'm a outdoor person I love it

@Nicholas Wituik .. Yes .. Shirts :-)
Nicholas Wituik . yes shirt , hat , thanks for the overnighter .
Yes a patch or three 👊
That's awesome you get the chance to enjoy something like that with your father that's a rare thing theses days
It sure is, sadly.
Love your videos and the Father and son is awesome. You guy's are the real deal, keep them videos coming.
Enjoy your time with your Dad. Those times and that chance passes to quickly.
indeed
Love that, I had a little smile when I saw the beer can.
Silence is gold and so is the bonding
Excellent film Nick! Make the most of these times mate. Father / son things never get old.
I lost my father back in 2014 and how I wish I had managed to get him "on film"...
Thanks! I try. I'm sorry you lost him :(
I like the fact that you and your father went in the wilderness with protection. Most videos like yours, I see no protection. I think safety is important when being out there. Happy Camping!!!!
By protection I assuming you're meaning the firearms? You too though!
In camping with my Dad this summer for the 1st time. Can't wait
Good luck!
I like how the shelter is set to face the sunshine.. perfect 👌🏼
That was actually unplanned but worked out great aha
By far the best well done, edited, and no nonsense crafting I have seen on YT.
Silence is Golden, No commercials, don't care who's shirt you wear. Just keep it raw and you will do well.
Thank you! That means a lot :) Not sure what you mean about the shirt though!
Don't care of what the brand name of the shirt your is, like some campers on YT always try to sell the products they are using.
N3726B Beechcraft I see. I am in the process of making some clothing with my logo on it as we speak. I don't agree with caring about wearing brands. I find it stupid as well, but if It's your own brand I see no reason why It's a problem
Right, market yourself not others. Also, I tried Marie's stroganoff recipe....and it was Devine !!!
Beautiful. Wonderful. Jealous. Can just imagine the smell of that fire. The serenity.
Thanks :)
I find your style of filming fascinating. Although there is not actual commentary there is a very nice soundscape going on the entire time. This is life! Thank you
Sure is :)
Great video. Spend as much time together as you can cause I sure wish I could spend one more camping trip with my dad. Thanks for taking us along.
Take EVERY opportunity you can mate.
I woke up one morning married and went to bed widowed; with NO indication anything was amiss except for her "feeling a bit under the weather today".
:¬(
Thanks. I plan too, sorry to hear you can't anymore :(
I will. I'm so sorry that happened to you
Nicholas Wituik All part of life guy.
Shaky Hand Pictures I would spend days hanging out with you in a $19 tent anytime brother 🤓🇨🇦🍺
I don't think he has
WoW, that's awesome time you and your father had, so relaxing to watch, thank you for sharing.
I would proudly put a patch on my hat for sure.
It really was, was cold in the morning though. That's by far my least favourite thing about winter camping. I'll see what I can do with the patches!
Awesome, man. I live in South Africa and go on long hiking trips regularly with my dad - such a great thing to do. This looks like loads of fun!
South Africa, that sounds amazing. I'm assuming that is it in your profile photo. It is beautiful
Having been to northern Ontario in my younger days watching your videos bring back fond memories..!! Great job.
My father is from there I believe (I don't know if the town he grew up in is north of south)
I am so pleased to have found your videos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences, I would have loved doing this when I was younger /fitter.
My dogs would love the chance to do this type of adventure, but it would worry me about how you keep him warm once activities stop.
Nice to see someone chopping onions like me 😊
I like your style. I treasure the days I spent camping with my Dad.
I'm glad! I treasure then aswell

I love the video. Amazing! No talk, nature sound only... greetings from Indonesia.
Thanks! Greetings from Canada
I get a chuckle out of the extroverts in the comments scratching their heads in confusion because of the silence. Your videos are great Nick and the silence is golden. Thanks.
I do as well, silence is a part of nature, why wouldn't it be a part of my videos about it? ahha
Video meraviglioso !!!
Thank you. Great video. I always say that the best cadres do not need words
Thanks!
Once again great video and great camp, looked like an awesome overnighter for sure. Thanks for sharing once again and see you down the road. Cheers Fred
Thanks!! It really was.

Hahaha. Thanks!
I could watch for hours !!!
I'm glad :)
The cooking smelled good.
I'm not surprised, Marie made it. Tastes good too? :D
This might be your very best video ! I love cooking outside on a fire and you hit every, single, aspect of the subject that i love. I watched it twice so far and will many more times. Count me in on a shirt or patch. I’ll support you anyway i can.
That makes me so happy to hear, I'm glad you enjoyed it more than once!!
Just found your channel the other day and have been going through the long term camp build videos and a few of these trip ones as well. Great content, I subbed for more. Cheers!
Thanks for subscribing! Welcome
Just discovered your channel and subscribed. Loved the video! I'm going to be doing some binge watching tonight. Thanks!
Thank you for subscribing! Welcome :D
Nice vid sir, good to see you out with the old man. I love getting out with mine! Cheers!
Thank you! It was fun
I just love this, it s great.
Great video guys! That dinner looked awesome
Thanks! It was, Marie's recipe :)
Thanks buddy keep up the videos
I'll try!
That whispered comment "There's a lot" had me chuckling, was my thoughts when I saw how much you where cookin, I though maybe its for breaky too! enjoyed the vid :)
Haha, more than we expected. It was nice crisped over the fire the next morning however
Nice to see that you have found serenity and aren't angry to everything throwing things and kicking them around all the time.
I once was subscribed to your channel, but I got anxious waching your videos where you were so quick-tempered and unsubscribed.

Imagine how much fun that would be if you were allowed to talk to each other and didn't have to set up a camera for every move you made.
Honestly would've been amazing. UA-cam takes a lot of the joy out of it all.
Loved it would have loved to spend time with my boys
Go for it :D
Every movie is a bigger adventure. The dog is always with you. There were no birds or rabbits to hunt? Greetings.
There were lots of hare and grouse around, but no luck harvesting any on this trip. Most of my hunting is done off camera :)
Truly enjoy your videos.good looking set up. Tidewater, Virginia
Thanks!
Your vids are so relaxing to watch. Great job.
I'm glad you think so. Thank you
Nice vid. Perfect end - “Load / chamber / follow dog out” ...aaannd cut!
Thanks! I was actually checking to make sure the chamber was empty ;)
Great vid, love it
Thanks
This video was brilliant I really enjoyed watching it
Thanks! I'm glad to hear. Your camps are awesome btw!
I love your video and your channel !! Take care :)
I'm happy to hear! You too
Im having that next time I go camping👍👍
Tell me how it goes!
Yea quit being creepy. Add a little conversation
I love it,no talk more work,,not like others, more talk less work
I feel the same way haha. You'll love my next video then
When you discover, "We're going to need a bigger frying pan.". :)
Great video
Thanks!
New subscriber, so interesting. Love Comet really good dog. Glad you are with your dad.
Thanks for subscribing! I'm glad as well
Ah man that macaroni looked delicious. And the dog didn't eat at all again. Just kidding again. Great job with the editing. We want more.
It really was, it was Marie's recipe from when she was here. She's an AMAZING cook. Aahah you got me, I thought you were serious there for a sec. There will be more to come
What's Marie's recipe for the macaroni sauce??? It really interess me. Thanks bro. Continue your great job. Take care.
Marie wrote it down for me so you're in luck! Here's the recipe for the sauce:
1 can of mushroom soup
3/4 cup of sour cream
2tsp of Worcestershire sauce
2tsp of parsley
1 cup of broth (optional)
Then salt and pepper to taste. We didn't bring nearly enough sauce for the ridiculous amount of noodles we brought, so I'd say make some extra sauce just in case :).
The rest of the recipe is:
1 bag of noodles (roughly, depends on the type)
1 small onion
2 cloves of garlic
3/4lbs of mushrooms
Say thanks to Marie, I'm definitely trying it this week end, thanks Buddy.
Thanks Nicholas. Say thanks to Marie. This is delicious, the sour cream add a little kick to the sauce. I did this saturday and now I have lunch for like 2-3 weeks. Will do this again for sure.
Making char cloth cool

Great vid and relax time. Something you can cherish as a great memory. I would skip the Ale and invest in a larger flask. :)
Thanks! Good advice haha
Good vedio👍👍i learn a lots.Thank you sir
Thanks!

Welcome! Thanks for subscribing
If not for the more modern packs, this could be an intro to an old western.
That makes me very happy to read hahaha, I love just about everything about the old west :)
if you take a bar of bath soap and rub it all over the bottom and sides of the pots and pans they will clean up real easy when you get home
Great idea!
I enjoy having this on in the background while I work. Super relaxing and a nice mental break. What was the white sauce you cooked? Everything looked yummy! Thank you for posting the videos!
Understandable. That's why I keep them silent :) That was some beef stroganoff sauce!
You should've put a piece of flat wood between the blue tarp and the nail, it stops the nail from tearing the tarp
Love the vid.doin similar camp with my kids.cool bro.thumbs up
I'm glad. Have fun :)
very nice video
Why thank you
can't say i have ever tried tea from cedar , but have tried pine needle tea, dinner looked great nice video you should try to set up your shelter so that you get heat in the two sleeping areas

@@wituikbws They sell Round Tuits on ebay. :)
Realy bushcraft, cool 👍 Hello from bushcraft Ukraine.
Thank you! Hello from Canada
I've never seen so much gear for just an overnight :)
Agreed
The filming is excellent, it show the activities and not a word needs to be spoken. I don't like gabby bushcrafters anyway. The settings are usually beautiful, the natural sound enhances the scenery.
Thank you! 90% of the time out there is spent filming, mostly just setting up the camera. I'm happy it is appreciated.
Comfortably video congratulations, but what is that 10:02? And why will you want to use it? Does anyone know?
Aleix Garsot Thanks :). That's charcloth used for flint and steels
Хорошо отдохнули мужики
I would be interested in a patch, how long of a walk in is it? What kind of "doodle" is the dog?
Awesome :) The walk isn't too long. The dog is a labradoodle
If you listen you can hear the trucks on the highway in some of the videos
I wish my dad did stuff like this with me...
Gotta convince him :)
you might want to store your wood inside your sleeping area, also you might want to make a cover of wood to cover your fire pit so you don't have to dig it out every time .in joy
Good ideas!
Another great vid bud!
Thanks man :)
dubble A+++,less is more. mad love from NZ
Thanks!!
