We cover lots of productivity tactics and business strategies in this episode! Don’t miss these highlights:
4:45 - How to practice self-care, even when you’re in the throws of growing your business.
7:25 - Which metrics are actually worth tracking (and which are just wasting your time).
13:30 - My favorite go-to strategy for whenever business gets slow.
15:30 - Why there’s no shame in having a side hustle and how to know if you need one.
24:00 - How to simplify your business when you feel pulled in too many directions.
Here are those related #MarieTV episodes that I mentioned:

This is great. I once did a challenge that was inspired by Tim Ferriss where you're only allowed to work for 4 hours every day (that is focused, undistracted work). Oddly enough, I got just as much done as if I were busy all day doing things that were of minor importance.
There's a shift that happens when your time is restricted and having more time to dedicate to a business can often also result in more time being wasted being busy, rather than productive...

Yes! Set your own pace, choose your own schedule and do NOT feel guilty about keeping yourself whole. I too used to beat myself up at times. I was a workaholic for a long time and when I am really into something, the hours can fly by and then suddenly I realize it's past midnight, but that kind of situation is okay. But when you work for yourself, you become much more focused on "being productive" and lots of things that do not feel productive actually are. Making sure you look well after you is part of a smart business strategy, and don't let anyone tell you any different.
I had a phase in, I think, 2003, when I was also "working" around the clock, never giving myself a time-out and I was increasingly getting stressed, but I noticed it and I sent myself away on day trips, nothing to do with work, but walking around for example at a large avian park that I'd never been to and that sounded like maybe it was a little bit out of my way, location-wise. I came back refreshed. You may have to put "YOU time" in your schedule, depending on how you work, what your routine is, really schedule it.

I love how positive you are and flip commonly held beliefs like working 24/7 and thinking it's bad to work while you have a business. Like you say, "Everything is figureoutable"

Such a good one! I recently just had the realization that I’ve stressed so much about social media and keeping up on it, that I’ve lost sight of what’s actually driving my business! Time to focus on that more! 🙌

Thank you for building a platform that encourages reasonable and healthy work habits. I came to the entrepreneurship arena through Gary Vee, who sadly left me feeling paralyzed with guilt and shame that I wasn't "hustling" hard enough. It was my intentional turn away from him that led me to you. Thank, God! You and Team Forleo fill me so much joy and belief in myself. Your interview with David Bach has completely transformed my finances and your episode with Steven Pressfield is one of my favorite interviews of all time. You change lives every day with your incredible work. Thank you!
My takeaways: Girl, will you share your "green drink" recipe?! ;) Take care of what's most important first. Vanity metrics (a.k.a. doesn't really mean anything) love this term! Count me in for B School 2020!

You must to work 24/7 but it doesn't mean that you need to sit all day with your MacBook or do something else (routine). You must to develop yourself, wake up early, eat according to the rules of etiquette and listen something new about your business, do sports with your partner and do routine as much as you can, but after loss of attention you need to find someone who can make this job for you

Hello Marie! What a nice energy you are sharing here and of course great thoughts. I want to ask you to talk in one of your shows on how to start/menage time with your business while having little kids . Sometimes it seems like one just have to stop the business all together for these first years , cause the little of a free time that the parent can get is so chaotically placed that its impossible to plan anything.
Anyway.. if you inspired to talk on that subject - that would be amazing!
    Thank you !

Thank you so much for watching and for your great question. Marie has chatted with people about how kids and business can some together and we've linked a few episodes below that we think you'll find helpful on that topic. Finding what works for you and your family takes time but here are examples that show it can be done! Wishing you all our best- Team Forleo

Irrelevant to the video: I was watching Joker last night and when I saw his boss, I was like "where do I know this guy? In what role have I seen him?" and then it came to me "Oh my God, is Josh!!!" I felt weirdly proud like I knew him and Marie personally 😂
