That was awesome ! I really liked the textures and the cinematography. We don't feel that much weight in the animation, that's the "not that awesome point" I can highlight. Great work !
This is amazing, Chris! Follow your works for many years already. Hope I can do some starcarf clips like yours one day :D Thank you for the inspiration.
super tare, prima oara cand te am gasit nu mi a venit sa cred se poate face asa ceva la o asemenea calitate si detaliu(fara a fi un studio de animatie sau ceva). Bravo !!!
Hello, I'm a Korean UA-camr who uploads videos about StarCraft. Can I post your video on the channel with improved quality? There is a technology that improves with 4K UHD and increases the number of frames. If you want, I'll put a link to your channel in the description section. Since copyright belongs to you, I will follow you no matter what decision you make.
Overall this is extremely good. You should be proud, this is outstanding work! I personally think that the animation on the biped looks a bit off when he is normally walking and running towards the monster, looks like it is one walk/run cycle and not animated to uniquely adapt to the environment, which is my only critique; but I'm mainly a lighter and a look--dev artist so might just be my personal opinion.
Thanks Marcus! I agree there could be some polish on that part, but unfortunately I wasn't in a position for asking too much feedback on animation due to time and having zero budget. :)
Send me a message if you have future project planned and want to work with me and I could show you my previous work. Would gladly help with crowd simulation or similar.
vimeo.com/136570870 Need to update showreel soon since some clips are 4 years old but take a look :) you see my contact info in the reel if you want to mail and see something more recent.
ok, as a long time fun of your work, i can only say this: "if you don't wish to work for Blizzard Cinematic department you are crazy :P, and if they do not offer you right now a job there they are stupid!" ;-)
I actually used one single PC to render this, over the course of the last couple years as I worked on the project. Most frames average at 10-15 minutes, but sometimes could get to 60-70 minutes per frame (for something like facial close-up, for example); Good thing you can play Diablo while the PC renders :)
Very cool! The only two things that weren't perfect I noticed were the Hybrid footsteps sound effect and its eyes. Fantastic work though! Also side note, it's unfair that my shitty movies channel has more subs than yours. I hope you'll get the recognition you deserve soon!
Well you're putting more work in your channel; I just dump some of my stuff on here. I see you're a fan of War Thunder; We did the 2013 CG trailer for War Thunder, here at RealtimeUK. :)
I can agree some parts of the anim could've had a bit more polish, but I was really happy with what I got from my two animators and it was difficult to give them TOO much feedback because they did this in their own spare time for me. Still TONS better than my animation skills (look at Final Meta for that, ugh)
Hey Mark, I am humbled you would seek my help. Unfortunately, due to time constraints from work, I'm not able to get involved with other projects. I hope you do a kick ass job on your Starcraft project! Brood War was an incredible game.
@@freespace87 Thank you so much for your response, friend. I am truly honored that you would take the time to reply. I understand completely about your work, and I hope it goes well! I do have one request, if you can. Do you think you could provide some of the models you used in this and Final Metamorphosis? We are looking for useable models. Again if not, I completely understand! Thanks!
@@MarKreationsStudios I'm sorry I can't share the models, however I'm aware there are tools online that allow you to extract models from the Starcraft II engine. People use this for modding, but it could give you a good base to start from and further develop the models for your project.
@@freespace87 Again, thank you so much! I will remember you as an inspiration for my animation! And I will respond on here once more to tell you when I have it on my channel! I hope you will like it!
Is there any way you could share your StarCraft animation works as a download? Ive been adding them to my StarCraft cinematic collection since their release. But the best I could do was rip them from UA-cam
Honestly amazing work! Only thing that would look slightly off from the professional blizzard team is the character animation. The rest was spot on and man did I enjoy it! Did you go to school to learn or did you learn as you went?
Cheers, appreciate the honest feedback. I learned CG by myself over a long period of time, but afterwards I did go to an arts university in order to learn traditional art skills like composition, anatomy, etc.
Hi wanna say that this is really awesome piece of work, and i also got a question cos im 3d artist my self, did you used photoshop to make space background, im guessing for nebula clouds u used fume fx?
Thanks! For the space stuff, it's a combination of real nebula photos and stuff I've generated in Apophysis. This is all processed together in Photoshop and brought into After Effects as 3d layers.

Amazing work as always!
Thanks Philipp!
If no one told me, I would have thought this was an official trailer. Nice work.
That's quite the compliment, thank you.

wow dude, that's outstanding!!!

Amazing. I actually wish SC2 had had something closer to this darker tone.
Yup, 100% agree with you there :)
Good job dude, speechless

what a step up since metamorphosis. i'm speech less. this one don't have a lot to envy to official blizzard CG. 0_0. gg. cheers.

i would say the protoss running was not the "perfect" was more like hovering out of sync, untill the cool jusmp and smoke.........

No worries, feedback is always welcome. That's how we grow.

Voicerover like Ultron from Avengers :D
Ultron had such a badass voice
But , it is the voice similar to optimus prime.
Wasn't this made by CGbros?
Hey, CGBros asked for permission to host it on their channel, and I said sure because it added more eyes on it due to their larger following.
