As a person with a new mouse with holes (Glorious Model O), I was doubtful but I gotta say it is performing great. I want to say it's best for FPS games because of the lighter weight. I didnt notice a change right away but when I switched back to my old mouse it felt so sluggish and heavy. It's not for everyone though. Edit: it's also much cheaper at $50 USD so if Tech Yes City reads this, how about trying this one out?
Qorkado I love my model o. My ultralight 2 came in the mail and I gave it a few hours and went back to the model o because it is the perfect shape for my larger hand claw grip and it’s light, but not to light where I struggle with tracking.

To bounce on what Brian said at 6:28 , There is no such thing as too light of a mouse imo (but too filmsy, yeah...), even in the case of a perfectly weightless mouse, there would still be the weight of your hand, which you already handle perfectly by itself. The mouse really is just meant to be an extension of your hand, that's why shape and size matters too

Larger mice are almost always more comfortable when well designed (that’s why things like the MX Master are immense) but smaller mice (even when they aren’t way lighter) are much better for precision in FPS games regardless of grip. Different people will want a different balance of comfort/performance

I wonder whether will we get to the point where reducing the friction force with purpose-made mouse+mat combos will give better results than just reducing the weight of a mouse.
depends, less friction will increase the effects of inertia, witch makes sudden directional changes slower and more difficult. Yup this shows qualitative proof that weight does matter for aiming. And the best mouse was also the most expensive and had the best shape and weight. But unfortunately a lot of money.
Where is the Glorious Model O? Just bought one of them (for half the price of an Ultralight), and so far it is pretty brilliant (and easier to obtain).
People like lighter mouses that he explained in the video, but the reason companies say it gives better performance is because when you have a mouse that’s heavy the inertia in the mouse when you move it is grater so it has a pull and when you use a lighter mouse the drag is so Less that it’s like using air and it makes you perform better.
I dont know if the measurements are correct, but if you go on best buy, and search up g403, the net weight is 0.19 ounces, and in grams, thats about 5 grams, and a 10 gram optional weight ,which would be the lightest out of all of theses
Well that info from Best Buy is wrong lol I have the G403 Prodigy and Hero and they weigh in at 87g. Currently using the ultralight 2 at 50g and can't imagine using anything else it's too damn good
Variations in cable quality (some have argued the 102 has better), sensor (Mercury vs 3366; not really noticeable), and texture. The difference is subtle; some prefer the G102 because: 1. it's cheaper, 2. the cable and texture, and 3. because the G Pro isn't noticeably better.
Brian: I would recommend a g304/g305 with a battery mod to use aaa batteries so you can make it lighter. Mine with a recharable aaa battery is 58g, is basically the same shape as your logitech and for a bonus, its wireless with a very good receiver and no lag (been tested), I picked mine up in Australia on sale for $56. I am surprised Rocket Jump Ninja didn't suggest it, he has a review on it.
Better TECH YES drill some holes in that G102 😂 lighten up that bad boi I'm with you on the price. $190!?!? Can build a used price performance Xeon system with that money 😂
taking the wireless version apart and drilling holes and removing excess plastic drops it down to about 60g on beardedbobs channel but you can download and print 3d models for honeycomb shell pieces for the g102 (g203: usa model with same shell) on thingiverse, the files are free to download but goodluck finding someone willing to print it for under $100
Funny , I was just discussing those 3 mices with Zy in the MM710 video yersterday. The best solution for you would be to start modding your current G102 like so : A ultra-light shell swap and a paracord replacement. This will make a HUGE comfort difference while keeping your hand positioning intact.
If you like the Ultralight 2, but it's too exensive for you, maybe try the Glorious Model O-. It's just a little bit bigger, but has a similar shape. You might like it very much
I've had a weird journey picking a mouse myself. My G Pro Wireless kept double clicking and I was really upset so I got a cheap alternative for the quick fix, but only when I was like "Yeah, when my model o breaks I'll try out another mouse." but then I got REALLY good with it.. and I think it was just meant to be. Bought a Razer Viper Ultimate because the shape was similar to the model o, but they're different enough that somehow I'm setting PB scores in aim lab with the Model O and could not progress with the RVU. I don't know why that is, but I'm going to continue this journey with my model o. best of luck to anyone else in this boat! Glad I'm getting that $150 back tho..
See I'm still on the search for the perfect mouse for me. Think for my large hands I prefer palm grip. My favorite atm is my zowie fk1+. How would you compare the size of the CM honeycomb mouse to something like the fk1+?

G102 has a problem with their switches. My friend has to send that mice for rma for 3 times this year. He had a new g102 mice everytime but after 2-3 months, it would be double-clicked again
G102 isn't even close to G3/G100s in reality... I just got my hands on the G100s shape after a while and oh my god, it felt so good and not cramped at all.

Just paracord mod the mouse, google paracord mouse cable and look up a video of how to install them. Its pretty easy, but you might need to get replacement mouse feet if they need to be removed for the installation of the paracord. I have my fk2 fully moded.

A ultra-light shell swap and a paracord replacement.
This will make a HUGE comfort difference while keeping your hand positioning intact.
What's your opinion on Razer products?
What's the best mouse for hybrid grip?
Can someone tell me the name of the music at 3:10?
Try the glorious model o- and give your opinions, because like you I have been using g102/203 for years and I like the shape😄
Hi i use g 102 and i am very glad of shape. What do u recommend? Model o minus or Mm710? Which mouse similar shape with g102? Thanks.
@@omerfarukilgun9653 Ya I want to know as well. Will the glorious model o- suit me ? I have g102/203 as mentioned
nice review! too bad it didn't include the glorious modol o mouse.. debating between MM710 and glorious model o
im just worried about the build quality of the cooler master mouse so im probably going to buy the model 0
For nowadays, you have much choices such as Viper Mini, Model O-, Gwolves skoll, etc.
See I'm still on the search for the perfect mouse for me. Think for my large hands I prefer palm grip. My favorite atm is my zowie fk1+.
How would you compare the size of the CM honeycomb mouse to something like the fk1+?
MM710 will feel much smaller than a FK1+
@@VivaLaRazsa yeah thought so
I have Roccat LUA, will the 16g really make any difference? Iam claw grip user btw.
Hey, since you need a mouse with the shape you prefer and it being light as well, check the G Wolves Hati out. Zy has not yet reviewed it yet idk why. I want him to notice that mouse.
So in short, you should try the G Wolves Hati. (Almost same shape as G pro wireless and weighs in at 60g)
G102 has a problem with their switches. My friend has to send that mice for rma for 3 times this year. He had a new g102 mice everytime but after 2-3 months, it would be double-clicked again
hes a moba/RTS player?
FeelsOkayMan he's a fps player
@@thanhanle3879 even the 20 million switches aren't that good for fast RTS players, be careful bro, still very good mices IMO
FeelsOkayMan well, its very good mice too, but it's switches make me feel bad abt them, probaly was a faulty shipment from logitech
G102 isn't even close to G3/G100s in reality... I just got my hands on the G100s shape after a while and oh my god, it felt so good and not cramped at all.
I can only imagine how grimy those honeycomb mice can get.
I believe that cooler master is water proof in the back part, meaning it should be very easy to clean if it gets dirty
I have a model O, sooooo much grime gets in the holes, but I use a q tip to clean it out
Glorious Model O or Coolermaster MM710?
O- vs this is a much more sensible comparison the o is a much bigger rmouse
buddy puts his glasses on and turns into Eminem
LMAO
rooooflll
Who is the guy In glasses?
how can you even hit bubbles with 1600 dpi? :)
Try the Model O- that is on pre-order :)
I have enough problem cleaning between the two half and the buttons, can't imagine how much dirt could accumulate inside a mouse like this.
what mousepad is that?
Would be great if you could give the side button more attention in your reviews. I use them alot in fps now.
For what do you use them? I am using only one button for talking, but the second one I don't know for what to use. I play csgo mainly.

Theres ashit ton of things to put on sidebuttons
Have you tried Ceramic Mouse Feet?
I dont know if you have ever heard of OSU! but that might be interesting to test mice with
I did a tech city YES today. I got a 3rd gen hpe i7 $45 had a standard 24pin thank lord! Slapped a 500w $43 psu and rx580 $85. Traded it for a Acer nitro 5 that the guy had bought a month ago with the 9th gen i5 and a 1050 plus $200 cash $30 profit plus the laptop worth $500 on eBay all day long!!
Hey i’m kind of new to pc gaming. Can you please answer my few questions please:) so I like notched scroll wheels over smooth. I heavily depend on it in some games for switching through my hotbar. Will notch scroll wheels always be a thing? Will they ever slowly stop making notched scroll wheels or will it always be a thing for most gaming mouses. Thanks:) also which do you prefer?
if only the g102 double clicking issue doesnt exist it would be the best both price and performance
Hope they will make a new version of the MasterMouse S with the cable and the sensor of the MM710, since I like shape and everything but not the holes.
i got the g102 been loving it i only hate the cable i cant stand cable anymore but i dont know if it worth it me getting the mm710 cuz i whud love to have that cord and i love light mouses but is it worth it cuz i just got the g102 been using it for 1 month
If you really like the shape, just change the cable
You'll find alot of tutorial and material out there
Just paracord mod the mouse, google paracord mouse cable and look up a video of how to install them. Its pretty easy, but you might need to get replacement mouse feet if they need to be removed for the installation of the paracord. I have my fk2 fully moded.
You look like the reverse flash with your alter ego side 😂😂
