    In continual search of the best gaming mouse I try some new contenders in the market. The Coolermaster MM710 and also the FinalMouse Ultralight 2, however the the FinalMouse does have a really steep price tag, so I can't see myself paying that much for a mouse lol.

    As a person with a new mouse with holes (Glorious Model O), I was doubtful but I gotta say it is performing great. I want to say it's best for FPS games because of the lighter weight. I didnt notice a change right away but when I switched back to my old mouse it felt so sluggish and heavy. It's not for everyone though.
    Edit: it's also much cheaper at $50 USD so if Tech Yes City reads this, how about trying this one out?

      Qorkado I love my model o. My ultralight 2 came in the mail and I gave it a few hours and went back to the model o because it is the perfect shape for my larger hand claw grip and it’s light, but not to light where I struggle with tracking.

    This video is so relatable. I can hit my shots with the mm710 (claw grip), but I hate the feeling of holding it. I think I would find it better if the bump was smaller and the edge on the right click rounder. Or at least change the sides so you don't feel the right click rubbing against your finger.

    I'm currently using the "Glorious Model O (Matte Black)", I really enjoy the model O mouse it's like a lighter version of the Razer Deathadder but more comfortable. I got really tired of the shady business practice of "FinalMouse", FM created artificial demand for a product, & in return tried to bait & switch it's customers.....

    To bounce on what Brian said at 6:28 , There is no such thing as too light of a mouse imo (but too filmsy, yeah...), even in the case of a perfectly weightless mouse, there would still be the weight of your hand, which you already handle perfectly by itself. The mouse really is just meant to be an extension of your hand, that's why shape and size matters too

      I can't speak for the whole lineup but it's surprising how good the Sidewinder brand was. I've got two joysticks which beat anything that doesn't cost an arm and a leg (like VKB), and from what I hear the driving wheel is still legendary among the racing sim crowd.

    **Read this if you are thinking about to buy one of these mouses** I have recently buyed the ultralight 2 and got it today. The shape is very good if you already like the g pro/g 203. The shape feels shockingly simulair even though they look different and it just a little smaller not by much but enough to be the perfect size for me. It feels a little smaller in the width but and less in the lenght. my handsize is 17.5 cm from palm/wrist to my middle finger. The size difference does make a big difference for me that have already small hands. It feels both easier and better to grip this mouse because of the width size.

    People like lighter mouses that he explained in the video, but the reason companies say it gives better performance is because when you have a mouse that’s heavy the inertia in the mouse when you move it is grater so it has a pull and when you use a lighter mouse the drag is so Less that it’s like using air and it makes you perform better.

    The best solution for you would be to start modding your current G102 like so :
    A ultra-light shell swap and a paracord replacement.
    This will make a HUGE comfort difference while keeping your hand positioning intact.

    Final Mouse needs to come back down to earth tho. I remember when nobody knew them and Lupo was trying out the first Final mouse. It was like 60$ and the first Sunset was about the same. Then Ninja picked it up and every 7 year old had to have one. Kinda lame

    I dont know if the measurements are correct, but if you go on best buy, and search up g403, the net weight is 0.19 ounces, and in grams, thats about 5 grams, and a 10 gram optional weight ,which would be the lightest out of all of theses

    One of you nice YT tech reviewers needs to point out that quite a few e-sportsmen find thumb buttons can be a distraction and actually interfere with best grip and lifting. Lifting is a thing, lol. Not saying they are not great for many people for many games. Saying they are also not so great for many people for many games. Also would shave off a few more grams. Please at least look into this claim. I am only talking specifically about the G203, because that's all I have. It drives me nuts and actually impacts my articulation. If I had to keep this mouse I would literally mod the buttons out and fill in there. But I also suspect that if my thumb touches any button on any mice during my use I will have the same assessment for my purposes. Or if I try more mice maybe I'd find one I feel differently about. But it seems unlikely. Or maybe if there are none that don't bother me maybe research in this area could address that in future mice. More buttons is not necessarily better, it actually depends on your preferences. It seems to be about the only thing remaining. There is already at least some awareness of advantages of glossy finish so that is often a choice but not always (talking to you Logitech). And weight, cord flexibility, yeah , all that covered nicely. I might pay way up for a mouse like the Finalmouse, but then only if it had at least a 10 year warranty with free shipping coverage and plenty of free feet available at your request. It doesn't seem worth all that that without at least something like that, but pricing can be a complicated discussion.

  • @eltouristoduo
    @eltouristoduo 4 роки тому

    If I had the time I'd make a video on why the mx300 is the best shape for people that use a mouse the way I do. There is no improving it. It may look simple but it's not entirely so. There is almost no talk of the actual grip and use mechanics. People talk about just test scores or 'they like this better or that'. But every curve or flat spot matters. And we can say why and how. It also seem matte finish may be a bad idea that just gets hype. Probably pro gamers are the best to survey about that one. But it's a no brainer for me personally. I've been playing FPS on PC since that was a thing. The G203 is matte and I quickly found out how terrible that is. So I sanded and polished the sides and paddles, and lightened it by over 20g.

    I have massive hands and I love the UL2, I’ve got a 2.5 skin on the outside of the mouse and a 1 mm on the mouse button side. I hold the mouse on a slight angel in a palm grip so my wedding finger and pinky sit comfortably on the infinity skin. Also modded mine!
    If you’re not using a bungee please do yourself a favor and get a decent paracord they’re not hard to install and it makes a world of difference, first 2 weeks with the mouse in my large hands I felt like a god but after I got use to it I felt the cheap stiff paracord dragging along my giant mouse pad and it was effecting my muscle memory.
    Also this is a tip for all gamers I don’t see preached enough around UA-cam! Clean your MF mouse pad! A little bit of dirt, grease from your hand/palm and general dust really effects the movement of your mouse and will throw you off. Do an experiment and glide your mouse across different parts of your mouse pad and you’ll see for yourself 😂
    Posture is also important while trying to improve and become consistent if you’re slouched or tired you could be leaning back or to the left or raising your shoulder if your table is too high all contribute to your ability in game.
    I picked up 2 UL2’s one for myself and my brother for around $140 AUD each barely used with boxes and all the infinity skins! A lot of people impulse bought them, couldn’t get use to the size, give up and sell them. But it’s not bad at all and if you stick to it you’ll never want to pick up a 150g mouse again.

    For some reason I use very low dpi so the lighter the mouse the better for my flicks. I've been using 200dpi on Ultralight 2 in Valorant, but on G305 and G Pro I preferred 300dpi, I needed the extra dpi speed due to the extra weight of those mice. People that like high dpi will see less benefit from a lighter mouse as they move their mouse less and the higher dpi often needs to be offset by a heavier mouse for aiming stability.

  • @alias_taken
    @alias_taken 5 років тому

    I wonder whether will we get to the point where reducing the friction force with purpose-made mouse+mat combos will give better results than just reducing the weight of a mouse.

    • @Cichlid_Visuals
      @Cichlid_Visuals 5 років тому

      depends, less friction will increase the effects of inertia, witch makes sudden directional changes slower and more difficult. The less friction you are dealing with, the more important and evident weight becomes. Lighter weight will always be better, just like with sports cars, or anything that has to fight inertia quickly.

    Lol his aim was so slow in quake. He'd aim and then take half a second to fine aim and shoot. At that speed etc weight makes no difference cos you don't have momentum etc. If you're in csgo and flick for a head shot with a 120g g502 you can feel the lag first then the overshoot as the momentum carries it on etc.

    I just bought the MM710 because my Roccat Kain scroll wheel started backtracking, aka you scroll down two lines and then scrolls back up one.... and so far I love the MM710, its just working great.
    In 2015 I bought the Roccat Kone Pure Optical. Wasn't too bad. But eventually failed like all mice as I am a heavy gamer.
    In 2018 I bought the Roccat Kone Pure Owl-eye and it was a great mouse. As of late 2019 it started having the same issues my Kain is having with the mouse wheel. Which is why I bought the Kain having enjoyed my previous Roccat mice....
    FOR CHRISTMAS 2019 I get the Roccat Kain.... and as of Early this February 2020, the scroll wheel has failed and started doing the basic whiplash/backtrack bullshit stated above. So I just can't justify buying another roccat mouse....
    I've had a myriad of mice before... I mean I have been gaming since the 90's on PC.... Yes I am an old fuck. My absolute favorite mouse in all this time, the 6 or so years I used a Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0. It was the first time you had an optical mouse which could work on USB or PS/2. The later 3.0 version no longer supported PS/2 and using an adapter for me at least made it not work at all. since those days most mice are all USB with zero PS/2 support not that gamer's really use PS/2 anymore. I remember when razer first came out, had me a Razer Lachesis, Copperhead, Deathadder, Logitech MX series (3 different ones, including the 518, forget the other #'s, I'm talking over the course of many many years not recent), Cooler Master spawn, mm520, Xornet, Havok, etc. I mean I can't even remember them all. Because there are just too many. I even had Mad Katz mice which were absolute dog shit.
