  • The Cooler Master MM710 is the lightest gaming mouse we've tested. But at only 53g could it also be the best released in 2019, especially vs the Model O? Well being super light doesn't mean everything so let's get this MM710 review started.

      Haha dude... I haven’t played in a while and legit had to put in some time before recording gameplay. My CS:GO time has also significantly increased since getting the MM710 😅 when it makes your gameplay fun and easy, that’s a good sign the mouse is for you.

    I have three complains about the Model O if anyone was considering that. The scroll wheel feels a bit flimsy and isn't very accurate, the right button started to squeak on mine after a month, and it's a little too tall for my hand which creates a pressure point where my fingers start. Other than that, it's a great mouse.

    2:08 this is such a nice way to compare mice. I have the g203 and this overlay is really handy when comparing my current mouse to the mm710. I'm surprised the mm710 is actually smaller than the g203 in all aspects.
    Would've been been nice though to have a top down overlay view like that as well. Now I'm curious how wide the mm710 is relative to the g203.

    • @wrustee
      @wrustee 4 роки тому

      Have you bought it? How it feels after using the g203?

    • @QPoily
      @QPoily 4 роки тому

      @@wrustee It feels very different. I didn't like the g203's sides which slope inwards so by default the mm710's sides which don't do this feel nicer. The back of the mm710 feels really bulky, though. Think g403 but like 10% worse so you either love it or hate it. Personally I still struggle with it.
      The biggest pros of the mm710 though are its weight/pads, the cable, and honestly the software. The mouse truly feels lightweight even compared to the g203, something I didn't know I liked about mice, but now I do. The cable feels non-existent and the software is pretty much standard mouse software, but it's got this mouse angling feature which other mice software don't, allowing you to change the angle of how the cursor moves when you move the mouse sideways or up/down. Iirc the mouse also has on-board memory so you only need to have the software running while configuring your settings.

    • @wrustee
      @wrustee 4 роки тому

      @@QPoily Thanks for info, I'm using rn the g203 with palm resting on his back hump and claw grip, for me its ok since my hands are 15cm long, I hope i can fit the mm710 in my hand and mentain the grip style I have now.

    • @QPoily
      @QPoily 4 роки тому

      @@wrustee Hope so too. My main issue with the hump that makes it difficult for me to palm is that it's perfectly symmetrical. It's literally like a tennisball, evenly round on both sides, unlike the g403's hump which is a bit more "ergonomic".
      Personally I found the g403 somewhat nicer to palm, as strange as it is.

  • @eltouristoduo
    @eltouristoduo 4 роки тому

    Many of us find gloss a superior finish for best light grip of thumb and third finger grip especially. We don't need any weight at all in a mouse really to point with least fatigue and quickest precision. Just put your hand down on desk without a mouse and do some 'air mousing' and imagine that. Yeah, even less inertia with everything that implies. Better acceleration, quicker direction change (which is also acceleration of course) in all directions. Quicker lift off. I wonder if such a thing as a lift off button has been tried. I can't imagine it not at least being thought of. But idk might be really hard to train oneself to do idk. I guess maybe you can assign a button to jump to a higher resolution only when held, that might dramatically reduced lifting ! or eliminate if you are not circling your view. It that's not a thing, it should be! I know you can switch back and forth with two presses, but that's not the same thing at all. I've only tried the G203 in a modern mouse. G Hub has a command that says "DPI shift" but I couldn't get it to work right. The idea that mice 'needing' mass is a baseless idea. On any axis, lighter is better. This has always been true, we are just randomly paying more attention just now finally. Less mass also has lower grip adhesion requirement, always a good thing. The mass of the mouse causes lateral flexing of thumb and third finger (overshoot and slop). Our hand already has mass of course, and will usually place at least some more vertical weight on the mouse. A virtual mouse with precision does not seem remotely feasible at this time. 50g is fairly impressive at this time I wonder if internal components are lightened in addition to the shell. Love the flex cords. Logitech makes some of the best things but they sorta getting spanked in the lightweight mice with flex cords dept right now. Maybe they will bust out with responses in 2020 or 21, who knows.

      @@OTLSitachi-so1qv this mouse is very accurate. ive had 0 issues with it. its been all around a great mouse.
      i go through mice usually pretty fast. i had a roccat kone pure that lasted me less than a year, i had the roccat kain i got for Christmas, didn't even make it to February this year, the scroll wheel started acting up....
      I bought the 710 in February and I have not had a single issue with it. generally when scroll wheels die, they die between 2 months and a year.... so far its been 3 months and its not broken, so im assuming it wont until the later time frame.
      my real issues right now are my mouse pad getting bear hair stuck in it.... so i keep buying new mouse pads XD

      @@OTLSitachi-so1qv yeah i always buy full desk mouse pads, which gets annoying when my beard hair gets stuck in it....
      as far as the sensor, newer mice all have similar sensors.... they all run smooth at pretty much any chosen rate.
      there is a sad meme where streamers or "professional cs players" will state their mouse works best at 400dpi, this is factually incorrect. you can either have the mouse sensor do the tracking work, or SOFTWARE via the game.... in the case of CS:GO, you can run 400dpi on the mouse then 2.5 in game. this results in a total speed of 1000dpi (for cs you can multiply your dpi by the in game setting). so 1000dpi total, you could just run 1000dpi, and then set the in game setting to 1. it will feel exactly the same, except now the game isn't enhancing your mouse speed, its running a 1:1 ratio. if your game lags, and you run higher ingame sense, its possible for the game lag to fuck up your aim.... granted if you never lag you never have that problem. but its something to think about.
      i bought my 710 from amazon from the official amazon store. when you go to buy on amazon, you can click "see other buying options" and generally there will be one which says "sold by amazon, shipped by amazon" and that's the one I pick. a lot of people on amazon complain of being sent used or open products, but those weren't "sold and shipped by amazon" they were "shipped by amazon" but "sold by *somedickhead*" which is where they got scammed. same goes for newegg. when i go to newegg's website, i always use the search option for "newegg only" which removes all the third party sellers, and i am guaranteed to be buying FROM newegg instead of "somedickheadthirdparty"

      Yah. I would put that to 16,000 so you know when you hit the 7th DPI and switch again to reset the count. It would solve the headache of you could disable DPI levels. I’ll bring this up to CM.
