If this was 2009, she woulda been pregnant and Hardin would’ve pushed for an abortion. Then Landon would step up only to imprint on the baby.

Guys, I was mid-chew when I heard this. I rolled my eyes at her line because of course, but when he AGREED... When he went to his grieving girlfriend who's so traumatized that she can't get out of bed and he basically said, "yeah, you dropped the ball"... I ALMOST CHOKED.
the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Remember how his mom guilted Tessa into staying with harden because she basically improved his mental illness by being in a relationship with him? ick
The audacity
Same!! I was likeeee nooooo, no tf he didn’t. But indeed. He did. 😩

The fact that Hardin was writing this book the whole time puts all their fights into a very different perspective. It’s like he was picking fights to get storylines for his book

The fact that she can't just dump him is probably the most realistic and frustrating part of this movie. It's like watching your friend go back to the same clown again and again and again and eventually you can't even yell at them to dump him because they've morphed into a clown too with how many times they've gotten back together. I want to meet someone irl who has ever rooted for this couple to be together. This movie feels like a PSA for abusive relationships, not some romance.
Just for once I want a movie where the girl has good friends who help her out and than a satisfying end where she dumps one of these guys
@@Laura-gd4ku Crazy enough, I have a wattpad novel like that. The MC has friends who help her leave her abusive boyfriend. Lol one thing I can say about the After series is that it's teaching me what NOT to do😂

The copious amounts of drinking Hardin does just makes me so uncomfortable. An alcoholic family member went completely manic in a drunken state, no matter how much we helped them it just wasnt enough. I’ve had to call the cops on them and I feared for my family’s safety.
It isn’t romantic, it will never be romantic. You can’t help someone who doesn’t want to be helped.
I’ve had this same situation. It’s very traumatic.
I can't believe were still not past romanticizing addiction and its affect on relationships in entertainment. Its such a dead horse and theres more openness and awareness on the consequences of addiction so more people now than ever know the truth about addiction. Theres no excuses for this.
100% true, they can change but only if they really want to
@@elleofhearts8471 THIS!!
@@elleofhearts8471 That horse has been mummified and eaten by the British Royal Family.
If someone published all of MY trauma and sold it and didn't even change my name, that relationship is over for good and if I could afford it, a good lawsuit would be sent their way. Like, Tessa is also interested in English... she could've written about her OWN trauma. Hardin literally steals everything from Tessa: a college experience, sanity, self-worth, AND NOW HER OWN STORY. Don't know how anyone likes Hardin.
Also - the way they recast everyone has me cackling hysterically.
Bring back Dylan Sprouse's character please. I don't care what you have to pay him.
I don’t think they can pay him enough 😂😭 he gives a if I never see this movie again it’d still be too soon vibe
it just pisses me off because HE became successful off of her fucking trauma n shit
Tessas trash too, she keeps enabling his clownass. I have sympathy for none of them lmao
Dylan ain’t making time for this trash
It was such a missed opportunity story wise to have Hardin write the book instead of Tessa. Like imagine: they’re separated, she writes the book as a way to process everything that’s happened to her. She decides to publish it and the book blows up. Hardin sees that she wrote a book and decides to read it and sees EXACTLY how shitty of a person he’s been. Like it’s laid out there plainly for him to see. It would have made more sense for her to write the book and the fact that it wasn’t is such a disservice.
Having an ex take your trauma and profit off of it by revealing it to the entire world is beyond unforgivable
He really said "it's not all about you" in reference to a book LITERALLY ALL ABOUT HER???? I SCREAMED
No fr
It blows my mind that Ned was apparently the head of HR at the Try Guys company and thought he could get away with that bullshit. Like the fact that he capitalized on his public marriage throughout his career on the internet and then publicly cheated with someone who was a lower level employee in his own company (where his own wife works as well) is just major yikes and a huge HR violation. It’s about to get real messy at the Try Guys company…
The cheating alone is horrible, but he also put his best friends job in danger and vulnerable to law suits... Do not shit where you eat!
uk what? they all possibly knew and therefore had a lot of inside joke moments about it like questioning his marriage on lie detector and just acting suspicious. It all just comes across that they all knew and were basically mocking the poor girl. Smol pp low testosterone energy 👎

A blessing in disguise tbh. 🤣🤣
i’m just fascinated rn that there’s four of these movies, 3 was pushing it

I have not read the fanfic and I don't know how this story ends but I can feel it DEEP in my bones that, somehow, some way, Tessa is going to get pregnant and Hardin's narrative is going to be something along the lines of "our live is so pure it cured your infertility" OR he's going to push for an abortion
OOP 😳
The way Hardin literally committed arson and yet the writers still wanted us to root for him and Tessa's relationship 🤡

the try guys drama is so insane to me because the ego you have to have to be a public figure and cheat in public in NEW YORK CITY with an employee who’s also a public figure then calling it ‘losing focus’. then finding out this incident wasnt even his first time cheating and the people around him knew he been sleezy… a mess
and like, the fact his entire internet personality was being "so in love" with his wife is just disgusting.
Woah, it’s not the first time he cheated either?!?
@@mochrimek it was overcompensation not love
Also the sheer disrespect to his wife… like you weren’t even sneaking around, you were literally taking her out on dates as a “famous” man in a crowded city holy shit

It irked the hell out of me how Hardin was like "Tessa is trying to trap me with a baby" when she asked to use BC, and then turns around and get mad at her for a fertility issue THAT ISNT HER FAULT!! I can never forgive the author for setting up Tessa with Hardin who doesn't have sympathy and empathy for her at all, and she dared write Trevor out of the story completely by this point. Reasons why I write a fanfic of this mess 🤦🏿♀️

Bruh, the fact that this story STILL screams "White TEENAGE GIRL'S Wattpad Harry Styles fanfic" when the author's been an adult for a while is Astounding. There's been Little to NO Growth in the writing of this series.
TO BE FAIR, Stephanie Meyer, E.L. James & the chick who wrote 365 Days kept the same level of Mess or got Worse. So I can't really say that the After series author is unique either.
The next movie has to have a twist. Harden is just an unreliable narrator of the whole series and currently in prison bc he was stalking and harassing tessa after the first time they broke up. The next movie shows a court hearing where tessa testifies the years of stalking and how she feared for her live and we get flash backs from her perspective showing a whole different story. Hardens books are ofc crap and will not be published so he uploads them to Wattpad from the prison library. His therapist thought that writing would help him but she reads the shit on wattpad and decides that he is still a danger to society bc he doesn’t acknowledge reality and still his obsessed with tessa.

Hardin: I'M NAH WORTH IT, TESSA! I'M JUS A PIT UH DARKNESS!! LEAVE ME!!
Also Hardin: WHY 'R U LEAVIN' ME?!!
I hate him so much lol.
Just shows he literally is an abuser and uses manipulative tactics to get people to stay with him that's why he was shocked when she left.
My jaw DROPPED when the manuscript read "he tried not to be selfish. he couldn't help think about the little versions of him she couldn't give him" ARE YOU KIDDING ME. AND THEN HE HAS THE NERVE TO PROFIT FROM HER TRAUMA. Boy if you don't AT LEAST give me half of every single penny, I'm suing for everything. OH MY GOD. He was already terrible and then he has a the nerve to profit. Also...real nice that he pushed away and vomited on the black girl he went to hug up on...
I like how Tessa didnt have a good relationship with her dad, she eventually meets up with him again, he wants to be in her life, turns out he's homeless and a drunk, and then he dies and she took all of that better than Hardin just finding out that his dad isnt who he thought he was, which, yeah, is still rough, and you're validated in your sadness and anger, but I just love how Tessa's family turmoil is so glossed over, to focus on Hardin's boring storyline that proves to have no development when we are 4 movies in! Tessa could get her head cut off and Hardin would just be over in the corner crying into a bottle because he got a paper cut.
Cause, like discussed in the first video in the comments, the story is about Tessa, but it's actually about Him. She's a supporting character for him which is pathetic since it took her a hot minute (I was applauding her for every put down she gave him in this) to actually develop as a person which was literally just because he put her through hell
Hardin is such a wimp lol
Hardin: “But but ma rough childhood…”
Well, he also got vetbally and physically abused because of it. And watched his mum get raped. Which all honestly feels contrived as fuck, just like everything about Hardin really. There're no questions or themes addressed in his backstory; the incidents are just designed to be as melodramatically awful as possible, solely for the function of justifying his bullshit (which it still doesn't), and make the audience pity him... but like in a sexy way uwu.
I can't believe that decent shows like "American Vandal", "Sense8", "Glow" and "One Day at a Time" all got cancelled early, yet this franchise inexplicably receives FOUR movies?! 🤯

I feel like Hardin is the type of guy who would go on AITA and ask "AITA for writing a whole novel about my ex, including her alcoholic dad dying, her infertility, while also not changing the names? BTW it got super popular" with a bunch of YTA votes coming in and him arguing in the comments "It's not about her!" until he rage deletes the post and his account. 😂
I saw a bit of the Try Guys stuff and that was a rabbit hole and a half.

The Iranian yogurt is NOT the problem here.
The ending just pissed me off so much because after all the shit that Hardin did to Tessa, HE GETS TO CAPITALIZE OFF IT?? BYE 💀
The way me and my friend were screaming about how the movie just glossed over how he tried to BURN HIS MOTHERS HOUSE DOWN
Like if my child tried to burn my house down, he would not only lose a dad
He didnt try, the little mf did it
Like why, just why?
Big deal, it's just a HOUSE that she lived in 😂 just her goddamn home with all her personal things in it. Probably has all her photos, etc etc. Could've killed the neighbours in the adjacent apartments too, but they're just some faceless normies. They're not DEEP, probably never touched a book in their entire lives. So really, do their lives matter? Do normie lives matter?
Y'all, I had to stop at the line, "It's like it's been taken away from us." Y'ALL. The abusive relationship I was in years ago had this language in it, taking a problem I had and extending it to the abusive partner. I had anxiety and, no joke, the guy I was with said, "How are we ever gonna have kids if this (my anxiety) happens every time (ie: when he wanted the horizontal tango, and my body freaked out because he'd done it against my consent before)?" I know it's just a movie, but Tessa? Run as fast as your legs can take you!
Edit: The end...if the next book doesn't begin in the middle of some kind of slander case against Hardin... 🙃
I'm really sorry that happened to you, I hope you're in a better place. And omg yes, the most unbelievable part of Hardin publishing that book is that nobody canceled him
I’m glad you were able to get out of that situation. You deserve MUCH better than that. Fuck him and everyone like him
Dude, the worst part of this movie specifically is that shows that Tessa has literally lost everything since meeting Hardin, like she was at a good college, she had a good relationship with her mother, she has already been at peace with her father out of the picture, and had a quite good job/internship thing, but she ended trying to put back the pieces of her life, and he still haunts her and writes about the worst and most hurtful parts of her life, WITHOUT EVEN CHANGING HER NAME, like, dude, you have literally broken this girl life and put such a burden into her shoulders with the whole "fixing" shit, and you cannot keep her life at peace, like wtf. And he ends up a super popular writer and at peace with his parents, yet she ends up trying to move on? And, to add insult to injury, there will be a fifth movie in wich they'll end together and I think they have kids, because there was this rumor about a movie ABOUT THE KIDS. Like, omg, this really needs to stop like NOW, and the fact that there's people still romanticizing it blows my mind.
With that being said, Kennie could make anything funny and worth the watch, so I'll have to keep coming back to this anyway lol
If you think about it its really a great commentary on the patriarchy.
Testify! The only thing I disagree with is Tessa's relationship with her mom. From what I've seen, that relationship is just as toxic as Tessa's relationship with Hardin. In the first movie, her mother knew nothing about her relationship, so it can't be said she was trying to protect Tessa from abuse because she didn't even know at the time that was going to happen. Even if she had, cutting her off financially for not listening to her STILL would've been inexcusable since it only drove her further into Hardin's web.
In the second movie, she got worse by getting mad at Tessa for rightfully being upset at her for not letting her father contact her and once again denigrated her relationship with Hardin--again, not because she was concerned for her daughter's well-being, but because she was angry at her for not living her life exactly the way she wanted her to.
In short, poor Tessa simply went from one toxic control freak to another.
Another UA-camr said Tessa wears color whenever her and Hardin are broken up and apart, but when they’re together she wears just as much black as he does like if he really becomes her personality and I’ve been thinking about that for so long.
The next movie better be about Tessa suing his ass for every single thing he's ever done to her, using his damn book as proof
I still really don’t understand why this became a series but at least we get good content from Kennie 😍😍
bc this series is a dumpster fire
At least Twilight had a hook: vampires! And 50 Shades: kink/bdsm (even though it totally misrepresented the community)!

I’m going to applaud this movie for showing one thing: it shows how narcissistic partners use and abuse their victims for for their personal gain, and when they are done with you, they dump you out on the street and move on, without any thought of you.
He used the tactic of being aware and remorseful of his abusive behaviour to constantly drag her back into the relationship. Narcissists often use this approach. They’ll preach about how they know they are awful, and how toxic they are to their partners, that they are not deserving of the love their partners give them because they are unloveable. They don’t say this because they love you, or want to change, they say it to control you. Then the partner thinks “Oh, he knows he is a terrible person, I should give him a chance. My love can save him”. They stay in the relationship, and the cycle continues.
After he has gotten what he wanted from her, ie. using her trauma and his abusive behaviour during their relationship to write a best-selling book, he is no longer chasing after her. He’s now gonna be rich from her trauma that he massively contributed to. And now she is left to pick up the broken pieces. Just as he used her to win a bet in the first movie, now he used her to write a novel👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Somewhere there is a 12-year-old girl who watches this movie, gushes, and thinks that toxic boys can be changed through love. Hell, I’m a 28-year-old and I just *really* learned this lesson. In the words of Aunt Kennie… “HOUDINI!” Get outta there!
The whole “my wife” thing was explained by people in the industry, it was basically his Brand ™, like his work persona. It makes sense bc like Keith loves his wife, but always calls her Becky, meanwhile Ned always just said “my wife”.
Right?? Even with the way he would word it put emphasis on him (I love my wife) so it was a mix of seeming like a good man/husband and public love bombing Ariel to rope her in to their eventual Target brand deals, their podcast under Fulmer Media, the cookbooks, etc. He really sold that persona while being an actual POS. It's been a while since celebrity drama has made me this angry
I know it was his brand but my god was it annoying. Ned was one of the main reasons I stopped watched the Try Guys tbh.
Tbh when I used to watch Try Guys back in the buzzfeed days and a little bit after, I had no idea what his wife’s name was because he just kept referring to her as just, “my wife” so that was all I picked up.
I see it as Keith being more in love with his wife, simply because he refers to her by name and by extension he realizes she is her own person and meant to be respected. Whereas with Ned, he only thinks of her as "my wife" and not her own person to be loved and respected.
This seems to be a thing with narcissists and similar types like Ned. People aren't individuals to them, and these people only matter in relation to them. Outside of whatever the relationship is (family, romantic, friends, etc) they don't matter. Take note of some of the more controlling or narcissistic types and how they usually refer to the people close to them (plus how often they do it, bc it's not weird to call someone your partner, but if that's the only way you talk about them and it's constant, beware)
I think the most egregious thing about him publishing that book was the fact most of those situations had nothing to do with him, it’d be one thing if the book was centered strictly around their relationship and HIS own trauma, but no he’s literally just publishing the potential trauma of her losing her father and seeing him dead, especially considering she didn’t even want to talk to or see him, for the general public to see and he does not care and had the nerve to say it’s not all about you…..like I’m SICK
Right? Like it's one thing for me to write about losing someone I love, but imagine if I wrote a whole section about a friend's mom dying without checking in with them. AND THEN PUBLISHED IT ANYWAY when they said 'please don't'. THE NERVE. "How dare you not understand how your dad dying was part of my character growth" absolute trash.

This series would make a GREAT horror movie, everything about Hardin being an actual toxic and manipulative stalker actually sent chills down my spine, which i guess says a lot about this movie as a whole 🙃
Can I just say, if that were to actually happen with a book, like it being sold with her whole name and life in it, she could sue him.
He literally doesn't have the rights to the story. If you wrote a story like that you'd have to change the names and likenesses of people, or get their consent in writing. Since he did neither, the publishing house would be liable and so would he.
it's the way he's immediately like "aight i'm doing better lemme exploit my ex's trauma (that i'm partially responsible for) real quick" for me

Let’s try again when we’re okay” trrraaaassshhh
This whole movie series feels like a bet between writers to see how much abuse Hardin can put Tess through, without physically assaulting her.
This movie is also a psa of different types of domestic abuse.
Ned's cheating scandal just proved to me that I'm not actually over "internet drama". I will still analyze that shit if its meaty enough and boy is his story a feast. My heart goes out to his wife and their kids cause damn.

@@caithenry8429 I doubt she’d stay for that reason. He cheated on her, that brand image is already gone. If she chooses to stay it’ll probably be bc she thinks it’s what is best for her kids. It’s also just hard to immediately turn away from a man you’ve been with for over a decade.

I think it's extremely messed up to leave friends alone ANYWHERE if you came together. like don't go together at all in that case
Hi!
Even as a professional, you can't save someone you know. Especially if that person is not set on saving themselves. You can't help someone who does not wanna get help.
Girl, if you want to make a Ned/Try Guys video PLEASE GO FOR IT. Honestly, you're the only source of tea I trust.
I would be so happy of she did. It like your cool big sis or( as she's coming into) your wine aunty sitting you down for all the tea you didn't even know you needed to hear while it scolding hot
It's out ☕☕☕
I feel like these movies could be used for psychology students for personality disorder diagnostics practice. Like "is Hardin a sociopath, psychopath, a narcissist or a combination of the aforementioned?" Kahoot style.
I'm just imagining the kahoot music XD
No joke, I read the first book before the first movie came out and, just for funsies, I pulled up a list of signs that a partner is emotionally abusive cuz I wanted to see if Hardin was as bad as people were saying. He literally checked ALL OF THEM. So I pulled up another list from a different website. He checked all of those too. 💀 That's when I knew we as a society were never going to know peace again.
I'd go more for BPD if I'm being honest. His attachment issues, mood swings, paranoia that everyone's his enemy and fits of uncontrollable rage tick most of the boxes on that list.
he was gonna PUBLISH her TRAUMA without even TELLING HER????? i'm not sure i've ever hated a character as much as i hate this man.
there are a select few characters that i only just _hate_ but i *_hate_* hardin scott

SPOILER WARNING FOR THE VID:
You already know they’ll end up together but after everything that happened to Tessa, him using her trauma as a ladder to make his life great is the most angering thing about this whole series and will confirm how the author really shouldn’t be celebrated. This is some deep level abuse.
Yeah when you love someone you want the best for them in any area you can help them in
But this sh*t trying to pass off as romance is just disgusting and infuriating it honestly doesn’t feel like Hardin loves Tessa and is attracted to her and doesn’t love her a person (cuz he would be more respectful) and treats her more like an object of affection
@@flowersandcheesecake1710 exactly!! I haven’t seen a single one of these movies in full but out of the 10+ review vids I’ve seen like Kennie’s, not a single moment I’ve seen of the movie makes me think he actually loves her. It’s just lust. That’s it.
His logic is “chaos is a ladder”😅
The fact that him burning the house down was the most justified/ understandable thing he's done in this entire franchise is a TESTAMENT to what this man is
The fact that we lowered the standards to hell and hardin can't even reach that says something about our loving hero
P.s. he was much worse in the book
How much worse was he? 🤨
@@MTdaBlacking in amandathejedi’s video she includes sections from the book that show more of him being terrible
@@MTdaBlacking you can watch Amanda's videos, she discusses the most problematic parts or Daria's (fulloflit) "I read the entire after series so you don't have to" rant video.
But a few things; in the book the bet was to take Tessa's virginity and he showed the bloody sheets and used condom to his friends.
In AWC we find out that he played these games back in London, there was a girl named Natalie who slept with Hardin and he recorded it without her consent or knowledge, then it went viral, Natalie lost her scholarship and her parents kicked her out of their home, when she went to Hardin for help he basically slammed the door into her face, he never felt bad about it until he imagined Tessa in that position (sick in the head much?)
In AWF when Tessa is trying to find an apartment in Seattle, Hardin answers her phone when the estate agent calls her back and he makes up awful stories about Tessa being an unreliable person and that she was kicked out from several places because she didn't pay and trashed the apartments. And when they have sex in the hot tub he accuses her of seducing him and trying to get pregnant (he forgot about protection) so that he'd go to Seattle with her. There's also a part when Tessa was drugged and sexually assaulted, and Hardin's biggest concern about the whole situation was that he is the only one who can touch her, she's his, no one else's.
In AEH when she tells him she can't get pregnant, he makes it about himself and gets mad at Tessa for taking the opportunity away of him of being a father and of course there is the whole writing a book about their relationship and publishing it without her consent.
Wow, this is a long ass comment 😂
I laughed too much at this because his goddamn name is Hero😭
@@alexlu_ oh fuck I need to watch that. I love her channel and I can’t wait to see her address this absolute mess
Idk about Don’t worry Darling drama, but my one worthwhile takeaway is that clip of Harry Styles in an interview and he says “What I like about the movie, is that it’s like a movie,” and you get to watch the light leave Chris Pine’s eyes as he fights whatever thoughts are raging within him.
When someone tells you they are too fucked up, we’re too different, I’m too bad for you, you’re too good for me etc. You listen to them, they telling on themselves, you believe them and run mhm.
I don't listen. I don't listen😢
Ughh man. The guy who hates himself so much that he starts abusing you is TOO real. I went through that shit and it is the worst.
When I heard that Ned was a Frat guy in college, I just knew he didn’t care about his wife 😩😩
ANY time he was drunk on camera gave me the ick from the sheer amount of frat energy he can release
I went from shock to still in shock to taken a back to acceptance to literally incredibly disappointed with Ned. He had it all, a wife and family, a job that brought joy with his best friends, money, a sense of ownership and power of his career. The audacity he had to do this to Ariel. Even if they were having problems we are not aware of, how stupid can you be, while also be the “head of HR”, have a relationship with your employee??? He threw ALL of into an active volcano. Im also sad because idk if Ariel is going to leave the “you can sit with us podcast”. It’s in my rotation every Tuesday 😢.

tessa spends a lot of time saying shit like "you're better than this!" even though he literally is not. he has never once showed that he is "better than this"
This whole series should be applauded for how it started off as a horrible Harry Styles fanfic with questionable acting to the beginnings of a thriller/slasher movie with either Tessa or Hardin being the killer!!
I think these movies are the equivalent to relationship horror. The same way some people like watching slasher flicks, knowing how awful an actual murderer is... Some people like watching After, knowing how toxic Hardin is.
Is it the door for a new gendre ?
nah i think some people just don’t know what a healthy relationship should be and idolize hardin & tessa’s bc of the angst & drama
but also maybe ur right bc literally how do they release movies that r like this 💀
but at the same time, i think people (young girls especially) genuinely think that obsession=love no matter the behavior, and fantasize about having someone like hardin in their own lives….
@@abbyg5794 same people who read killing stalker and think it is romantic. Although with "after" movies author also thought that she was writing romance or something
Imagine basically torturing a girl for months (because I don’t think it’s been years in universe) and being either the cause or proximate cause of a lot of her pain since you’ve met (I’m not saying Tessa and other factors didn’t contribute but Hardin was the biggest one for sure). Then finally going on a healing journey after she dumps your ass, moves to the other side of the country, starts a new school, and gives up the internship of a lifetime to be away from you. Just for you to write a book about the trauma you inflicted or caused in her life without telling her and for that book to become wildly successful. And you have to never to say not everything is about her?! Hardin can literally choke. This movie should’ve just been the end no to be continued just over and done.
most unrealistic thing is the bidding war over that milquetoast book. He had to be related to someone in the publishing industry or something
Well isn’t his real dad has something to do with publishing according to the previous movie?
Hardin's book is, hands down, the most selfish thing he's done... you could argue he didn't know any better when he was on his toxic daddy-issue mommy-issue spiral but this time Tess straight up tells him to not publish it and he still does 😂 like, if it was a sentimental story, publish it in, like, ten copies and give it to ppl you love or sth... not unleash it onto the world

Okay but that’s, that’s genuinely horrifying to have someone write a book with your life, your NAME on display for the whole world and never even asking you if it’s okay. Someone doing that could literally ruin your life. Everything personal, everything private that you’d never imagine being public just out there as a bestseller.
What I find the most concerning is not this Series exists and is so toxic; not that Hardin did all this over the movies and still got Tessa to want him; not that Hardin wrote down all this shit down as a way to have thearpy and sold it as a book *AGAINST* Tessa's consent, but the most concerning thing to me is that there are going to be gurlies that look at this toxic mess and think and say: "I wish I had a Hardin. I wish I was Tessa". And I do know that for most of them this is wish fufillment, *BUT* there is a nugget of truth in that these girls will see these toxic traits in their future romantic/sexual partners and not pull the plug, but INSTEAD continue those relationships. That's what I find so damning about these movies. Is that there are young people who subconsicously wish this on themeselves and THEY NEED HELP. Because girl that was me.
I think that's the problem with books/movies like these. It's fine to show and discuss toxic relationships, but it's not okay to romanticize them. Like there are books/movies about this topic that will never ever make you feel like "yup that's what I want". And then there's After...
Last year I was roomates with girls who liked hardin and his voice. I couldn't believe it, like full on shook
Oh how I was anticipating the commentary on this bonfire of a movie
Edit: This series and 365 days are battling each other for the crown of ‘Worst titles in a movie franchise.’
No they aren't because the After seris has undebatably the worst naming scheme.
After Ever Happy makes less than zero sense. It's such a stupid title! 365 is going to have to come with some truly dumb shit if it wants to have a chance.
The movie titles just give 'I didn't think we were gonna get this far so let's just make nonsensical titles to fit with the first one's naming scheme'
Like how do these movies make Twilight look almost healthy?! 😑
I don’t doubt Publishers picking up After, but this story from Hardin’s perspective as a novel would be torn tf apart. Ah yes sad entitled white man turns girl into manic pixie dream girl who fixes his life by destroying hers
I whole ass choked on my horribly made quesadilla when I heard he WROTE A BOOK USING HER WHOLE ASS GOVERNMENT NAME LITERALLY ARCHIVING EVERY EVENT THAT HAPPENED-
That’s beyond creepy, that… that is just unhinged
I love your love for the Try Guys mess - PLEASE do a whole video on it, if you want, because I would eat that UP
This!!!
I’m happy to see you talking about this movie, not because I’m interested in this series but to hear you mimic Hardin’s British accent. It’s truly a highlight.
Thanks for bringing up the fact that it isn't our job to fix the self-hatred of others Kennie. I wasted the better part of my teenage years trying to fix people, and it put me in a bad spot regarding my own mental health. I hope your words broke through to someone, so they didn't have to go through the things I did. It doesn't matter if you're in a platonic or romantic relationship with someone. If they are in that state, and don't want to change, they won't, and instead of you helping them, they will drag you down. I'm all for helping those who are down. But sometimes it's too much.
16:29 Please I can't breathe! When she said "f*ck you", I FELT THAT. With her whole chest. Bless you for this amazing video omg. This and the No Other Woman video are gold.
"He couldn't help think about the little versions of him that she couldn't give him" holy crap, am I the only one who thought that sounded narcissistic as all hell?
Yeah! I'm like, you've been saying how much you hate yourself throughout most of this franchise, why is it something you wish at this point to have "little versions of yourself"? Not even the both of you conceiving the hypothetical kids, just little whinie pitiful self-destructive you?
Everything that comes from this character reads off-the-charts levels of narcissism.
If you expect your children to be little versions of you, 1. no. Obviously not going to happen and 2. you've spent this entire series telling Tessa you're garbage? Why would you want them to be like you?
hE tRIeD nOt tO bE SeLfIsH
right? since he thinks about children this way maybe it's for the better if he doesn't have any smh
Stories like Ned make me wonder if I should keep walking around wondering if the next person I put my trust in is gonna cheat on me and be paranoid the whole relationship…or believe life is too short and take the chance

If you were genuinely the only person happy when she left him in that scene, then that is deeply worrying.
If they do create Hardin and Tessa as a couple to end the series, I'm just going to pretend this was the end and Tessa finally got happiness.
Sadly I hate to break it to you, but in the last movie they marry and have kids which disgusts me to no end.
The whole "you are my life-line" in any relationship, but especially a romantic one really 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 bothers me.
Y'all should be able to live as happily and fulfilled a life by yourself as you could with any other person.
A relationship should be two people with content and meaningful lives coming together to share that with each other, not depending on one another to make that life for them.
It's just a huge pet peeve of mine, and when Hardin said that I lost all my shizz.
the real question is…
WHERE ARE THEY GETTING THE MONEY FOR THIS MOVIE?!
and where can i get some?
This is the first After movie that finally gives a close enough depiction of how toxic "Hardin" was in the Wattpad series (he was still worst on Wattpad). None of the other films in the series do this terrible character justice. I feel the same amount of confusion and anger as I did nearly 10 years ago. Finally.
At 22:22 i swear I saw flashbacks to teen wolf I’ve never laughed so hard in my life
The way I screamed when you brought up the Try Guys!! I've been way too invested in this drama and seeing you talk about it makes me feel a little better about how much I'm enjoying it lol (especially as a black woman).. you should definitely make a video about it cause I feel the same way - I'd be shocked and/or upset if it were Eugene or Keith, not surprised at all that it was Ned.
