    specs? Explain what groups are for? Explain how to actually set up multiple wireless systems in one group? Show 2.4/5.8 Ghz operation? Mention that latency has actually INCREASED from the previous model? Less boomer bends, more information that is not even properly documented in the user manual.

    is this overkill for soemone just plays at home?

    • @Millennial_Mike
      @Millennial_Mike Рік тому

      It's not really worth it for home use imho... but it's your money to spend how you like.
      I think you are better off buying stuff by Lekato or Xvive etc... I've used them systems a lot and they're really good.
      The GLXD gear is for professional or semipro performance where there is a serious need for reliability and quality.

      I’ve tried a lot of wireless systems and they all had major issues live. This is the best. If you want a reliable long lasting product and you play out there’s really no other option.

      Hey, Victor thanks for checking out the video! The Old components do not work with the new systems, to make sure that you get the most out of the system, we would recommend purchasing the full system.

    Not that dissimilar to the glxd-16 but way more expensive over £200 more expensive??? It’s going to struggle this time I recon? Shame because the format is really good. The clarity of sound is no different to the first one, neither has the latency, it’s actually worse , new improved battery life 12 hours?? The first one boasts 16 hours??
    WHAT’S NEW VERSUS PRIOR VERSION
    Dual frequency band operation (2.4GHz and 5.8GHz).
    NEW Guitar ¼” input in the receiver.
    Battery now lasts ~12 hours.
    and that’s where this fails sadly,

      This is dual band digital 2.4 and 5.8 and selects a frequency automatically with 2 backups to prevent dropouts. I just watched Sweetwater’s vid with the tech info, this updated transmitter has a max battery of 17 hours. I have the original and have no need to upgrade yet, but I’m glad there’s a future model, just in case.

      @@周维-s4h You didnt read it all. If you dual frequency hop then its going to reduce battery life. If you stay just in 2.4ghz then the battery life is approx 17hrs.

    This was my favorite wireless for years and a staple in my setup. Unfortunately, as the 2.4ghz frequency became crowded i started having some serious reliability issues and drop outs so i was forced to upgrade and went with the QLXD setup. While i love the QLXD i really miss the simplicity and convienence of the GLXD, now that the dual band has beeen introduced i am really considering going back this design.

    • @gear4musicguitars
      @gear4musicguitars  Рік тому

      That's Exactly why Shure Developed this new NEW GLXD+ dual-band system, using that extra band of wireless space means that GLXD+ is incredibly reliable and there's a high chance you would never experience any dropouts at all. The GLXD+ system is heavily influenced by their professional "Axient" systems, they're just a little bit easier to use.

      @@gear4musicguitars Both 2.4 and 5.8 are the same WiFi 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands that basically every single person in the audience's phone is using (or searching for). I'm just having a dang hard time being convinced that I won't have any RF issues in a venu with a couple thousand phones searching for wifi on the same band as my wireless instrument cable. Really love the form factor, but I wish it wasn't on the wireless bands.

    Can I have two systems on one pedalboard? I have a dual-output guitar and run an acoustic loop and an electric loop simultaneously. I would like to have two transmitters and two receivers that don't interfere with each other. I currently use small bud-sized transmitters and receivers, but I don't like the sound on my acoustic loop, or even if I use just one system with my Taylor on an acoustic gig.
