I’ve got enough money to buy any shoe I’d like ( with exceptions of like stupid insane priced shoes like Dior 1s and those stupid designer shoes that are terrible) but I still only wear Vans, I’ve been wearing vans for 15 years since I was a kid.
Black/White Old Skools are still my daily beaters when I wanna throw some sneakers on real quick to run errands. Haven't gotten any crazy colorways of Vans in my life but I can appreciate that they are usually priced affordable.
The first time I bought Black/White old skools was 7-8 years ago and ever since my go to sneaker has been this one, they are reasonable, clean, simple, versatile and can wear it with almost all casuals.. Just love them..🙌🏻🙌🏻😍

Great thing about VANS is you can find them anywhere and go with every outfit. Love that they're low maintenance shoes and getting em roughed up just adds to their personality ✌️
Vans are by-far one of my favorites. My first two real skate boarding shoes were the TNT and Rowley’s. But after that it was the Old-Skool Pro always. Surprisingly they just did a 20 year release of the Rowley.
I think Vans are for most of us one of our first real taste of the sneaker world. When I was in school I had vans, including the famous slip on checkerboard ones! Later in Highschool I got into DC shoes getting my first "high" shoe and now today i'm in love with Jordans/Nike/Adidas.
I actually think the pro and skate classics are a much better upgrade than the comfy cush variants as they come with an even more comfortable removable insole, better materials and a silouhette that stays truer to the classic lifestyle models
(vans employee here) the comfycush is honestly too soft for what it tries to do. from my experience trying on all the cushions, you can bottom out on the comfycush sole pretty easily if you do anything more than light walking throughout the day, while the slightly firmer padding of the popcush and ultimate cush really give the extra firmness you need to have cushion the entire time you have the shoe, and it lasts a lot longer than other cushions

I'm a fan of Vans too! Got my 1st pair since 2019, and it's now showing visible signs of tear literally. Those sturdy pair of shoes have served me very well in taking me places whether it's normal wear or commuting from one place to another. Can't wait to get another pair for dailies other than the one that i own which is ultra range 😙

The old Skools are timeless, but I just discovered the Vans Ultrarange Rapidwelds this weekend. I am in love with them. I tripled up! If you have wide feet go a full size up and never look back! I think Seth just missed Vans Old Skool MTE-1 its one of the most comfortable Vans ever on my foot (2nd to Ultrarange Exo) bec of the new insole. Plus it's waterproof and insulated for cold and warm weather, tried it on -5 weather, my foot is still warm.
the absolutely most comfortable shoes (not just vans) I had were the Vans ISO 1.5. So sad they no longer make them, mine fell apart after 5 years of active service. I walked for 25 kilometers in them while sight seeing Kieva and it felt like nothing. Maybe they don't look iconic but it's the best shoe I ever had.

Had a pair of blue suede No Skool Too that really, really impressed me and lasted for years. After I wore those shoes to death, I had a really hard time finding any Vans that were all suede and not mostly textile. It also felt like they stopped making anything but the old default 'gum' sole. I later found some suede pro's in triple black but the sole wore to nothing in 9 months and the back of the heel reinforcement broke and bits would crumble inside when I would be walking. I miss the magic of the No Skool Too :/
I have 15 pairs of Vans and I will keep on buying them, as a biker they are the best biking shoes I've worn and for everyday usage, they are pretty comfy and still priced well for the crazy standard that people spend on shoes these days.
Vans are timeless , they come in so many color ways/models /patterns /materials. You don't have to worry about creasing them /messing them up because they are so affordable. Not to mention vans look good even beat up there skate shoes there supposed to have that worn beat look .The highest I ever seen vans was the Bape collab and other collabs . They go with literally any style your trying to pull off ,Athlesuire,street wear , skater , etc etc . They are such a versatile shoe and I don't see them going out of style ever . There like the Air Force 1s just timeless .
Man I found some $100 black Taka Hayashi Authentics at Ross a couple years back for like $30 or something and they are an awesome pair of sneakers. Such a cool pickup and one of the very few good pickups I’ve found at Ross. Also not super easy to find online which makes it an even cooler find for me. Vans are so common but also pretty underrated especially the collabs.
Vans are the only sneaker I own, I have 32 pairs in various styles and colors and there will never be a shoe brand as iconic, versatile, and universal. I can find a pair of vans for any type of occasion or activity, and I’ve got the rainbow assortment so I’m never lacking in options no matter what I wear that day. I was always a fan of the Sk8 Hi's. Definitely my favorite model of all time. I use to have a sick pair of Slayer Sk8 Hi's back when Vans use to collaborate with metal bands in like 2008 or 2009. Sk8 Hi's have some of the best designs.
My number one pair of sneakers is the Mens Ked Surfer (CVO and slip-on) sneakers. Keds released them in 1966 with the logo laid into the sole(made 100% flat and using gum). The last year for them was 1972. I noted Bobby on the Brady Bunch wore them. I think Greg wore them in season 1. Besides the flat sole, the CVO uses four eyelets (as opposed to Vans and others at five eyelets).
Wards are my personal favorite, they last long and can do just about anything. Running, skateboarding… literally (for me) can do anything Edit: very durable and very comfortable, easier to break in if you put them in the microwave for about 5-25 seconds (or use a lighter and soften them up)
I was wearing a pair of the canvas Vans years ago when I was on holiday and walked into the sea with them on, let them dry overnight and went to put them on the next day but to my surprise they had shrunk to the point where I could not get my feet into them so I had to just bin them!
You should do more vans videos , vans has some amazing collabs and silhuetes , the vans OG style 36 and the wayvee , the lowland highs , there’s a all vans world out there …
The Pro version of all these is the way to go. Reinforced and have better insoles than the og versions. I was disappointed in the comfy cush version of the era I have, they feel cheap and I also don’t like how the sole is slightly thicker like Seth mentioned.
I had a pair of vans that had a tapestry look to them years ago, and it had a feel of arch support in it too. LOVED those, outgrew them. I now have two of the Vans Stacked platform shoes. I soooo love those shoes. They are the most comfortable sneakers I own and add a removable arch support (feet are extremely flat) I can walk for days in them. Worth every penny. Oh by the way did I mention that I’m 57 lol. I’m a hip old lady LOL. I want more colors in the same style. Try this style, the sole is great because it has ridges that help with slipping. I love vans ever since I was in high school as well. I miss the purple and black classic ones. But the only down side is that they don’t last very long, and aren’t the most comfortable, I’ve even had scars because of them, but honestly they are worth it lol

Sk8 Lows are my fav, I prefer the laces and suede on them. Something a little different to all leather or all canvas shoes. A good mix of things. Though I don’t skate anymore I still enjoy Vans for their style and comfort. A solid classic for sure. Can’t go wrong with them.
That's weird I have the Range Exp that look very similar to the Ultra Range and I now noticed the Ultra Range look bigger & designed more like a traditional sneakers. The Range Exp is smaller and designed to keep that Old skool vans look. I think they're both wide shoes and they fit comfortably for people with wide feet like myself. That's why I prefer the Vans Cruze too CC version right now. They look sick.
Yeah, my Range Exp pair were claimed by a young friend as a gift when I gave him a choice of any of my Vans. And I, too, have wider feet and find Vans fit me better than other brands.
In middle school that’s all I would wear vans, I even purchased the hello kitty themed ones. In hs not so much I was always running so always in tennis shoes but I brought my way back and I absolutely love them

Ultraboost sells at retail, it just cost more . Not as durable at the outsole
My vans lasted me 6 years and held up very well. I wore them everywhere too they’re pretty durable.
Also, vans aren’t uncomfortable if you get the upgraded sole. They used to call it the pro model back then. Now it’s called Cush.

The Van’s Chukka hi is an underrated and rarely mentioned shoe that should have been on this list.
The wayvee is the greatest shoe vans has created in years. Comfortable right out of the box, with the kyle walker 1's a close second.

Sk8 Lows are my fav, I prefer the laces and suede on them. Something a little different to all leather or all canvas shoes. A good mix of things. Though I don’t skate anymore I still enjoy Vans for their style and comfort. A solid classic for sure. Can’t go wrong with them.
You can wear the old school with anything and it looks good! from casual to chiq
That's weird I have the Range Exp that look very similar to the Ultra Range and I now noticed the Ultra Range look bigger & designed more like a traditional sneakers. The Range Exp is smaller and designed to keep that Old skool vans look. I think they're both wide shoes and they fit comfortably for people with wide feet like myself. That's why I prefer the Vans Cruze too CC version right now. They look sick.
Yeah, my Range Exp pair were claimed by a young friend as a gift when I gave him a choice of any of my Vans. And I, too, have wider feet and find Vans fit me better than other brands.

I was able to grab the Vans x FA Ultimatewaffle EXP in December, and they're probably my favorite Vans of all time! The stitching is insane.
