I'll be honest, I was really worried that they were going to joke about this but this was so respectful. The somber "live from new York," the candles, the lack of smiling from wither of them, this was amazing and really well done

I’m 69 years old and have watched SNL from its inception because I love to laugh. I’ve never commented on-line. I can’t adequately express the feeling that swept over me as I watched last night’s opening with the Ukrainian chorus. Thank you, SNL, for spotlighting the Ukrainian invasion in such a simple, powerful way. My husband is 1st generation Ukrainian. His parents immigrated to the US after WW2; they were forced out of their homes by Russian troops. My precious daughter-in-law is Ukrainian. Her family is still there. They are terrified but determined to stay in their country. They aren’t asking the US to send soldiers to fight. They are asking for ammunition to defend themselves. I believe you understand that and others will follow your lead.

I hope I still have relatives in Kharkiv...
I'm fortunate to be able to read, write and speak Ukrainian...
Ukrainians have been oppressed for centuries...it has been the norm, rather than an exception.
Putin is the murderer of his own PEOPLE and that of other countries.
He has stationed 2000 troops in Moldova...
      Without authorization!!!!
      - according to Moldova's president.

      Of your holy rays.
      With learning and knowledge enlighten

Humanity is Being Liberated as White Hat Alliance Goes on the Offensive
      By Benjamin Fulford Weekly Reports
The Russian and Jewish people are finally getting justice for the Holodomor and the Holocaust, mass murder human sacrifice events staged by the Khazarian mafia. This is thanks to a Russian police operation against the Khazarian mafia operating inside their borders. The Russian action against the KM is just part of a larger international move by the white hat alliance to remove the KM from all positions of power, Asian and Western secret society sources agree.
In Asia, an agreement has been reached to unify Taiwan and China and form a friendly alliance with Japan, a unified Korea and ASEAN, dragon family sources say. Asian secret societies say that humanity is now 3/4 liberated from the Satanic Khazarian mafia.
When this is all over, there will be a jubilee, world peace and the start of a new Golden Age, alliance sources promise.
Here is a bullet-point summary of what Russian Presidential Avatar Vladimir Putin had to say about the operation in Ukraine:
This has to do with the entire system of international relations…fundamental norms that were adopted following WWII…came in the way of those who declared themselves the winners of the Cold War…[The Khazarian mafia] had a feeling of absolute superiority…coupled with the low cultural standards…For our country, it is a matter of life and death We had to stop that atrocity:, that genocide of the millions of people who live there,,,we will seek to demilitarise and denazify Ukraine, as well as bring to trial those who perpetrated numerous bloody crimes against civilians…We all know that having justice and truth on our side is what makes us truly strong.

ABSOLUTELY! People are just showing up at Civic centers public government buildings. They're being divided into different groups for military service. Then they sent off to another area where they get their weapon. THESE are all civilians. The people who are leaving are mostly women and children. The president has said that the men cannot leave because he MAY need to conscribe them in order to defend the country. Conscribing them in Ukraine is the same thing as when the US calls up our troops for service into active duty. I don't know if anybody is aware of this BUT BOTH MEN AND WOMEN for the ages of 18 to 60 are to be registered to be conscribed. This was put into action as of last year due to the situation with Russia. As long as you are a fit person and able to defend this country. Then you have to sign up to be conscribed. To be conscribed is the same as when men in the US sign up for selective service. About 17% of their combat military troops are women soldiers. Yesterday sadly they had their first female soldier die in combat on the field. 💔

You know literally nothing about this person or where they currently live and it’s not as if common citizens in the US or other countries can just hop on a plane, go to Ukraine, ask someone for a weapon and join the fight. What exactly do you expect people to do? If the governments of other countries are not sending troops, what can any common citizen do? You think the government will listen to any of the little guys??? Do they really ever? I’d love to hear your solution to this. You clearly have all the answers, so spill them. It’s not as if any of the people on this show can go help Ukraine right now. They probably aren’t even taking flights in there right now unless you are military.

@Jason O'Daniel It touches hearts and gains attention to the problem. Heads of all charity/humanitarian/human rights etc. organizations throughout the whole world could not ignore the situation that gains so much attention. People minds change and everyone start to think what they can do. Do not underrate the power of media (not only news, but the entertainment too). This is the power that made millions of Russians think that they SHOULD attack the neigboring country because “ukrainians are Nazis”, and there are no other way of salvation of their nation but war. Sounds like an absurd, but millions believe this and all Putin’s propaganda right now (I know that very well because I am a Russian speaker and I constantly check their sources). This is what media does, and it is a powerful weapon. And the deadliest.

The narrative of the Ukrainian situation MUST include at least three facts :
      (1) the Obama/Biden support for the horrific 2014 Maidan coup (to overthrow the duly elected Ukrainian government, and replace them with neo-nazi Azov's),
      (2) understand that the Minsk Accord, supported by Russia, deems Ukraine as a neutral country (and was rejected by NATO and the Deep State), and
      (3) NATO's blatant LIE that, after the fall of the Soviet Union, they would not seek to encroach on Russian neighbors.
Consider if a foreign power staged a coup, overthrowed the Mexican government, then put missiles along the Mexican/US border?
THESE are the minimal facts required that must be considered and understood before you make any inferences about what is going on in Ukraine.
Then consider the fact that Ukrainian Nazi Azov's have been bombing Ukrainian citizens of Russian descent FOR EIGHT YEARS without a peep from Corporate media.
You might also be interested in the fact that the US is CURRENTLY bombing Somalia, occupying Syria and contributing to the genocide in Yemen.
      Feel free to share.
