I asked a cast member who works Philharmagic at DCA about Muppet*Vision recently, and he offered some great info. He's been working in that theater for over a decade and said that most of Muppet animatronics are still there in skeletal form. Some of the penguins are still under the stage and Statler and Waldorf are still in their box seats (albeit, in skeletal form). He also pointed out the holes in the carpet near the stage where the stanchions used to go to keep guests away from Sweetums. He seemed to really miss the show and it made my day getting to talk to him!
What was also so disappointing about Philharmagic replacing muppets, was that they gave it a completely new entrance facing the Hollywoodland entrance, so the theater gets so much more packed now. Every time my family took people to muppet vision they’d say “I didn’t even know this was over here!”, which just shows you they really needed that entrance sign. With the resurgence of the muppets fandom online lately I wish they’d just put it back. I just think they didn’t give it a fair chance competing with frozen, when in 2014 there was literally A NEW muppet movie. They could’ve done more

Controversial take here Muppet Vision 3D is also very, very dated by today’s standards. It’s a relic of a bygone era with older Disney and Jim Henson when he still had control over the muppets. Also the dated 3D gimmick of the 80’s. While the muppets are classic and I was always surprised at how many tourists ate up Muppet Vision 3D whenever I went(especially Japanese tourists loved it). However I wonder how much longer it’ll be around for, with it being sandwiched between Star Tours and Galaxy’s edge I had wondered if eventually Muppets would be gone in favor of expanding Star Wars. Considering the Muppets inconsistency over the last few decades struggling to be really relevant and Disney not doing too much with the brand, It’s kind of amazing Muppet Vision 3D has stood the test of time. Maybe it’ll be around forever, or maybe Disney will do something for Hollywood Studios in the future, who knows.

I understand not being able to bring back It's Tough to be a Bug, but they have two theaters not being put to use and I would imagine they would be operating for the summer at least as a place to rest somewhere cool.
I totally agree with you!
how do you only have 1.8k? this content is so high quality, such a great video!
Thank you, I appreciate it! (:
goddamned Frozen
I didn’t notice in the title that it was the Disneyland version, nearly had a heart attack!
Same here!
Sorry for the scare! 😅
A reliable source told me that the animatronics in the balcony were likley shipped to disney world for spare parts
Oh that’s a bummer!
Controversial take here
Muppet Vision 3D is also very, very dated by today’s standards.
Maybe it’ll be around forever, or maybe Disney will do something for Hollywood Studios in the future, who knows.
im guessing that this was a live stream because it shows that chat was disabled, why was it disabled?
The video premiered with a chat :)
I was never a fan of philharmagic, and knowing it replaced Muppet Vision makes me hate it more
At least Muppet Vision is still at WDW 😅
@@FM7Studios for now
The best one was hollywood studios
I agree, it has a more impressive facade and interesting surrounding area!
@@FM7Studios yeeahhhh
they would maybe show the robots were taken out and destroyed
I hope they still exist! 🤞
When tf did it end....
2014 🫡
Mupper 3 d wasn't a success at California adventure..the theater was always empty 😂
And this is why I hate Mickey philharmagic
I grew up on muppet vision 3d, if anyone gets rid of it, they.will.pay
im still salty that Disney World never built the Muppet Land that was supposed to go up at MGM Studios.
Same here, I would’ve loved a Muppet dark ride!
I knew that they took it away a while ago, but DANG, how did I not realize it was way back in 2014🥲🥲🥲
I know, I can’t believe it’s been 10 years! 😅
