i'm a nail tech and you're doing great! honestly, i know how much it hurts our business but getting such a luxury like your nails done is very expensive. i'm happy to see that at-home methods are available and that people like you teach other people how to do it properly.
This is such a nice comment, thank you so much! 💖 I have so much appreciation for nail techs and loved getting my nails done until I started doing them myself. I'll probably still splurge once in awhile and go see my fave tech/friend.
I think the majority of those who do their nails them selves (like me) are not damaging the qualified nail tech community, because we would never be able to afford to have them done at a salon in the first place. We're not being taken away from salons because we would never have been able to have been clients in the first place 💅
That’s it. I’m doing my nails on my own from now on. This is a HUGE money saver. And is perfect for me because I love to have my nails done all the time and I’m very picky. So this way I have full control 🤩
This was a very comprehensive video, as it covered nail dipping, tips, gel, as well as the kiss drill set. I had the drill set but really didn’t know which blades to use before seeing this video. Thank you!
A little tip I’ve learned is to wait to brush off the excess powder, I noticed my brush started getting clumps in it because the glue wasn’t completely dry yet when I was brushing off the excess. I usually move onto the next finger and then brush off the excess before putting on the second coat that way the glue has had some more time to dry. I’m not a professional either and just love doing my nails. I love your videos and how helpful you are!! 💕💕
I ordered mine from Google Express, and got $20 off because it was my first Google Express order. I love my kit! I got the color one as opposed to the french one. Thank you for this video!
Hi missed you hope you enjoy the video! Video starts at 3:10 Tip application 3:10 - 10:00 Dip powder deets + application 10:10 - 17:00 Gel polish application 17:05 - 18:30 Thanks for watching 💖 If you end up recreating this, tag #thebeautyvault on instagram so I can see! 🤩
Be very careful ordering these kinds of items they amazon. These items are not meant to withstand high temperatures, and you have no idea where it’s been )sitting outside for ever,) or what’s inside is legit. For these reasons, as a cosmetologist, I told my sister not to buy gel polish on amazon but she did. Gave her herself chemical burns and messed up all of her nails. Be careful.
Question: I probably missed it in the video so I'm sorry for asking but I'm trying to figure out if I am supposed to use a base powder and the color powder. Did you use the natural color just to make sure there wasn't a visible line? Thank you for the video!!
Soak with acetone and put cotton soaked with acetone it has to be 100% on each nail with foil wrapped over for 15-20min then remove and scrape the excess and file down and buff your nails! This should work and remove any tips! Hope this helped
I have watched TONS of videos on how to do nails, but YOUR video is the only that breaks it down layer by layer. Thank you so much for this and I'll be using this video very soon for my own nails. 😁👍👍
Your intro was exactly what I needed to hear! First time I did my nails I got an upper respiratory infection, next time pnuemonia. Def using masks from now on! Thank you!
Wow! Happy to see you talked about ventilation. Started doing dip in December and was sick all winter. Took me months to realize it was the nail products. Horrible!
i feel like your nail videos have become the most popular ones on your channel because you’re so good at explaining what you’re doing and you go into detail about the steps & they are just great tutorials! i learned how to do my nails at home because of your videos!
So. Helpful. Thank. You. I’ve done dip for over a year at salons and am gonna start doing it myself. I love the idea of putting a gel top coat or color over the dip because I love the strength dip gives me but there’s so many cool glitter gel polishes our there!!! Thank you!!
So glad I found this channel. Definitely prefer you to not go into first impressions because people always do things wrong. The tutorial with all the extra helpful tips and techniques is what I live for!
So do you like the integrity of these nails or the (structure gel base) gel polish nails better? And yes your nail videos are the best! Please give us more!
I prefer the revel dip powder system. Way cheaper and way less steps and looks just as amazing. I am also a nail tech and this video is really good not many do as good of job or the extra steps.
The Beauty Vault review those please 😩 they’re more budget friendly for me I want to start doing my own I’m curious to know how these work. The revel brand she mentioned
Do you find your manicures last a good amount of time? I saw another comment where someone mentioned the revel top gel takes a long time too dry? Do you have the same issue?
Thank you so much for making this video. I am so glad this video showed up on my fed. I learned so much. I just recently purchased a dip nail system at Walmart. And I am so happy they came out with this system. Because for some reason the acrylic liquid irritates my skin around my nails. I always do my nails at home. I was paying to get them done. But money got tight and I couldn't pay to get them done. Now I have the dip system and it doesn't hurt. Again thank you so much for this video and teaching me more about this product.
I am terrified to do first impressions on anything nail related because it’s such a delicate area and the last thing I want is an infection or worse. 😩
First time on your channel and let me tell you I’m in love with your set up behind you! 😍 you should do a video and show us how you decorate and where you shop! You’re style is gorgeous.
Definitely buying this because of you ! I always do dip powder but I moved an hour from my nail tech and don’t have any good places near me all google reviews under 3 stars no thanks I’ll save money in the long run doing it myself
Please please please!!! Please do a budget beginner video. I don't want to spend $100+ on stuff I may never use if I feel like I suck at it. I'd rather work my way up. Amazing and beautiful work btw!!! ❤️
Im Just Doing My Best I bought a beginner dip kit from the brand Kiss at Walmart and Walgreens. They ranged from $12-$20. I bought 2 because the first kit I bought didn’t have the nail tips. Anyways, it was a good introduction to Dip powders. I suck at it right now so I’m glad I didn’t buy the $100 Kiara Sky Kit I wanted lol
thank you for these nail videos, I followed your tutorial and I figured out my mistakes, I had only tried twice before and after two days gel chipped but now it lasts two weeks! next step is applying tips, this video is very useful!
I didn't take you seriously about the dust collector when I first saw some of your videos, but I cough for days and have the worst congestion after I do my nails. I also sound like a smoker or like I'm coming down with laryngitis for a couple days. Definitely getting a dust collector!!
I love how you started this video with thanking your subscribers! And I like your voice. It's not all high pitch and annoying. I was able to to sit through the whole video. New subscriber right here!💜
K373n M00n , yes I like that as well by thanking her subscribers . I think in life people don’t thank others as we should. I thank someone no matter how little they do for me. I thank my children each day that they are good human beings. 👏🏻
This video was soo helpful. I'm so glad you shared some health and safety tips. I was always thought it was important but felt it was 'over the top' so glad to know this is the right way.
Loved this video!!! I wear regular and indie nail polish over my dip powder nails and it stays on like cement over this. No need at all for gel polish! I sometimes wear a peel-off base coat when I first get my nails done so I can keep them shiny and change the polish daily, but then I file them towards the cuticle and put it right over the dip nails and acetone them off. Your video gave me the courage to try dip nails at home instead of paying $45 dollars every 3 weeks at the salon. Thank you!!!
love all ur nail videos! i also do my own nails at home for many years. but for some weird reason i find some kind of joy from watching someone else do their nails. and u never know when u will find a great tip. like the mask. i will be using one next time for sure. my husband uses them for work, yet i never thought about asking him for one. thank u :)
LOVE this product! I just want to add that I am allergic to gels and acrylic but I can use Kiara Sky nail dip powders. So if any of your viewers have the same issue as me, they can probably use this stuff too! TFS. Kisses and well wishes from Toronto XOXO
I use the dip system as well from Sally's. Quick dip. I find that I need to use the activator on every powder layer. Otherwise when I file, chunks tend to come off. I also dont even take the 'excess' powder off. I just leave it on. Great job!!
You did a great job! And I love OPI bubble bath! I recently bought a bunch of nail supplies to help me learn how to do my own nails. No nail shop visits for me in 2020!
hi!! i am a nail tech and just a little tip to save some product, when applying any type of gel polish on artificial nails no base coat is needed because the gel will stick to any artificial surface that is properly removed of shine! On natural nails of course a base coat is needed!
I love your nails videos! I'm going to switch from acrylics to doing diy gel manicures😊 I was wondering, could you by chance make a video about how you improved your nails and grew them out after acrylics? Mine are always so paper thin and in bad condition, I just go back to acrylics.
I ALWAYS come back to this video before giving myself a full set 🙏🏾 I just started using dip powders (I was using builder gel before and that takes me a lonnnnng time) and it's very easy and quick once you get used to doing it on yourself! I love your video, so helpful
Good on you for including the PSA on wearing proper protection for your lungs. The monomer used for acrylics damages the liver and kidneys with chronic exposure, but even intermittent exposure poses some risk.
I truly enjoy watching and listening to you to your nails. I always learn something useful and I totally dig your attitude and commentary. Thanks for sharing.
This was very well edited and I can tell you definitely put a lot of time and effort into this! Your video quality is amazing! Also your nails came out great, can’t wait to try this myself
So question? Are the dip nails a nail building process? I have only seen them at Sally Beaty and thought with all the colors that they were just an alternative to polish. Can you please clarify? Thanks. Great video.
Omg yayaya another nail video! I could watch these all day it’s just so relaxing. Please do more nail videos :) you have given me some great insight into doing gel nails. I have been doing my own manicures for years and have always wanted to try gel and dip polishes and now I finally think I will!
Thank you for your video, and the words of wisdom, I have been doing my daughter’s, her friend and my own dip powder nails for about 3 months now and I have this awful caught since, I didn’t get it the first time but it might have started after the 3rd and I didn’t realize it was the dust powder 😱 😷 from here on. Thank you 🙏🏼
Oh yes, it hits you out of no where! My fiancé has asthma and he breaks out into a cough just walking by my work station if I’m not using a dust collector. Our lungs are precious, we must protect them! 💖
Not sure if you have answered this in the comments or on previous videos and tutorials, but how do you maintain your clean, healthy looking, gorgeous natural nails?! They look amazing.
Idk if this is weird to say but I love watching your videos because (aside from your humor and my love for anything nails) your voice is just soooo soothing 😭
I want to start doing my nails using all the products you suggest this video really helped in what to buy and steps....thankssss😊 you have a new subscriber
I don't have enough time to do gel or dip powder nails (even thought I would love too) because I have a 7 month old boy BUT I find your voice very relaxing and I enjoy your personality.♡
your nails came out really great! your middle nails fits perfect alongside the rest to me lol. I am a bit confused as to why you used gel polish over the dip? isn’t for the powder color to be your end result?
I got my Kiara Sky dip powder set on Walmart's website for less than $100 and it came with the tray. You can also buy the individual liquid if you run out on Walmart's website too.
but the real question here is do they last? do you have breakage? chips? i need a video on a few days later, a week later, 2 weeks later! great video though, girl, you're killin it with that talent!
That's why I'm watching these videos right now lol and reading comments, trying to find out how long till they start snapping off and chipping but nothing yet.
A little tip against spilling the dip powder, set your container of dip powder in a bigger steady bowl (glass is preferred because you can lean on a little plus it is sturdier on the surface) that way what maybe spilled over you can canter right back. 😊
i'm a nail tech and you're doing great! honestly, i know how much it hurts our business but getting such a luxury like your nails done is very expensive. i'm happy to see that at-home methods are available and that people like you teach other people how to do it properly.

I have a question do we have to go over with the gel polish too or was that just personal preference?
@@yetzelinalmaguer1382 it's personal preference because the dip powder top coat does not perform well.
I think the majority of those who do their nails them selves (like me) are not damaging the qualified nail tech community, because we would never be able to afford to have them done at a salon in the first place.
We're not being taken away from salons because we would never have been able to have been clients in the first place 💅

but the real question here is do they last? do you have breakage? chips? i need a video on a few days later, a week later, 2 weeks later! great video though, girl, you're killin it with that talent!
That's why I'm watching these videos right now lol and reading comments, trying to find out how long till they start snapping off and chipping but nothing yet.
@@amandawood419 no one does follow up videos! I've watched soooooo many and haven't found the answer either
Mine last 4 weeks
Wow, they look beautiful!
A little tip against spilling the dip powder, set your container of dip powder in a bigger steady bowl (glass is preferred because you can lean on a little plus it is sturdier on the surface) that way what maybe spilled over you can canter right back. 😊
