Hey guys! :D Wanted to share a quick look at this awesome little game called Torchlight 2 with you! :D As you may know, I'm a huge fan of these little Action RPG/Dungeon Crawler games, and even though I don't plan on playing it as my main game or anything, it's definitely a lot of fun and I thought some of you guys might enjoy it :)
I am a gamer and I really enjoy playing a wide variety of games, so if you guys enjoyed this one I'd be happy to share more, but also if there are other games you'd like to see me play, feel free to let me know! :D
As kind of a weird side-note I noticed that the commentary ended up not matching up with the video very well for some reason, but I was mainly just chatting about the game in general so hopefully it's not a big deal haha :D

Yeah I've been hearing about it quite a bit, haven't done a lot of research yet :)
The fun thing about Zerker is you can just go straight strength. Using Shadow burst and your wolf from the shadow tree to heal and using the chain lightning skill from tundra tree.

I played ALOT of Nintendo through the ages, but PS2 won my heart with Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and clank.

oh yes i bought this during summer sales too :) great game.. having fun playing it..
i bought this game at the steam summer sale and i decided to play the range class. the range class is fun when you do boss fights solo it takes forever!!!

As far as real vs cartoony. I like both. It's all about style and the quality of the animations that really make it. Wildstar looks amazing from a artist stand point.

yeah I love that class the ranged abilities are amazing next I think I'll try beserker it looks fun. Soon as i get more wow time I'm going to try a warrior class I'm used to playing ranged so it should be a whole new experience for me.
I like it even more now.
I wouldn't say better than Skyrim, but I do agree it's definitely underrated and is definitely up there. This game didn't get the recognition it deserved.

Ive always started that character off with as many points into executioner as possible... striking with both weapons and building charge as fast as possible in early game,makes a huge difference (as does late game too)... Engineer is my favorite class overall though... Great game.

Reminds me a bit with talents of D2 witch I miss. I'm giving D3 a chance for now.
I played a lot of PS1 as a kid, no n64 or gamecube, no snes/nes. I'm quite fond of the realistic graphics as a result

you should check out some of the mods in the steam workshop, lots of different classes to add if you get bored of the default 4

I agree with you Baj, thje cartoony style of games is very visually pleasing. I started on the Nintendo 64 but eventually moved to the original Xbox. After that I discovered WoW, and been a computer gamer ever since :D

loving this game so far. i started with a berserker, but switched to engi and i haven't looked back haha =P
this game is actually really fun, and when he is talking about he is level 19 and they are too, they aren't like wow mobs wher eyou can 1shot them with BoA gear you actually have to play well to kill big groups
Got this game when it came out. Engineer is prolly my favorite class. Zerker feels weak to me.
Baj, another cool thing with your pet if you didn't know is that they have a shopping list. And can buy you potions.
fun game, and its good thing you doing veteran, cuz normal is a bit easy. all difficulty change does is make mobs harder, making gear and health pots more important, and decrease the amount of gold dropped (making management tougher). Gear drop rate does not change.
The first boss is one of the harder ones in my opinion. Also, you can have your pet buy scrolls and potions for you when you send it back to town.

You should try the engineer and make a two handed wep dude!
you should look at the mods Bajheera. You can play as a WoW paladin or other class's people have built into the game. My favorite is the War Chief

Do the mage and you can dual wield scepters/wands. You might like that as a range but similar to your current Char.

Still have a copy of Torchlight II in my inventory, after this video I probably redeem it on Steam!
Playstation, PC and Gameboy was primarily my platforms as a kid.
As to style? In the more fantasy/heavy action games (like Action RPG's, MOBA and MMORPG) I tend to like the cartoony style, because I feel that you don't get tired of looking at it as fast.
With spectacle fighters and story driven games like 'The Last of Us', I tend to prefer a realistic looking art style ('The Walking Dead' being an exception), since you don't play them for as long and visual details matter a lot more.

Bajheera, this game is just like the game called Fate on the computer it was a pc game back in the day and the pet feeding it transforms it, is from that game. it is very like that game

in torchlight 2 the engineer is the tanky/2h user. my personal favorite class
I started off on the NES, N64, Gamecube, Bameboys, etc. but I think I like cartoony games because if I can see real life thing, well.... In real life:P I mean I want to see something that I don't see everyday, whether that be graphic or gameplay wise.
Baj are u going to try Wildstar then? Which will come out this winter. It looks like they got a cartoony vibe.
I like Cartoony Vibe also. And I also played Nintin 64, and Gamecube alot also when i was younger.
Yeah, Torchlight 2 has multiplayer unlike Torchlight 1. However, I don't know what it's like, you'll have to look for some videos on it.

Don't forget to get synergies mod :D adds new characters and areas :) good to see people giving this game a chance, it pretty much fixes what diablo 3 messed up.
lost count of how many games you did commentary/gameplay on I wound up playing and enjoying. too bad blacklight retribution doesnt like my graphics card
I also played on veteran for my first play through, but running out of money because had to buy so much pots, so running normal to get pots/cash then run it again to use what you got, or just run normal to gain more. Not noticed any higher or better drops for harder difficulties.
The engineer is the one that can tank xD

yes but this game is finished ^^ and has mod support, and has singleplayer that can be played offline
the first thing i played was a snes but the first system i had that was was just mine was the N64. god i miss playing donkey kong on the N64
Also imo. id build Focus and Vit more if i could repec. reason is that when you have 2 of the same type of weapon you have a chance to "execute" and executing will make your"charge bar shoot up in chunks. when in Frenzy you 100% crit meaning 100% for a % of the Heath. see where i'm going? instead of building Crit you build the Focus to get to the 100% crit faster.
if i didnt explain Focus increases the chance to execute :P

Nintendo 64 I actually still have it. My controllers are completely worn out though you know the movement stick haha
the Eng can get get robots to heal ad do other Stuff with them.just more info on the class

I played a game EXACTLY like this but it was called FATE inste lol pretty good game except I dont think fate had the talent trees and stuff but the pet thing it had and everything
