Each and every item looked amazing on you Alyssa. You were just glowing in this video. When we wear clothing that makes us feel this good it certainly shows. Beautiful 😍 Thank you for being you ❤️
Liked the sneakers with the shorts. Colors match 😉 That denim dress took me back to my favorite Gap dress from my early 20’s. Love it! Those carrot pants! LOVE! I would go for a preppy look or cap toe espadrilles.
I really love that you have a different aesthetic and goals for summer dressing! It is a season I tend to feel most out of place; surrounded by flip-flops, super short shorts, strappy tank tops and sunburns. I dress more classically elegant and cover up to avoid sun burns/ having to use sunscreen on my body (as little as possible). Now that I am maternity dressing… it’s a little tricky. But I’m finding some really nice pieces in my own wardrobe and acquiring elasticated waistline trousers and pants as an alternative to trousers. I never used to wear elastic waists, but now I must!
I just had an A-ha moment when you explained the elements of “classic but undone with a summer twist”. I’ve always liked classic pieces in neutral colors but don’t want to look too formal like I’m heading to the country club lol. Living in Florida near the beach, I want to balance classic and relaxed with a coastal or summer twist (without bright colors or patterns). You nailed it! 😎
Loving the Sezane vibe! I'm in the southern hemisphere and don't buy online, so excited about visiting them instore when I vacation in France in a few months. Somehow I think I'll need to bring an extra suitcase home 😅
Love the breezy dress. The color, material, structure and that particular type of ruffles where they fall on the moreso straight (not rounded) skirt area work well as a “breezy” piece for your type of frame. ❤
Croatia! :D I'm glad you got inspired here! Thank you for the awesome videos - I love your energy and ideas. :)) I've just discovered your channel and it's amazing.
Love that breezy dress. I have a maxi length version and I can’t wait for it to warm up in my area sonI can wear it. Our summers come late, very close to Fall, so I’ve started coming up with ideas to incorporate it into my Fall wardrobe as well. Having fun with it. Great video.
I loved the denim dress, the white shirt dress and the jeans with linen shirt...all pieces that I would incorporate into all seasons by layering, boots etc. I find Summer the hardest to "dress" for, as opposed to throwing on denim shorts, sneakers and baggy linen, cotton top so thanks for great ideas to elevate my appearance when needed 🤓
I love my mini Farrow bag from Sezane. In fact, I am wearing it today. It looks fabulous with an all white outfit. Have you been to one of their boutiques? The NYC (Soho) shop is so quaint. Loved the black top and shorts.
You are gorgeous in everything, but my absolute fave was the A line white dress it looked amazing on you. So many good ideas. Thanks Alyssa for the inspiration❤
Really missed seeing your videos so I am carving time to do just that. Love the dreamy white dress in you and the white shirt with the wide leg jeans. I realize I have to adapt this for my height (5'4") and would need a longer white dress and wedge sandals but keep the same vibe. I do love that look. I have a white dress but may toss a white shirt over it and tie for a new look. You are the Guru of Style! Xo Joanne
I'm loving these Sezane collaborations! I LOVE the things on their website, but sometimes have a hard time figuring out how to incorporate their pieces into my wardrobe in a way that feels timeless. Your examples are so helpful!
Dear Alyssa, your legs 'never' look short...I know you have the in-proportion-to-body shorter legs (like me) but they always look shapely and longer than they are (according to you.) Anyway, the denim dress looks good with the sneakers, don't worry at all. The only look that does not work for me is the flouncy white dress, but that may be because I abhor the babydoll look. Since you love the shirt-like top part - can you try a size down? To me, you seemed to disappear in all the flounce. Again, that might be just my personal preference. (LOVED you in the chino pants...my kind of thing :-) Thank you for always explaining why something works...or doesn't!
I bought 3 baby doll dresses lately, a black plisse chiffon, a printed bubble sleeve polyester, and a cotton tiered skirt one. I am an old lady but I like how cute the dresses are. I wear cutoff denim shorts and lace edged drawers for modesty measure.
CIAO Alyssa, The first dress feature here, drought to me a flashback if my 20 year's, use to have that dress and back then I wore sneakers, and yes, is a classic trend 👍🤟👌
In summary: A handful of basic clothes + a handful of stylish accessories (shoes & bags) = a versatile and stylish wardrobe. Well done Alyssa. A winning formula. My summer wardrobe = 3 dresses, 2 shorts, 1 white jeans, a handful of tops and a couple of cardigans. I limit myself to a weeks worth of outfits per season - why do I need more? I have come to realise that to make my small wardrobe versatile, I need to focus on shoes. For casual wear - I have a navy trainer/sneaker and flat walking sandals For smart wear - I have a tan leather heeled sandal. Your video highlights that a flat everyday casual sandal that goes with my dresses and jeans/tops combo is the gap in my wardrobe. Thank you.
Thanks for your inspirational videos! I am learning a lot from you! In this video I noticed that thejeans are a bit short. Is that still ok? Where is the line between an acceptably short and an awkwardly looking too short pair of jeans? Thank you ❤
Thanks for the mid-week treat! I struggle with summer as well. Love the Chinos and the denim look! My uniform tends to be linen pants and a button down. I have a linen shirt maxi dress that is perfect for summer.
I really love listening to you talk through the different outfits. I’m learning so, so much. And hey, you’re based in Canada so that makes it really cool too. #EdmontonFan ❤
My 2nd mom says to me all the a white shirt always should be in your wardrobe. ❤❤❤😊 Thank you... love the shirts I want to add to my summer capsule. I love Fall/winter and and spring... summer isn't my favorite season...
Forgive me if you've covered this before but have you found any linen jersey tees that you like? I'm looking for some basics but I love the linen jersey texture and look 🥰
My reaction too 😅, but I’m learning, as I enter my 7th decade, to sometimes let the color of my bra show. Especially willing to try it if it is such a contrast that it must have been on purpose, like hot pink. Not interested in showing off my bra, but a hint of color under a linen shirt or open knit sweater is a sexier alternative to showing a lot of skin for me. Love these videos and the comments.
Love this video...thanks for the ideas without having to go floral (which is beautiful, just not something I pull off well). I've noticed what appears to be a light blue button down, but haven't been able to find a video that highlights it. Is that also from POMP? Thank you!
I love a structured dress too but that denim dress reminds me of something I had when I was a young teenager and it is way too heavy for summer where I live. The structured dresses I reach for in summer are lightweight, 100% cotton, or linen. I also got a Tencel button up shirt dress that I will be wearing as a beach cover-up and possibly also as a dress.
Love the styling tips. Even when you are incorporating sponsored items of clothing with such transparency, this does not come across as an advertorial. We have such different body shapes and are of different ages but I gained so much insight into how to style pieces in my closet from this video. Thank you Alyssa.
I really look forward to the end of all these Sezane commercials on everyone’s channels. It feels like everyone was shopping their closet and using their unique, limited wardrobe to recreate online looks UNTIL they got a Sezane sponsorship - now we just have monotonous content where it’s all one brand, not very specific to the aesthetic or integrity of that person’s channel anymore. Just feels so consumption-oriented and like one long ad. Button downs, high rise jeans and boxy cardigans are SO easy to find thrifting or in many of our closets already. I miss your more responsible, creative, sophisticated content.
Bit harsh. You have seen a bunch of Sezane videos from different influencers, but she didn't make all of them. She still makes her "slow fashion" videos. I'm glad you can see how easy it is to recreate the Sezane looks from your own closet. ❤
I noticed this as well. For a while, every youtuber was promoting Lilysilk. Everyone was wearing that blue and white striped shirt. Almost comical. Then it is turn for Sezane whether the youtuber's personal style is a fit or not.
It’s so tough for women entrepreneurs and creators - my only thought is how fantastic that she’s able to produce sponsored content with a sustainable company like Sézane. Good for her! If we want to be able to watch lovely slow fashion content like Alyssa creates (for free) - then creators like her deserve to be able to make a living. Again, good for her and good on Sézane that they choose to sponsor independent ethical creators!
As much as I love sezane, I have a huge problem with their fit (it’s for super narrow figures) and size inclusivity (I’m like three sizes bigger than in any other European brand and they don’t do more than 14 or 16, depending on a piece). So it’s usually a huge miss for me.
You looked great in everything, however, the denim dress is much too heavy for warm summer days. As for the shorts, I haven't seen one person that looks good in that style. If you aren't a size 4 or under, it makes a woman's rear end look huge. Not a good look for most women.
Alyssa-- how about if you take the time to answer questions in the comment section. This is my first time on your channel but I'm on the fence because of your lack of responsiveness.
Maybe she is asleep - time zone differences? I am amazed she spends so much time responding to comments and questions. She has replied to mine. I imagine at some point as her channel grows even bigger, she will hire someone to answer questions.
Sesane is a fantastic brand in that it is good quality and slow fashion at a reasonable price. It isn't like Alyssa just does one sponsored video after another indiscriminately. I truly enjoyed the modeling of these outfits. Well picked.
That denim dress is superb and shows off your legs! Thanks for the video 🙂
The white breezy dress.. yes!! So good!!
Each and every item looked amazing on you Alyssa. You were just glowing in this video. When we wear clothing that makes us feel this good it certainly shows. Beautiful 😍 Thank you for being you ❤️

That denim dress took me back to my favorite Gap dress from my early 20’s. Love it!

I feel you on this! Have fun dressing for maternity - a great challenge and I wish you all the best for your pregnancy :)
Absolutely melted hearing you speak French at the end :) what a great video, Alyssa! And that's coming from a major floral prints dress lover xx
ahhh thank you so much for the sweet words and the high praise Ieva! xx
Really enjoyed how you styled these summer pieces Alyssa. Like your leather sandals, looks cute on your feet.
I live in perpetual summer weather, so THANK YOU!!!

Ha...haha... Alyssa, you look so cute with those summer classic outfits🥰
The pleated chinos look great on you! But, now I realize why they don’t flatter my hips and short torso 🤪
First, I appreciate that you are upfront when you do a sponsored video. Love, love the denim dress and white blouse.

love the versatility you are thinking of!
Thanks Alyssa, I wondered if you would have also used the denim dress to double as a coat/layer by unbuttoning it?
I don't think so ... there is too much structure to it, but it is worth a try! xx
Would love to see a summer staples video for swimwear. It's the one area that I struggle with every year 🤍
oooh great suggestion!
I totally agree ! it's a challenge!
I love my mini Farrow bag from Sezane. In fact, I am wearing it today. It looks fabulous with an all white outfit. Have you been to one of their boutiques? The NYC (Soho) shop is so quaint. Loved the black top and shorts.
i'm so glad you like it! I haven't been to their boutiques yet - hope to get to the NYC one next time I visit!

Also, I cannot wear denim @ summer. But I do wear a light fabrics, like Chinos.
I just received my 3 much needed belts from Brave. They are absolutely gorgeous and I love my initials engraved in them. Just beautiful!! Thank you!!

That beautiful long black dress you bought last summer (in Italy?) is you.
Loved both dresses. 😊

ahh yes! That's actually a thrifted men's shirt!
Love, love the breezy dress on you. What size did you end up taking in the crop jeans?
I ended up with a size 2! For reference I am a 26 waist normally in denim!
I love a structured dress too but that denim dress reminds me of something I had when I was a young teenager and it is way too heavy for summer where I live. yes! this one is more structured and best for evening or cooler temps in the summer!
But some watchers live in areas where summertemps are a max of 25C and mostly 16 -18, or generally 60 - 70 with occasionally 5 days at 80F
Love the carrot pants! Where are they from?
thank you! They are from an italian brand called Nicla!

It is the Bari from Emme Parsons!
@@AlyssaBeltempo Thanks so much!!! Love your videos!!!

I’m not sure about that denim dress on you … shoulders look much havier than the rest :/
That was my first impression as well. There is too much fabric on the shoulders. Also the dress looks so stiff.
Isn't continually encouraging people to buy new clothes from Sezanne go against your brand mission?
These don’t look like summer clothes.
I am disappointed. This was a comercial video. I like the brand sezane but your other type of videos are more fun

I got the opposite vibe. I love her personality and I think she did just fine in this one. She focused on style and structure as usual.
A bit boring and flat. In summer you should definitely dare a little more colour. Maybe a splash of fuchsia, red or turquoise.
Or a Hawaiian Shirt! 🎉
Agreed. Summer for me means freedom and fun. Not stiff jean dress for sure.
Sézane clothes are pretty darn expensive. 🫤
. but good value for money🤓
They are, but they are exceptionally good quality. I saved money to buy a couple of pieces and I was really wowed by them
Same. I’d rather have less pieces but higher quality. Sézane does a great job with quality wardrobe staples with a twist.
...yeah and they never do discount codes unfortunately
