⚠️ For those who are asking if there is a continuation of The Seed of Juna. Long story short:
We tried to produce the TV series back in 2020. Sadly, in the middle of the pandemic and with a very competitive landscape for adult animation, we were not able to make it happen.
The good news is, even more if you are a gamer, we decided to put our efforts into creating a new franchise, always inspired by the Lovecraft and biopunk HR Giger genre.
This new story is called CRETE, and will become a cooperative tactical videogame, and while it is not exactly The Seed of Juna, there is a clear intersection fundamentally inspired by Juna's universe.

The Seed of Juna is an adult animation pilot for a future full-length feature film that follows a young girl, who wakes up on an alien planet after being killed on Earth and is determined to revenge her executioner, whatever it takes.
Inspired by the mystery of “Lost” and “Cube”, pushed by the visual legacy of H.P Lovecraft and H.R Giger, and influenced by the character development of “Evangelion”, Juna's story absorbs you into its horrifying but beautiful post-apocalyptic universe where only the strongest can survive.
The project is created and directed by an independent filmmaker and VFX artist Álvaro García Martinez. Álvaro directed and produced an award-winning short animated film SUMER and worked on visual effects for The Jungle Book, Ready Player One, Avengers, and Pacific Rim.

Not entirely sure what I just watched, but it looked really cool!
It's simple. A young woman rebelled against everything and was sent to hell where she faced off against a horde of grey people in a meat dress. What's not to get?
It's difficult to reveal the entirety of a story in 13 minutes but there was some character development to create part of the story. This part was more of less like an outline of the big picture. As mentioned by Greel, this is about a young woman who rebelled against an instituted order which create a battle of wills. Who this woman is, where this story take place, and who the adversary is has yet to be revealed. I confess, my first thought after viewing this was, how odd. However, when the other important details are revealed it may begin to make more sense. I think this has much potential.
If it looks cool but makes no sense it must be punk.

It could be a metaphor for a girl's emotional battle with a community she no longer wants to be a part of but the male leader keeps trying to possess her unwilling to believe her commitment to he and his community's destruction.

The fact that it took 3 YEARS for the algorithm to show me this masterpiece, proves how broken it is.
This is some truly amazing content, and I for one cannot believe it's free to watch. This is professional level CGI, camera work, audio, story telling, sound mixing and so much more. This isn't just amazing- it's fucking mind blowing. I've never seen Lovecraftian themes handled better, let alone outside of Hollywood. This is a piece of art, and I cannot wait to see what else your studio produces.

This is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. It’s a masterpiece. It’s nice to find people that understand that horror isn’t just “scary” or “creepy” but truly horrific. I watched another video referring to this as a pilot. If this is going to be a series I want to see it!!! This type of animation is just so perfect for the sci-fi/horror genre. Bravo!!!

I can't get over how much I love this... I've watched it at least 70 some odd times by now within the last two years or so. My god how I wish this was a series or a game, although honestly a series would be better. Such a fascinating world to develop and lore to explore. I'd give a left nut to see it happen, 100%.

No idea what the hell was going on here, but damn did it look good doing whatever the hell it was doing. Especially from like 1:30 to 2:30, with those filters, I swear this legitimately looks like an actor in a costume. The translucency on these materials, the sub surface scattering, it is really taken to the next level and so far beyond that.

Would love to see more and where it goes, how it started, and how it ends, if it ever ends. This is truly a gem that just keeps you wanting more. Remarkable.

Bravo. Everything from the lighting, designs, sound design, camera movements, choreography, EVERYTHING! This short feels so visceral and raw in a very disgusting and brutal way. No big budget studio would ever let something like this be a full fledged film (kinda feels like aside from anime, the only big budget adult animated films will ever be greenlit are comedies) You truly have something special and unique here.

Although not for the faint of heart (I made certain not to watch this at night, because I knew it wouldn't let me sleep) both the story and artistic background are superb; the artistic design looks like a mixture of Dune and that Scorn game; absolutely amazing. You also did a great job of piquing my curiosity about the backstory and the biochemical placentas. Keep up the great work!
I liked it. I just wished there wasn't so much post-processing effect like lens flare,lens dirt, grain, chromatic aberration. I feel it makes a lot of shots kinda blurry and like there is always something between me and the action.
