They would've gotten away clean otherwise. Great animation, design and story but the weak spot is actually the main character. Let's hope they have an arc for her so she is held accountable.
Even at the start she was acting like a little bitch. I initially chalked it up to pre-battle nerves but after the 2nd half, it clicked. She was just a whinny brat. This was one of the most impressive sci-fi short movies I've ever seen. I don't know what you guys are doing whether it's a Sci-Fi Series or an upcoming game but I wish you the best and I encourage you to keep moving forward.

Impressive animation sequences. I am not sure if the "Lumivore" is a plague caused by the evolution Yosu was seeking accidentally released. From what Kenzie saw of the court case; plus the scene of that military officer; I suspect the military interfered and caused the disaster, then blamed it on him to cover their asses.

" stop it! " All while doing nothing.

I was genuinely angry by the end. If she hadn't constantly tried to go against him, they would have both made it. But she had to argue 10 times in different spots and wasted so much time. Never take a whiny girl as teammate, lol just gets you killed.
The production values are really good but I really did not like the Kenzie character. Super annoying. I get what you guys are trying to do by giving her an emotional dilemma, but she doesn't overcome it on her own and acts in a really unreasonable way that makes her seem unlikable and untrustworthy, especially for a mission of such importance.

Infinite kudos to the team who put this together. Incredible amount of work and talent went into creating this, the CGI graphics are 1st rate, character development well thought out, it's all good. Following the storyline gets a bit jagged at some moments, more time for this production could have expanded backstory and supporting characters to fill in those elements, but all said, congrats on a well done production. I'm surprised this hasn't appeared yet on DUST . . . best of luck to you all.

the cg water is like magic. Remember the first time I saw Jurassic and researching how the CG was done...Silicone Graphics was top in the industry....All this ..a long way from the first Jurassic Park.

Kenzie you can debate about killing the dude after you find out what happened which is the whole point you are even rescuing him. Now you have to live with the guilt of killing your partner.
Except for the character development, it’s obvious you guys will get much better with time …but the art, photography, set design everything else is top notch. This as a series would have me GLUED to the screen. Just hire a seasoned tv writer, spend enough money for rewrites and IM SURE POSITIVE this will go insanely viral worldwide. Great music also inserting classical Beethoven in there was a nice touch.
I'm just finding this and already it looks amazing. The animation is smooth, the characters are sharp, the dialogue is realistic. And it just me or is some of the score inspired by Ace Combat?
Very nice effects, good animation. On a technical level, this is amazing for an indie project. The story however... very disappointing. Makes absolutely no sense and reeks of anime bs. Why does a random kid and a ragtag group of who-knows-who, have access to so much resources and assets? They launched so many rockets and for what exactly? They were waiting for a patrol to do their launch so that they could be spotted and alert the prison that they are coming? What was the point of any of that? Why did the emp barrier thingy affected the aircraft, but not their ground vehicle? Why are they even doing this in the first place? Because some random teenager wants to know who was behind the explosion? Clearly the government caught the perpetrator, so why would she not know who was behind it? Was it made a secret? Why? For what purpose? Entire premise makes absolutely no sense. Then of course the whole anime bs, where two teenagers take out the entire security force of the most advanced prison complex ever? Yeah, right. How do they even have so much intel on the place and at the same time, don't know who was behind the explosion? Why are they even trying to prison break him in the first place? Then there is the whole cliche of narrating everything that they are doing during the launch sequence. Completely unnecessary and it only takes away from the scene. You have the tech locked down, but you might want to hire a different writer. Anyway, good luck with the project.
@@Boris_Chang Better writing, better visuals, and being far more creative with less kinda like old Hollywood used to do. yes there is a lot of garbage too. At least we can choose not to watch it but Hollywood makes its and advertises it and tries to SELL it to us even when it is not good. Keep in mind, even if it's on some streaming sites or open air television signals you are paying by having to watch ads to pay for that content. On youtube many of these fan made projects can't profit but UA-cam or the original owners get paid and not the Fan who made the content because it's licensed. So doing honor to the source content is hard when you have fewer resources than this large corporations. So yes, it's because of the limitations that makes them better in the end. The amount of folks that are doing fan made content are doing better most often more and more with these limitations making them better than most of the license holders.

Everything was good until Kenzie started acting like a stupid spoiled baby...really irritating...really screwed the whole story imo. No good soldier would ever act like that regardless of some vision. She should have never been on that mission. A thorough psych eval should have washed her out a long time ago...in galaxy far far away...
You put a lot of effort into this. Technically it is very good, materials, lights, movements, etcetera. But, sorry to say, it is, as a story, as a movie, very underwhelming. You glued a ton of standard action scenes we have seen a thousand times together, without any world building, anything that motivates the audience to follow your story and the characters. This lasts 28 minutes and one won't remember 1 of them. Except for being bored after 2 minutes in, since there is no emotional connection to any of the characters, because they are just hollow drones that no one knows. Except for being annoyed by the supposed heroine who is constantly sabotaging the mission, in a hostile environment, in a live-or-death situation. Scenes that are not making sense - are they visions, dreams, telepathic projections, whatever ? Talking and decision-making during a battle against a superior, deadly enemy. The first scenes are inconsistent, people are running around in a rubble, but are supposed to be annihilated in an explosion that happens - or happened ? You created something, but I think you have to rework it heavily. I don't want to insult you, you are definitely very talented, and very determined. But you need negative feedback. And yes, I know, Chinese movies have a slightly different cinematic language than Western movies. But this movie is not claiming to be that different.
Wow, how are small independents so consistently better than giant heavily funded studios!? Although, I think it's unanimously been decided, Kenzie is super annoying. 😅
Very good video quite impressive at times and i`d certainly watch a part two...i did find the girl to be a bit of an idiot though,all her arguing and delays are the reason the guy dies if she had done what he said from the start they`d have been gone before the killer robot(?) even turned up....
I really hope there is a part two to this story. I was engrossed in the story and art and animation. Just a wonderful experience.

I feel bad for modern astronauts who have to settle for baggy gear that doesn't accentuate their curves.
Infinite kudos to the team who put this together. Incredible amount of work and talent went into creating this, the CGI graphics are 1st rate, character development well thought out, it's all good. Following the storyline gets a bit jagged at some moments, more time for this production could have expanded backstory and supporting characters to fill in those elements, but all said, congrats on a well done production. I'm surprised this hasn't appeared yet on DUST . . . best of luck to you all.

Except for the character development, it’s obvious you guys will get much better with time …but the art, photography, set design everything else is top notch. This as a series would have me GLUED to the screen.
Just hire a seasoned tv writer, spend enough money for rewrites and IM SURE POSITIVE this will go insanely viral worldwide. Great music also inserting classical Beethoven in there was a nice touch.
I'm just finding this and already it looks amazing. The animation is smooth, the characters are sharp, the dialogue is realistic. And it just me or is some of the score inspired by Ace Combat?
For some reason I want a LEGO of all the equipment the team uses. Including the big truck with the big rocket inside.

Very nice effects, good animation. On a technical level, this is amazing for an indie project. The story however... very disappointing. Makes absolutely no sense and reeks of anime bs. Why does a random kid and a ragtag group of who-knows-who, have access to so much resources and assets? They launched so many rockets and for what exactly? They were waiting for a patrol to do their launch so that they could be spotted and alert the prison that they are coming? What was the point of any of that? Why did the emp barrier thingy affected the aircraft, but not their ground vehicle?
Why are they even doing this in the first place? Because some random teenager wants to know who was behind the explosion? Clearly the government caught the perpetrator, so why would she not know who was behind it? Was it made a secret? Why? For what purpose? Entire premise makes absolutely no sense.
Then of course the whole anime bs, where two teenagers take out the entire security force of the most advanced prison complex ever? Yeah, right.
How do they even have so much intel on the place and at the same time, don't know who was behind the explosion? Why are they even trying to prison break him in the first place?
Then there is the whole cliche of narrating everything that they are doing during the launch sequence. Completely unnecessary and it only takes away from the scene.
You have the tech locked down, but you might want to hire a different writer. Anyway, good luck with the project.
I am interested now. Hopefully part 2 is in the making.

@@Boris_Chang Better writing, better visuals, and being far more creative with less kinda like old Hollywood used to do. yes there is a lot of garbage too. At least we can choose not to watch it but Hollywood makes its and advertises it and tries to SELL it to us even when it is not good.
Keep in mind, even if it's on some streaming sites or open air television signals you are paying by having to watch ads to pay for that content. On youtube many of these fan made projects can't profit but UA-cam or the original owners get paid and not the Fan who made the content because it's licensed. So doing honor to the source content is hard when you have fewer resources than this large corporations. So yes, it's because of the limitations that makes them better in the end. The amount of folks that are doing fan made content are doing better most often more and more with these limitations making them better than most of the license holders.

Everything was good until Kenzie started acting like a stupid spoiled baby...really irritating...really screwed the whole story imo. No good soldier would ever act like that regardless of some vision. She should have never been on that mission. A thorough psych eval should have washed her out a long time ago...in galaxy far far away...

It's reality some people breakdown at the worst moments.
You put a lot of effort into this. Technically it is very good, materials, lights, movements, etcetera. But, sorry to say, it is, as a story, as a movie, very underwhelming. You glued a ton of standard action scenes we have seen a thousand times together, without any world building, anything that motivates the audience to follow your story and the characters. This lasts 28 minutes and one won't remember 1 of them. Except for being bored after 2 minutes in, since there is no emotional connection to any of the characters, because they are just hollow drones that no one knows. Except for being annoyed by the supposed heroine who is constantly sabotaging the mission, in a hostile environment, in a live-or-death situation.
Scenes that are not making sense - are they visions, dreams, telepathic projections, whatever ? Talking and decision-making during a battle against a superior, deadly enemy. The first scenes are inconsistent, people are running around in a rubble, but are supposed to be annihilated in an explosion that happens - or happened ?
You created something, but I think you have to rework it heavily. I don't want to insult you, you are definitely very talented, and very determined. But you need negative feedback.
And yes, I know, Chinese movies have a slightly different cinematic language than Western movies. But this movie is not claiming to be that different.

Very good video quite impressive at times and i`d certainly watch a part two...i did find the girl to be a bit of an idiot though,all her arguing and delays are the reason the guy dies if she had done what he said from the start they`d have been gone before the killer robot(?) even turned up....
