I truly believe this song is about emotional trauma. Loss of loved one’s are the number one cause for emotional trauma, it’s also the number one cause for homelessness and drug abuse and mental illness. All of it goes hand in hand. Emotional trauma stunts the brain to the emotional age it happened. Listen to the lyrics.. it’s all right there. Lost behind, words I can’t find, left behind, seasons roll on by… Emotionally wounded child crying out and not a soul sees him truly for what he’s saying. He’s telling you he’s wounded, it’s a blues rock and roll song, he’s singing to that broken piece of himself. Personal, yet beautifully sound and nostalgic to the roots of where rock and roll came from, an amage to his hero’s, placing the broken part of himself as one of his hero’s in the process. Genius.
Thank you for uploading! So beautiful to go full circle and see all the beauty in life. We are left with the sore loss of death and decay and never actually go back and view the good and the growth. It’s all one system or circle of all biological life and it’s all connected. Leave yourself with the good memories and it’s as if they never died. You see, this IS why the young choose to die young, they don’t know how to reflect back, and when you do drugs you lose your memory and ability to reflect even faster as you age faster then normal, you lose the ability to recognize the beauty in life because your too hurt from the pain as your body gets weak and your mind withers. It’s ok to die guys. This man bloomed and flowered and lived his life, it’s your turn now. To live your life that is.
Each time I see his face and he sings with such a perfect pitch..and then ends it as he does here, and that small very noticeable SMILE pops up...I melt.. Loud Love ...I will always Love You!!
Poor Robert Plant...Chris absolutely made this song so incredible no one will ever be able to touch it. What a beautiful, sweet, gentle soul he was. Never arrogant or presumptive, just humble and down to earth. I was blessed to see Soundgarden live twice in the nineties and always believed they were the most genuine of the bands from the grunge-Era. RIP...We will always love you.
If you actually thing cornells version of in my time of dying is better than the 1975 Earls court version you need an MRI amongst so many other things. Figure it out!!!
Some people are just born to be absolute legends.
The world is not a better place without Chris... voice of an angel.

Such a beautiful talented soul. My heart is still broken.
Some of us will.never get over his death. Such a tragic loss.
Rest in peace oh sweet soul. You will be forever missed. There will never be another that could hold a candle to you. 😪
He used 3 different guitars for this song, was a soundtrack for a movie. He played the 3 of them and overdubbed. This song is amazing.
Thinking of you today ❤️
Chris must have loved Zeppelin.
Best ever, gave us so much joy. RIP great one
