It is a very nice box. I am however a little conflicted mostly due to the video title. While the box did have mitered edges, by the time the box was completed with the round overs and slab end panels none of the miters are visible. Still a very nice box.
I had the same thought at first, but then realized - the point of the miters is so there are no visible joints at the long edges, nor are they visible from inside the box. A very clean look in what appears to be a simple box build. It is - simply lovely. And that finish - wow. I have bottle of that stuff on my shelf I used for a maple cutting board - it works so much better on darker grain.
Very unusual method of grain wrap and cutting , great looking box when completed. Thank you
GREAT!

Looks good.
I wonder what the routered would be like on a conventional built box?
Has anybody ever tried that?
Very nice work. I like that idea a lot.

The edges of the panels are mitered, which gives it the tight continuous grain.
@kirkfranks1 maybe thats why the title is a "different kind" of mitered box? 🤔
@@danmcdan8278 what is the name of that finish? Can't quite see it in the video.
Nice work 👍

Nice
Thanks
I'm guessing that gorilla glue must be very good if you're trusting it to hold the box together.
@@hunglikeahamster yes I have stuff I built over 10 years ago still holding strong
