My husband thinks things magically appear, too! Clean clothes in the drawers, clean dishes, groceries.... it's magic! We've been married 20 years.

For over 30 years, we've had separate tubes of toothpaste. It's the age-old battle of squeeze in the middle or squeeze from the bottom. I scrape my toothpaste tube on the edge of the counter to keep the toothpaste at the top. Now, if you want to discuss bath and hand towels....I haven't touched them in those same 30+ years. Hubby's OCD has a whole ritual for washing, folding, and storing the towels. One less thing for me to do. 😂

Hi my dears. 😂😂😂you crack me up 🤣. Thanks I needed that laugh. My darling husband does a lot for me, especially for the last 4 years. My fibromyalgia has gotten worse. Sometimes the floor doesn’t get swept, dishes sit in the sink, windows are dirty, but I don’t complain. He’ll do it when he gets around to it. My moto is “ if you come to our house just to see what kind of housekeepers we are, you can turn around and go out the same door you came in”. 😊 God’s blessings to you on this Easter weekend. LOL exactly! I like having a house where people come over and see that we’re real and don’t feel like they have to clean like a madman if we come over to their house. Pressure is off if you’re both agreeing to normal and caring about the people vs the home ❤️

Yes Steph, it's like that at our house too.
My dad didn’t do anything for himself from childhood till death. His mother did everything and when he married my mom she picked up everything. He had a heart problem and was given chores to do and he never had done any of them. He invited people over for coffee and my mom wasn’t home and he didn’t know how to make coffee 😅😂
It’s that way with food in our house…I’m always the grocery shopper and I do all the laundry and I know where is everything is

I don't know how, but we had a roll of dental floss that just never ran out. I was thinking we're not flossing enough. But I don't think that is totally the case because I'm constantly getting new floss now. Also, this conversation reminds me of my dad. He would leave a 1" ×2" piece of cake or pie whatever dessert there was. He always said "oh I'm saving some for others." His wife said," no you don't want to clean the pan." 😂😂

A few years ago..like 15…I started to have my kids and my husband do their own laundry. They were highly capable and they all felt empowered. Your video made me think about that.

We each surely have our strengths in a marriage, & the best part is when we acknowledge it w/out shame or guilt. That being said, it doesn't mean I don't get put out/grumpy once in a while, depending on my state o' mind that day~ let's be real, right?
Women (generally) tend to be more detail oriented, & guys are bigger picture/black & white. We complement one another, ideally, & take care of each other in very different ways~ & some of the same ways too, actually.
*As for the toothpaste ninja stuff, I've been known to cram my toothbrush bristles down into the opening & smush it around, when it's really, REALLY gone & no more can be forced out by any means🤣
I have a $5 rule for whether or not I cut a container open~ whether it be tube, bottle or whatever. If I paid more than five bucks for it, I'm getting there for every last bit dangit! I also add water to liquid soaps & such, especially considering they're often way more concentrated than we have a need for~ oh heck yes I thin that stuff out, especially because we buy better, more natural products these days, so they cost more & I'm Frugal Fran all the way. I tried this point also with my husband and he told me to go change the oil in the truck.
My husbands name was Steve. He passed away 9 years ago. We worked different shifts and he would call me constantly asking where was the peanut butter?! I purposely would put it in the pantry at eye level so he would see it when he opened the door, but he still wouldn't see it! When he called I'd say "It's right in front of your face!"
LOL is it husbands or Steve’s? My dad is also a Steve and suffers from the same blindness 😆
I was spoiled. My husband was really good at replacing things if he used the last of anything he replaced it.
I have seen every one of your videos and this is the funniest of them all!!!!! It's hilarious but when you really think about it, this is one of our unsung superpowers. My husband and I have been married 43 years. My husband (sorry Steve) will certainly put up the next roll, replenish the soap or toothpaste or get the new bottle of ketchup from the pantry. What he doesn't really think about, is that considering the hundreds of consumable items that a family uses on a regular basis, we've very rarely run out of anything. There has always been a new one before the current one is totally gone. With budget concerns and sales, available storage space, frequency of use, shelf life, and many other factors, the inventory management skills it takes to successfully run a household, are significant. And for most of our lives there was No app for that! Much respect to all of the women who are "professional homemakers."

I flatten the toothpaste tube with the handle of a toothbrush but I don't put it on the wall to do that. Why on the wall? I just lay it down on the counter. My husband has thrown a tube of toothpaste in the garbage and I have retrieved it and used it several more times before it's completely empty.
Maybe because she brushes in the shower? Most showers don't have enough flat shelf area to do that, I would think.
Right there w/you on retrieving & using~ heck yes! We're usually the ones paying attention to how much that stuff costs, right?! Love it.
Yes I’m in the shower (and the other bathroom I don’t have a counter). The kitchen toothpaste I do on the counter though! (I generally brush ny teeth in the kitchen in morning while my coffee is brewing so I don’t wake anyone else up if they can sleep. Since carnivore I usually wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed at like 4am! 😆

I lay the toothpaste tub on the vanity and use my toothbrush to push up like you do Steph.
Once while stuck on the mtn during a week long winter storm I used my rolling pin after submerging the tube, upside down, in several glasses of warm water. Worked great lol
Lesson learned tho, I haven't been caught without paste again lol

Hilarious. Temu have a toothpaste roller thingy. Amazing for getting every last bit out of the tube. Think I paid $2 AUD
I do the same thing, but it's because I'm just thrifty. I buy new ones when I'm on my last couple squirts of toothpaste. My daughter adds water to shampoo, dish soap, etc, then it gets magically replaced my me (mom.) 😊

My hubby has his own toothpaste at his sink and his own soap in the shower. He likes Irish Spring, I like unscented Dove, Ivory ect. He replaces his when my, I replace mine 🤷♀️
You can make toothpaste with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide. You can add a drop of essential oil for taste...peppermint. spearmint, etc.
Baking soda will eventually remove the enamel from your teeth. Fact.

My husband will replace is bar soap and toilet paper...and that is it! He also has an aversion to throwing away anything from the refrigerator and will leave exactly 1/2 sip in the bottle and put it back in the refrigerator.

When we fist got married, I recognized that his dad would ask his mom where something was She would just jump up and go get it. I decided I was not going to play that game. When my husband tries that I will tell him where and then ignore him. It took awhile but he goes after stuff on his own.

My pet peeve is the bathroom trash can... i will literally refuse to empty it, hubby will leave it till all the trash is falling on the floor. The same thing happens in my home. Hubby is comfortable with me getting it. We both use ice from trays. I go to get some ice and There’s 2 ice cubes in the tray. How about toilet tissue?LOL

You guys are so funny, I also squeeze all I can out of the toothpaste tube. Heck, I cut my tubes of lotion or plastic bottles of lotion in half, you would be surprised at the amount that is left in there that you cannot squeeze out of those tubes and bottles. I get a lot more use out of them.

I have been married 52 years this May! My husband has no idea what is in the cabinets or refrigerator to get for himself to eat! If I leave his meal in the fridge for him I have to write his name on it or he won’t be able to find it!

My husband has a lunch fairy. He goes to bed and he wakes up to lunch made in the fridge. He does put it in his lunch box. He came home the other day to new tooth brushes on his bathroom counter. He said who knew I needed a new tooth brush? Like someone other than me bought him toothbrushes….i noticed holes in his underwear as I was doing laundry and bought new ones. If something were to happen to me, he would be lost. Or are we being played???

I watched a program that said brushing your teeth in the shower is bad. And not recommended by dentists.
😆 I can’t imagine how my body would know! Also I installed a water flosser hose that attaches behind the shower head and it’s amazing! Asked dentist about it and he said it’s an excellent idea we should all do! 😄

Does Steve keep the plastic on the remote because he doesn't want dust in the crevices near the buttons and the plastic makes it easier to wipe? Or, he knows the plastic will ensure he remains the rightful overseer of the mighty remote-controller?
LOL he would keep it on EVERYTHING if he could! I could see it hurt him when I peeled it off the fridge. He would have loved to keep the whole fridge covered in the plastic film 😆
